  1. I thank God for all he has done. Grateful that all the visa journey is finally over. Compliment of the season to everyone. Had my interview today and it was awesome. The consular was friendly and we conversed and laughed like this was so unbelievable. She didn't go through any documents I brought and that was the most thrilling part. My questions were like a conversation than a question. All thanks to God. I was asked the ffg; So your husband is calling u? How did u met? For how long have you known him? When did you become romantically involved? So was it the first time he visited you got married? Where does he live? So when I said Michigan she asked me what my husband told me abt Michigan with a smile? And I said he said it was very cold she yes. That her parents lives in Michigan that I should get enough winter wears for this season and I laughed that my husband had bought many for me. We bought laughed. Finally she asked me what I do? And I told her a physical therapist but am presently not working because my dad passed away recently so she sounded sympathetic she was sorry to hear that. And she said oh, we need a physical therapist in the US cuz it high skilled and she told me she had a friend who is a physical therapist and I smiled. She smiled and said ok your Visa has been APPROVED and gave me two papers where to pick my visa and how to pay for the green card. So glad God saw us to the end. I pray everyone here is approved like I was. No1 deserves to be apart from their spouses. Season greeting ya all.

    Sweetymcbeal,

A big congratulations to you. Happy you're done. What a good way to start the season. :) .

  2. DonT, it is working like that, thank you! It'll just take me a full day most probably since we have over 100k messages (so just imagine how many times I have to click to load everything lol).

Thank you though, much appreciate it! :star::jest:

LonelaC, You're welcome. I knew you were going to invest enough time doing it :) ,there are other options very easy but that won't give you Facebook background look. That was is why I prefer this option. Now you're almost ready to go

  3. Hi DonT! Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it ain't working :/ Are you using a specific browser? I'm using Firefox right now and when I right click on the messages it doesn't give me the option to save them as pdf... Hell, it doesn't give me any option to save/print :/

    LonelaC,

    Lets follow these steps carefully

    1. Log in to your Facebook account (Firefox/Internet explorer)

2.On the same page, open a new tab

3.Type www.m.facebook.com (this is where I missed it cos I gave you Facebook/messages)

4.Click on the message icon on the new page you just opened cos you already logged in

5.You will see the list of your friends chats

    6.Click on your spouse name

    7. it will open ,look at the top and you will see "Load previous messages" keep going as long as you want

8.Right click on the page and click on "Print"

    9. This will give you what you're looking for. (I used it and it worked for me, though I wasn't able to print all our chats as this will definitely require a mini-crane to carry it to the embassy  ).

This does NOT restrict you to 5 months or so. It can take you right from the first day you became friends on Facebook.

Hope the instructions doesn't sound too difficult

  4. Here you go guys, my experience at the USEM Abu Dhabi. Went to line up at 6:30am. There were 2 lines, one for immigrant visas, the other one for non-immigrant visas. There were already around 20 people in line. We were told to get our appointment letters and passports ready. By 7:45 they let us enter the doors for an airport-style security check, bags were not allowed, mobile phones were turned off and surrendered to the security where they gave me ticket number to collect it afterwards. After the security check, we were ask to go and wait inside a room. At exactly 8am, we we told to go through another door, to a walkway, into another room. Before entering that room, there was another security check, they checked my passport and appointment letter, gave me the number of 610. It was not very big, seats maximum of 150. Gave me a feeling of being inside a bank, albeit a smaller one. After that the pre-assessment started. It was the longest in the interview process. I had mine around 9 am mostly because there were a few families before me. My pre-assessment was at window 9, where an Indian man was conducting it. He asked for my ticket number, passport and appointment letter. He then returned to me the pictures my husband sent NVC,asked me what my work at the UAE is and how long I have been here, asked for my sealed medical packet from the doctor, returned the pictures my husband sent NVC, then told me to go to window 10 for my finger printing. Then I was told to wait for my number to be called for the interview. Pre- assessment for immigrant visas were at windows 7,8,9. Finger printing at windows 10, 11. There were a maximum 20 immigrant visas to be interviewed for that day. By 10 am, they have a change of employees and that was when the interviews started. There were only 2 consul officers doing the interview for immigrant visa, i was hoping mine would be at window 12 which is inside their office which would offer a little bit of privacy, away from the hearing of all the other people still waiting. Of course that did not happen!! By 10:30 am, my number was called at window 7, where a middle-aged lady, short haired and wearing glasses was waiting for me, smiling. She then asked me to put the 4 fingers of my right hand on the finger print scanner outside her window and asked me to say the oath with her. After that the interview started. Questions asked were: how long have you been married to your husband?, how did you meet your husband?, when was the last time you were together?, was I married before ( which I answered never!)? She then asked for a copy of my husband's 2014 taxes and the original of my Philippine Police certificate. She then told me congratulations, I could get my passport with the visa on Dec. 17 at 2 pm. She slipped me the pink slip, with the instructions and wished me a long and happy married life with my husband!!! The actual interview did not even take 5 minutes. I was not even asked for any of the original copies of my civil documents ( except for the one I mentioned above), nor to show any proof of relationship ( which I think because my husband already sent a few pictures to NVC), nor any proof of our correspondences!! The CO was very nice and cheerful. I was out of the embassy by 10:40!!!

    Congratulation! Good news everywhere :)

  5. Hi everyone,

I'm having my interview on January 19th and I'm already preparing all the documents that I will take with me. I was thinking that I could print out my Facebook conversations with my husband's family members (his dad, mom, sister, brother, sister-in-law) just to show the CO that i'm in good relations with basically everyone :)

    You guys think that'll help?

I had same problem. Now let's do this. 1.Open your facebook page 2.Open another tool bar or window. 3.type www.facebook.com/messages on the search botton. 4. a new page will open. 5. Click on messages 6.Load previous messages. right click and save as PDF. It will give you facebook look with all the pix. Let me know if it does work for you.Mine worked

  6. You know how it is in 9ja o. People come there with suitcases full and its allowed. An album 30 lbs (Yes I had a friend bring hers) its all good. Just make sure its an album with easy access to take pics out if they ask.

Just bring it. Originas they want to see if asked for and this truly is everyone's time at embassy to show all your creative artwork and things

Just remember you will have from 5 to 20 minutes. So I pray your I-130 Petition package or you side-loaded at NVC has all they need. And all you are doing is bringing extra evidence. An interview is never the time to TRY to submit new evidence. This is why we say front-load (at USCIS) and/or side-load (at NVC)

Bring what you have but know they aren't going to be pouring through 10 tons of pics. They already have all they need.

Highlight the visits. i.e., "Here's a pic on her first visit and our wedding where she stayed 2 weeks.....", "Here's the second she stayed 2 weeks...." blah blah blah. And here's her Visa stamps showing her coming and going. You get! :goofy:

    Thank you Dwheels!

Yes we submitted a lot, ranging from photos(engagement, wedding, etc.), Rebtel call details, Tons of e-mails, Western union, Wedding invitations, Wedding program, Flight Itineraries. Pre-nuptial e-mails btw U.S priest-us-Nig Priest discussing our wedding(Catholic Wedding can be so stressful  ), Amazon gift invoices) This was packaged in a huge box as little brown envelope could not handle it. I think we frontloaded. And we still have more to show them. Our facebook chats is 2012 pages :hehe: . We only printed about 200pages,Skypes about 100pages, Watsapp about 150pages.She said I shouldn't leave anyone behind. So, i was asking about the photobook cos I insisted am not going with it, instead I will make a few pages.

Nevertheless, I will do as you say. You're the best :)

  7. Congratulations.I keep my ears pretty open to scheduling. Soon as they start I tell what embassy is scheduling and startt calling.

So when interview scheduling starts for February which probably will be 1st week in January (maybe they will start end of December). So no need to call anyone.

Also everyone gets an interview letter. You have to get one to get medical and get in embassy.

So hang in there a few more weeks.

PCC is good for a year. The 3 months applies to your submission and you submitted by that time. Lagos no longer requires you to get new PCC if it expires at NVC.

Thanks dwheels. You've always been such a wonderful person. Please, you didn't say anything about my big 50 pages wedding photo book. Will I be allowed to go in with it? What if VO ask for photos how do I pass it on? I keep cracking my head on whether to leave it and make another photo album. I will also print more photos before and after wedding to add it. Sorry, for too much questions. I don't want to miss anything. Please kindly advise.

  8. Im over the moon!!!! Just got off the phone with NVC and its a confirmed case complete as of 12/9/15 after seeing the 3 N/A today!!! The rep told me I should just wait for an email with interview date. What is the next procedure and when should I start my barrage of phone calls for interview date should I not get this email?!

    Neldreemz,

Congrats!. Seems Jan is fully booked but might still be lucky to get one. Just give them a couples of days.

  9. @DonT,my album is big because it contain 100pics of our court, traditional&nikkah but I saw some people with 2,3 albums. but what they will just ask from you is to identify some people in the pictures&their relationship. No they did not ask for additional document but go with all photocopies because they lost police certificate of a lady but she was able to produce photocopy which they accepted.

    Idtinuke,

Thank you so much for your feedback. So is okay to go with my massive wedding album? I know PCC is for one yr but Nig PCC expires in 3months. I hope this not a problem? Enjoy your flight!

  10. Glory be to Almighty God, I had my interveiw today it was great and approved. I was asked the following questions:

What is the name of the petitioner?

    who is he to you?

how and where did you met

how did he travel to US

check the wedding album and my visa was approved. Thanking all VJ members for their support. @dwheel God ll grant all your heart desires. it was a job well done

    Idtinuke Congrats!

Please, how big is your wedding album? Because mine is massive :) and was just thinking if I should reprint some of the pics or go with a 5kg photobook  . Secondly, did they ask to see any document other than,PCC, Birth and Marriage Cert.? Ofcourse I know I should print my call logs, watsapp, Facebook etc. Once again congrats please throw more light on these questions cos my date is fast approaching.

  11. I'm Oct 28 scan date but I'm afraid to call and get put on supervisor review...Although it seems like many people are getting it reviewed quickly lately. Not sure if I should wait a bit longer or just call in and take a chance??

    Sean.law,

I suggest you give a few more days, you're still on track. Calling them now will trigger Supervisor review. Give it till Friday. I'm sure you'll get your CC this week. Seems they're currently working on 26TH Scan Date. All the best
