It is best to make a timeline which will show the country/embassy you are dealing with

i went to past messages and see that it is Ghana which like Morocco is a hard embassy to get an approval

i had to add my husband to my tax returns using a ITIN (see IRS site for non resident alien spouse)

and that ITIN allowed me to add him to my banking and water bill and deed to my house 

these showed commingling of finances which is so important in high fraud countries

that info is beyond what you asked but Africa countries are so hard

below is the normal financial info you want

normally,  for simple financial status, you get and send IRS transcripts for the last year (2018 till July 15 and 2019 after this date)

if a job is new send letter from employer stating job is permanent and salary and/or # of hours worked per week and $ per hour

if NVC wants more than the tax returns ,  they will send RFE and specifically ask for other (like banking )  info / and you would return the document  they need

If a joint sponsor is required,  you will be advised (not sure if that would be NVC or embassy)
