nice.. thanks for the info

Now that the site is virtually overflowing with other Fil-Am K-1 couples, I thought it might be nice to consolidate our respective experiences into one spot -- it would make things easier for us now, and for whoever follows in our K-1 wakes!
MABUHAY!

The question is specific to the form you are using which is I-129F so the answer should be NO since you have not filed for I-129F before. Unless the form was design to be used with all other petition then the answer is YES and i believe that is not the case. Just my opinion.

Just curious if there's any May filer here who are still waiting for their IMBRA RFE in the mail. Please raise your hand

sup.. i'm originally from cabanatuan city too.. moved here in '85 and i haven't been back since then.. i still have relatives back there and i have a niece who's also looking for a job and it's not looking too good even with her college degree.. good luck on her job hunt and on your visa journey

You usually need to fill-out 2 G325A form (1 for beneficiary and 1 for petitioner) and the beneficiary needs to sign the form.
If your picture was taken using a digital camera then you can go to either ofoto.com or shutterfly.com. You can also go to your nearest Walgreens store to have it printed with the dates.

Has anyone here still waiting for their IMBRA RFE. I filed my I-129F in the first week of June and got my NOA 3 weeks later. Still waiting to be touch or IMBRA RFE in the mail. I know CSC is slow but i'm getting impatient now.

Congratulation.. I on the other hand is still waiting for my IMBRA RFE

this is my 2nd K1 petition too (first wife) but we are divorced now and the marriage lasted a little over 2 years.

My fiancee now was engaged to someone before and had file a K1 for her way back in 2001. The petition was approved but she didn't go through with it. Is that gonna be a problem w/ my current K1 petition for her?

Got it. So you can work for 90days w/ just an I-94 as a proof of work authorization (if not applying for EAD) until you get your GC. Thanks zixuandavid

i guess what i'm saying is to wait till green card is approved before applying for a SSN (for employment purpose) and get an EAD instead? thanks in advance
-
is it adviseable to get a SSN before getting married or after? thanks in advance
-
Can a K1 visa holder get an temporary EAD at any POE or just JFK?
-
So if K1 is authorized to work in the U.S. without specific authorization from INS then SSA does not need to put ""VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" on the SS card.. right?
-
do you still need a SSN if you already have an EAD? it seems like it's pointless to get the SSN if you can't use for employment without EAD anyways.
-
what does "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" on your SSN card means.. does your employer need to verify your eligibility to work? thanks in advance

Here's a helpful article http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/remcond.htm
You can still remove the conditions on your permanent residence based on marriage as long as you entered into a marriage in good faith, but the marriage was ended through divorce or annulment. If you are no longer married to your spouse, or if you have been battered or abused by your spouse, you can apply to waive the joint filing requirement. In such cases, you may apply to remove the conditions on your permanent residence any time after you become a conditional resident, but before you are removed from the country.

it does sound like a trick question but i'm sure everyone has the intention to work if you answered PERMANENTLY on question #26 unless you're only going to the U.S. to marry your fiance(e) then head back home w/in 90days. it's gonna be a big financial burden on the petitioner and not to mention boring if you will just sit home and do nothing. i guess this question is open to interpretation. anymore thoughts on this?
