Good news! I filed my i -751on 11/14/17 to CSC WAC 1804XXXXXXXXXXX. I also filed for N-400 on the 11/14/18. My case was approved on 1/11/19 and new 10-year card received on 1/17/19. Though, I thought my filling N-400 would delay or call for COMBO interview from what I have read so far. But that's not the case. If your wish is to file N400, do it as soon as your window opens, you will be on the queue while waiting for a decision from USCIS. Good luck everyone still waiting. The wait is almost over.

Study the form once more and follow the instructions to make sure everything is filled correctly. You can down a filled I-751 template . Then if all is okay, why not!

The person removing the conditional residence is the Petitioner and needs to sign on 7. While the US Citizen spouse signs on 8.

What I mean is, here in the US it costs a few dollars to mail through our local post office and where he lives does not mail to your door. That's what I mean. I don't want to pay that much for those services. Yes I will make sure not to alter anything based on all of the answers prior. Thanks!

I requested and received my tax transcripts the other day and will be sending them to my fiance to prepare for his interview...my question is, does it matter to the consulate if I black out the SSNs or not? I prefer to black them out because there are 3 there and obviously it's a security concern should the docs be lost or otherwise. My fiance lives in Nigeria and because of the lack of adequate mailing system there, I am having them hand delivered by family members that are traveling next week for a burial. Thanks for your feedback.

What do you mean proper mailing system? Send it through DHL, FEDEX and let him have the tracking numbers and he will get it as soon as it gets there. The CO want to see everything without alterations which stands to render it invalid.Goodluck

Yeah I had the same problem! I submitted my application about a week and a half after yours, so hopefully I'll hear something soon. How exactly did you ask about your case? Did you give them your reference number? I called my local office before and the guy just gave me a generic answer to wait longer without giving me a chance to give my reference numbY

Ya I told the CSR how long I've been waiting and gave her my ref. no and demanded for updates I also asked for the last time a follow up was done on my case and she checked through the computer and told me the date , 2 days later I called back and confirmed a number has been assigned. So, I guess calling them and asking for a specific info helps a lot. All the we will all get through.

Applied for my SSN on February 16, the Lady gave me a paper with my info and reference number telling me it could take 12 weeks. She said they will need to verify with DHS before a number can be issued. Last week, I called and requested for a follow up. The lady told me there seems to be a problem, my middle name was added as part of my first name by DHS . I decided to call again today, behold good news. The number was issued on Friday. Going to my local office tomorrow to get my ssn while I wait for the card to arrive in mail

I'm so sorry for what happened at your hubby interview in Lagos. I do not believe the VO's in Lagos are so bad because I watched them give lots of approval on the day of my Interview. Things to note is that this guys already reviewed each cases before the interview. I also saw some being given 221 g for not able to defend there cases. I believe lots of people who are yet to attend their interviews are reading this. Please you need to make sure your relationship is made public like posting pictures on Facebook, updating dates of marriage, wedding photos with friends and families, receptions. Believe me, these guys do all these little search/checks and that's why some are approved on the spot. I do see reason why one should hide/keep their relationship secrete if there's nothing to worry about, at least for the sake of this process.

My advice, Please do not rush and send mails and evidences without first

1. Reviewing your case and check every document you sent to ensure there's nothing contradicting

2. Knowing exactly what they want from you

3. You can add a letter to explain certain discrepancies if need be.

4. Find what exactly the VO tell your hubby

5. This way you'll be able to sent documents/evidences that will convince the VO.

In all, am positive everything will go well.

Me …I made a magazine like photo album just for this purpose so I quickly brought it out of my well organized transparent folder and ready for VO

VO…I see you already sent some pictures to USCIS.

Me… Yes. My wife did.

VO… How and where did you meet your wife?

Me… I already was expecting this since am a regular VJ Member ask LonelaC and DWheels . (I met my wife in…,2009)

Me… We became friends not until August 2014 when I our relationship became serious, I engaged her and we got married since then, we talk everyday like 2times..Unless am @work.

Me…Well, as soon as the visa is granted, I will discuss with my boss for a possible transfer who was also at our wedding. Here is a pic of us with my boss.

VO….It seemed you had a very big wedding, who’s this? Pointing at a Government official.

Me….my friend and his wife, he gave me the SUV my wife used during our wedding.

VO…Did you do traditional marriage ceremony?

Me…No but we did the traditional rite, so I paid but no official ceremony because we wanted to host a big church wedding.

VO… Gave me my original Marriage, birth cert and brought out two sheet. Here’s where you pick your passport in 10 day and you will need to pay additional fee for your greencard. Congrats!

Hey DonT!!! May I ask where are you offshore? I used to work offshore in the North Sea and during winter time it was crazy with the choppers! I hope you're going to make it in time for the interview!!! Tell the Company Man you need to get off ASAP!

I'm currently @DW gulf of Guinea. West Jupiter DS . Hey, the signal is good, I ve just been booked to board the next chopper in 2hrs from now . I had to write to the superintendent in town cos the Companyman refused to book me out (He told me yesterday evening "Hey man! I really do understand your situation right now, but I can't just allow you to leave until we complete this well, am sorry") . Now, Checking out the first available flight to LAGOS online tomorrow morning . I'm yet to pick up my medical, I hope I don't forget my passport for Visa stamping .
