Btw timelines tend to be pretty useless for DV cases which is why most don't fill them out. There isn't even a DV option for the profile, we have to go "other"....

I had my interview on the 19th February, I checked my status a week later and saw issued your visa has been printed but have not receive my passport yet.is over three weeks what could probably be the cause for this delay.

Yay!! Thanks guys!! I'm now at the Nvc. This nvc seem's so complicated to me. My husband got the Letter the other day. This is my question I waiting on my passport to come back, so in the mean time I want to the items together. I have Id number and all so should I start the process or should I wait for my passport and police record first?

Note: I'm in another country so the police record from my home country is gonna take 2 weeks and my passport is one month.

Another question. Where do I send everything. I know I should send only copies but where should I send? my husband showed me the letters and it didn't say anything

This is the next steps and here you will need all the papers etc.

But you can start now to get all the papers etc. ready.

Hi everyone, Right now the current Form 1-134 Affidavit of support expires on 2/29/16. Our interview is March 9th 2016. I am filling this form out now and also having my parents fill out one,

(I currently meet the income requirements but in previous years was in college so did not, so just in case they are filling out the same form for my fiance)

The problem is I leave on Wednesday. Does this mean my Form 1-134 and more importantly my parents will be considered invalid?

Well i have seen ppl getting checklist for that.

So even if it´s going past all the checkpoints i would bring a updated version on a form not expired.

Just fill in the same information.

This is ONLY if they put up a new version before.

1. Sorry - when you abandoned the green card, the counter went back to zero. As an IR-1/CR-1 visa holder, you will have to have been a permanent resident for 3 years - starting from the date of your POE.

2. No - it does not count. The 18 months has to be within the three years since your POE.

If you are going for CR1/IR1 Packet 3 is nothing for you. The interview letter will be the Packet 4.

Most places also want you to bring the org. to the interview, same with BC, MC and AOS

I called NVC on Feb 25 and was informed that my case was approved on Feb 23,2016. My question is this, what date should I go by as the approval the date the Rep provided to me or the date of the email which is March 2, 2016?

Second, you will have to go with the letter that is the official date.

I just paid the IV fee now. Didn't know I have to wait to fill out the DS 260. I thought I could do it right away.

It´s all in the Wiki:

It states it on the CEAC popup that shows issued. on our it stated "If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application."

We got ours within 6 days but I don't know if there is a different timeframe for IR/CR's vs K1.

Just had a look and talk with someone and that is only for K1/nonimmigrant visa´s

So to prove domicile they ought to sign a document saying that we will live with them, right? Any advice on what to say in this letter? I was thinking something along the lines of

"When our son PETITIONER returns to the United States with his wife BENEFICIARY, we have agreed that they will stay at our property at ADDRESS until they have secured a rental agreement for accommodation of their own. If your husband can fill for tax, get bankacc. and be a voter. Then you are a long way.

Also the letter will be fine, that's what i did with my wife.

I received a letter that my case was sent to nvc.. would they send me a letter that they they received it? Are there steps that i can do in advance? Like filing i 864? Ds 230?

NVC will not let you know that they got it.

They will tell you when there is a case number.

But the best you can do is from about day 14 start calling them for the case and inv. numbers.

And as you where asked please fill out your Timeline and profile, so ppl can help you in the best way

I printed 70 pages from FB over 3 months and that was all we needed. But we also lived together in Denmark from 2001 to Dec last year. So it mad it a bit more smooth.

I´m not sure you need all of it.

You can have some information from FB and rest from Whatsapp.

The wait 10 days ISSUED screen shot should be removed from Wiki, it does not apply to IR1/CR1.

My status ans yours are identical, except for the case number and dates.

Most people from STK. tells me it need to say "10 days ..."

Is NVC scheduling interviews now? I thought it was the end of every month to the first week.

If they get some fre dates from a Embassy, then yes sometimes.

But not all Visa´ needs to wait for Date, some can book them there self.
