It was a smooth POE at Orlando airport.

But a 2+ hour drive to the sponsors house.

After being up for about 30 hours i was a little sleepy.

Was up after just 6 hours sleep, so will go to bed early tonight.

Does anyone know if NVC will be open tomorrow with it being Good Friday and all, also has anyone tried calling NVC about interview dates yet? If I remember correctly they started around this time last month and though February was short it was only short by a day or two with it being a leap year.This is extremely frustrating. Am I really going to miss another birthday not being able to be with my wife. Every email I receive I get jumpy thinking it's NVC. I been losing so much sleep that my eyes have gotten dark.

I did pay the fee, also today called the uscis and apparently it can take up to 60 days. Wonder why they say three weeks at all.

I have SSN and Florida State ID, so with my passport i´m good for the first year. So i don´t need to do the GC as the first thing when i land

Random question:

Have you ever seen someone who got approved at their interview receiving a call or an email from the embassy requesting additional documents?

I got approved at the interview, just had to sent them my BC.

After they got that, they emailed me that they needed my Updated AOS and then they mailed my my packet and passport.

So I have been in the US a little over three weeks now, but have not received the green card or the ssn in the mail yet. What do I have to do now? Anyone?

Haha it is so true! I'm from NY to and living in FL all these years has definitely thinned my blood. I guess I should dust off my jacket and winter hat (toque). Enduring the cold will be for a great cause, but I will still be whining though

Did you get a CC ? and if you didn't get a letter how can you know that i needed to ?

CC does not = Interview letter right after. It can be week and even months for some.

I am not at the point where you are in the process but from my understanding the interview letter comes from the NVC on behalf of the Embassy (country) in which you are petitioning for the beneficiary. I am not as well versed as so some of the others here but I would call NVC today and let them know that you never received your interview letter. You can elect to send a follow-up email to Kingston but I truly believe that you should start with the NVC.

If I understand correctly, from the information that I have read on their Embassy site and Andrews Medical Hospital site, you need the letter for both the medical appointment and to enter the Embassy.

Please keep us informed on your progress with the situation.

The letter it self can take weeks, i got mine a month after i got the case number and inv. number.

Did you get a DS-3025 from your doctor during your medical examination, it is for your personal use for employment, school or your medical record here in USA.

Did you get a copy in CD of your X-Rays to be turned to the CBP officer at POE?

Yes i did, got it in a email, the first one got lost in mail.

Yes i have a CD with my X-rays, last time i had to have X-rays them self with me LOL

Just finished the D261. But why I can not pay Aos fee?

They have to review it first.

*Important note: Once you fill in the DS-261 and it shows as complete, do NOT go back into the DS-261 as it will re-set the date and start the clock all over again for ~30 business days.

*Tip: if after a week of submitting the DS-261 and the IV fee hasn't been unlocked yet, you can try calling NVC and requesting they review the DS-261 over the phone. If the operator refuses to do so, try again until you get a nice operator that is willing to do so.

My wife's package came with a cut on a corner also. My wife asked about it, because she was concerned about the integrity of the package.

The DHL clerk said that all packages come with that cut, it is some type of signal or code for the BCP officer at POE.

My packet came with "normal" mail and had a tear in it. But nothing to the packet inside
