OK, thank you! When should I see the civil surgeon. I mean, should I do that now?
I just hope I can find a DR to fill out the I-693A and give me the shots without wanting to do all the other stuff.
If you have already sent the AOS paperwork without the I-693A you will probably get an RFE as it is one of the things you should have included in the AOS package. So you should probably go ahead and get it done. Make sure you call around to all the civil surgeons in your area to find the best price. Keep in mind that if you need shots you can get them from a regular doctor and take proof of them with you to the civil surgeon to be transcribed with the DS-3025. Good Luck with everything

Other have posted that they have just taken regular vaccination records from a family doctor and had those transfered ... Good Luck
Thank you for all the advice.
I finally went to a civil surgeon in Virginia to fill out the vaccination supplement and had 2 shots last week...he said that mine were received too long ago...:s
What kind were recieved too long ago? That sounds kinda strange.
They are MMR, tetanus & diphtheria!
I had to have a tetanus-diphtheria (Td) shot as well .. But i did it in Canada, before my K1 medical .. the nice nurse told me to make sure i had one before coming to my appointment ..

We went to the Pittsburg office .. there was five of us total !! My husband and step daughter ( as we had no babysitter ) and myself and my two kids ( all had bio appointments ) we all sat together and they did it all in the same room .. nothing but a desk between the cubby's they did the fingerprinting in and the chairs you wait in .. It was fast and everyone was kind ..
PS .. The gaurd was so nice he let the kids come behind his desk and sharpen their own pencils .. heheh and when i was done he joked with me .. asking if i wanted to try out his fancy sharpener as well .. and told me how nice of children i had ..

I saw someone mention that they were going to include evidence of a valid marriage in their AOS packet, is it necessary? How many people have done this, and if not, did it impact the approval?
I sort of thought that type of stuff would be addressed in an interview.
Gracias!
It's unnecessary - if they determine you don't need an interview, it's not going to be based on a few pictures and photo copies. If anything, it probably generates more unnecessary paperwork.
I Agree .. it's NOT necessary @ all .. we sent exactly what was asked for in the directions no frills and no extra evidence and we were tranfered to CSC and approved without an interview.

Yep .. it just takes some time .. I certainly wouldn't worry. Especially if they havn't even cashed the checks

Yay thats great news .. so much better to go and find out rather than worry .. i would be interested to know if they said anything about the reasons for not needing an interview as well !
-
I would keep in mind the change in the fee will take effect in the next few months from what i understand .. You can read about the new proposed fee's on the USCIS website ..

I took the staples out of ours ( carefully ) no big deal .. fold it take them out ..just be careful

Congratulations!!!!!
quick question- did you go to an interview??
From her signature it looks like they didn't have interviews. . . they were CSC transfers. To the OP, congrats!
Thx for the congrats everyone .. and nope , no interviews ! Best Wishes to those of you still waiting for approvals

but can't find the answer in any searches. The kids arent old enough to sign for themselves, so do I sign as the applicant or as person preparing the form other than the applicant?
Silly question I know but I'd rather be sure before sending in our AOS packet.
I called 1 800 # and asked them the same Q to make sure .. they told me i sign for the children and as the person preparing the forms .. so thats what i did and we had no troubles
-
my bad!
I didnt see the edit
But I do agree, they shouldn't need him with you cause he is a minor.
Weird interview scheduling though
There was no age in the post when i posted .. even if it had been my mistake i wonder how helpful pointing it out would be ..? Just trying to help

Okay, another quick question...if anyone can help it would be appreciated! As the information I need is regarding my son's case and not mine do I need to take him along with me? Secondly, I've made an appointment in my name as I am his legal guardian. Will they still be able to speak to me about it, because if not, it's a bit of a drive to go to then be told they can't tell me a damn thing...
I think that would depend how old your son is .. ? If he is a child and you filed the papers on his behalf i would think you could go without him .. that is probably an answer you CAN get from calling the 1 800 # ..

No, the Customer Service is often referred to as the USCIS (un)Help(ful)line. I get that it's inconvenient to go for an Infopass appointment, but I concur with the earlier advice. You're far more likely to get a straight answer if you go.
EAXCTLY .. the " miss-information " line .. they are not helpful @ all. If it was me i would make an infopass appointment ... it's too important to take chances. Considering there are some VJ'ers that have been denied for not going to cancelled interviews ..

It was a few days short of 2 months after a transfer to CSC before we got approved .. and we don't have an actual green card yet .. many many many others waited for much longer than we did .. I hope it goes fast for you but a week .. I think not so much

Hi,
My wife is naturalized USC and still has her A # (alien number) on her US citizenship certificate?
Should we provide that number under part 3B in I-485 application when submitting AOS papers?
Thanks!
Yes .. if your wife has an A# you should include it ..
-
Congrats !!!!! I hope your daughter's approval isn't too far behind as well .. I thought we would have to wait longer then a few days for my daughters approval .. So here's hoping your daughter gets her approval soon as well
-
I would think the same .. if your legally divorced in the USA your in the clear .. Good luck !
