So, I heard back from uscis regarding our canceled oath ceremony via the online message center. The message does not make me feel good. It basically says that if they decide to reschedule it they will contact us. it has been almost a month, any thoughts? If I had known it would be such a big deal we could have tried to cancel our trip, obviously not ideal, but now I am starting to panic. Any thoughts on anything else I can do? Should we just wait and see what happens?

Its the oath ceremony. In one spot above I got it right and in one I typed the wrong thing. Unfortunately after I realized it wouldn't let me edit.

Just an update on our case. We had received a date of May 21st for my husbands oath ceremony. We are traveling to Mexico June 11th and would not have been able to get a passport in time (expedited is listed as 4-6 weeks)  so as per the instructions we wrote a letter requesting to reschedule. We received an update in our case that the interview was canceled. As of yet, we still have not received a new appointment. I tried to send an online message about the case, but have not received anything. Now when I log into USCIS I don't even see the N400 listed as a case. I still see the I-751. There is an error message at the top of the page I am hoping that it is a temporary error. I think we need to try to call and figure this out. I'm hoping we didn't really screw up with requesting to reschedule the oath. Just thought i would share in case anyone else has issues with their oath date.

Interview successful! We have to wait about a month and they will send us the appointment for my husbands oath ceremony. If it is a nice day it will be outside and I can go! If is raining it will be indoors, and unless things with covid significantly improve, then I can't go :(.

They asked him 6 questions for the test.

Not sure what the last question was.

They asked several of the questions from the application Have you ever been arrested? Are you a terrorist? Are you willing to defend the country if the law requires it etc etc.

They also asked questions about what bank accounts he has, which messed him up a little, because I have a tendency to change our accounts.

We made a minor mistake on the application about traveling outside the country. All the dates were listed, but one of the trips we took didn't say where we went. They simply asked where it was and all was good with that.

Overall he said the staff was very friendly. I had to wait in the car so I didn't get any of the first hand knowledge, but very happy!!

Anyway, when my Estimated wait time countdown reached 0 days I started getting this We're taking longer than expected message and nothing ever since... My estimated case completion time is next February, but I feel like it's more of a "don't even expect an answer before that", instead of the time when the case would actually be completed.

We must just be really lucky. I dont understand it.

Of course, many locations have been doing same day oath ceremonies during covid, but that may change with things starting to go back to normal.

I'll be curious to see if you have a same day oath or not. You'll have to let us know since you are the first up.

We've got about 5 weeks to go. My estimated completion says June and below where it says estimated wait time is listed as 3 months. It doesn't sound like these estimators are worth much, but in case people want to compare I thought I would share.

I randomly decided to check the uscis account today. It says as of today:

Wow about the civics test. Are the study guide and questions different for the two tests?

Also, we received our hard copy NOA in the mail yesterday. The same day we received a letter saying they would reuse biometrics. Our last biometrics appointment for removal of conditions was in May 2019. I honestly thought since we waited a year after removal of conditions that they would want to redo it.

Well, I submitted the application online today. Originally it was showing 10 month completion time, but when I checked a couple hours later it was saying 5 months. The mystery estimated wait time for me is 20 days. We'll see what happens then...

Also, the issue I had where I couldn't open documents I uploaded to review them, I can see them now that i have submitted.

I think I've finished my husbands online application, and we will be submitting in the next couple days. I'm wondering, for others who did the online application, are you able to see the documents uploaded? For me, it says uploaded successfully, but I can't review them. When I click the link it says

Encountered an unknown error.

I'm hoping that uscis will be able to view them even though I can't. Has anyone else experienced this, or can you all review uploads?

I'm also wondering what did you submit for evidence?

I have 3 years of tax transcripts, prior lease, current mortgage, 3 car insurance statements with both names over the past 3 years, proof of combined health insurance for the past 3 years, maybe 8-10 bank statements from 2 different accounts with both names spanning the course of the last three years. and proof that I am the beneficiary for his 401k. I'm wondering if that is enough documentation, or if I should be uploading anything additional. Just curious what everyone else is submitting.

Very confused here. I don't see where I quoted those letters. I am vermont service center. I applied 10/5/18 and got approved 11/02/19. Biometrics was in may of this year.

Yesterday my husband and I got a letter in the mail that said his application for removal of conditions was approved!!!!!!!!!! Now we are just waiting on the actual green card. I updated the table, but I am pretty sure that there have been other Vermont filers that were approved too. So I'm not sure how accurate this table is, even though it was the most recent one I saw in the thread.

My husband finally got an appointment for biometrics. His appointment is Monday.

So we are at the Vermont Service Center and recieved the NOA1 in a timely fashion with a date of 10/19/18. I'm seeing so many people at this center receiving their biometric appointments already. Most of whom, have NOA dates after ours. I'm wondering if somehow our letter was never delivered and my husband missed his appointment. Is there anywhere to check online for biometric appointment dates? Or has anyone ever called to check on something like this? We moved from CT to RI just after we applied and I'm wondering if because of that our letter got lost. I did update address with USCIS appropriately etc and we did recieve our NOA letter at our new address so I'm not sure why this would be affecting anything....but who knows.

When you receive your NOA it should also include an 18 month extension. That letter combined with your green card is proof of your legal status to travel and work in the United States until they complete your case. If somehow the process takes more than 18 months....I'm not sure...I would hope they would send a second extension letter...or I would hope that the process doesn't take that long.

We finally got the NOA in the mail. I'm a little late posting as we actually got it on Thursday the 25th.

The dates are funny: Mailed on the 5th, received on the 9th. Text message on the 15th. Online it says case was received on the 12th and the notice date on the letter is the 19th with received date of the 9th. It seems the address change didn't affect receiving our NOA in a timely fashion at all! I'm just glad that we have the proof my hubby is allowed to be here as his green card just expired. I did this a little to close to deadlines for my comfort. I guess the next step is wait for a biometrics appointment? Anyone have any idea when those start coming?

I haven't received my NOA letter yet either. I only know it was received because of the text.  I haven't been able to see my case status online until today either.  It lists my case received as 10/12/18 even though I didn't get the text till the 15th. Supposedly they mailed my letter, but I haven't seen it yet. We also changed our address after mailing our packet, which I'm sure will only complicate things....I didn't want to wait until after we moved to send the packet though, as it would be too close to when his green card expired. 

Got my text with receipt number. Our case was sent to Vermont. When I try using the number on any of the case status links I don't see anything yet. Oh well. I'll keep checking.

Sent our packet out today to Dallas. I hate going through all of these immigration processes. I have no idea what to expect for a timeline, or what happens after my husbands current green card expires. Now that I've got the packet in, I guess it's time to start trying to see what comes next.
