Just got my approval notice today! It all happened super quick after my biometrics on 6/12. On the same day I got a notification that my new card was being produced, then 6/13 I got notice that my case was approved. Good luck to everyone else still waiting!!

To everyone having troubles looking up their case numbers on the uscis website, try using this site instead: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/. I was getting errors on the usual site ("At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case"), but I signed up for an account on this new one and added my case, and it tells me "We received your biometrics fee and will begin processing your case". It also gives you your case history as well which is pretty nice. Hope this helps!

I entered the US in Feb 2016 on K1 visa. My fiance and I got married in April. I got my greencard in September and started working.

We just recently filed our taxes online. It was accepted, and I thought everything was ok, but I have just discovered that since I was both a resident and nonresident in 2016, that I was dual status and we needed to submit a different return for this? I read the pinned post, but am still little confused. I didnt have any income from Canada at any point in 2016, except for about 3k in February, but that was before I even entered the US. Do you think this is ok that we filed normally, or do we have to file an amended return?

I had my interview in Memphis on Sept 2nd, same thing. She said we were approved, told us about removing conditions in 2 years. Didnt give us a paper or anything, said I should get my GC in a few weeks. I'm hoping nothing was updated because of the holiday weekend and that we'll see something with our cases next week!

Time to get GC all depends on your local USIS office. Her visa expired when she entered the US..the 'expiry' date is just the date you had to get married by. Once AOS is filed, she still has legal status, so nothing to worry about.

Got an update on i485...interview scheduled for Sept 2nd. Was reeeaaaallly hoping for no interview since we have no car and are 4 hours from memphis..cant rent one either :ranting:

After all those hardships april filers had to go through, it seems USCIS decided to waive interview for many people which is so amazing! Congratulations everyone!

I have one tiny question:

on Friday me EAD status changed twice:

once to show that the new card was being produced, then that the case was approved

does it happen to everyone? i thought it should be "ordered-produced-mailed-delivered-approved"

Am I wrong? cause right now there's practically no info about the card itself when it just says "approved"

Same thing happened to me, but my card came pretty quick! Not sure why the status changes went like that but all was well in the end.

So I got a text on the 16th saying my EAD was approved, and that the new card was ordered on the 16th of July. Case status updated to reflect card in production. Then on the 18th, I got another email saying that my EAD had been approved again? Now case status just says case is approved on the 18th? Anyone else experience this? I'm paranoid that USCIS has messed up somewhere lol

just curious how many people around my timeline hasn't received anything about 485 schedule for interview. So many people have already received this notice, but mine is still fingerprint fee is received......

also, I requested for change of address, have no idea how this will influence my timeline.

anyone has any idea about this? thank you guys.

Mine is stuck on fingerprint fee received as well..case hasn't been touched since May 11th. Maybe it's got something to do with the Memphis office..wouldn't surprise me lol

I sent mine before you and haven't received anything!

I did a service request online July 8th. As of now, it still hasn't been assigned to an officer, yet I was still approved. I'd probably send in a service request if I were you..it couldn't hurt. Hope your hear something soon

Does anyone here have the same situation of mine?

I recieved my EAD (with AP)and GC June 19. But my EAD name is incorrect. So I sent it back to USCIS. And then they mail me for biometric schedule again. My question is for what? I mean,I've done with biometric already..

If you've received your green card EAD isn't needed anymore.

Instead of spending money on K1 and subsequent AOS, why not just get married and then apply for a CR1 visa? You'll either have to get married in the Philipines and file visa or get married in US, return home and then file.

And your marriage certificate if your name in passport is different than your application (i.e maiden name on passport vs married name on AOS papers)
