Hamid, Sorry but my wife is the one who's going to for the interview. She will travel to Islamabad the day before the interview.
Everyone takes the Diplomatic Shuttle Service which is located at Avenue 3, Quaid-i-Azam University road in sector G/5 to get to the US embassy.

The figures from the DWheels data link for the period July and August last year indicate that cases were notified of scheduled interviews pretty much after a fortnight for nearly all cases, so at least people knew they may have a long wait to interview. The waiting is frustrating but usually we have some idea of average times between each step at the moment even those who are hanging on the phone to NVC aren't getting any indications.
BUT you are right - frustrating as it may be we have to accept that the wheels will turn and eventually pretty much everyone will know whether they will receive a visa or not in the end, however long that may be. Getting wound up just makes the whole thing more likely to end in a breakdown.

Do you not recall the June 9th issue and how long it took to be rectified?
Do you not think that maybe they are backlogged or very busy in the summer?
I see it EVERY year at this time of year (August) where there is a longer wait period. These are human beings who conduct interviews. As such they are also allowed to have holidays during the summer, with their children and loved ones as well.
If you are so concerned, contact your representative, or ask the embassy to make an interview date for you and request the documents from the NVC. Please note the response they give you to this and think about it. If they say they cannot, that is a line of bologna because that's exactly what happens when an expedite goes through. If they can, then congrats!
Oh here some data for you

Over 467,000 visas granted in 2014 of which 75,689 are USC spousal visas (IR1/CR1). I think the NVC is pretty busy.

LOL I really don't think the NVC has "paid employees" or shills here to curb our frustration and divert the blame. You're being ridiculous OP.
You are however correct in assuming that not many people are getting their interviews. I noticed on the spreadsheet that most countries with a CC date and no interview were Muslim countries. It's highly likely the embassies are backlogged due to Eid-ul-Fitr (biggest Muslim holiday, took place on August 17th this year I think) and will continue to remain that way well past Eid-ul-Adha (second largest Muslim holiday, last week of September.)
It's safe to assume that we're looking at a 90-120 day CC-to-interview interval rather than the ~60 that it had been prior to Eid.
To address Hellraiser's concern, it should be understood that the embassy sends out available interview dates to the NVC who then schedule your interview and send your packet to your consulate/embassy. The NVC has yet to recieve those interview dates. The delay is from the embassy.
Also, OP you should know that your embassy cannot tell you anything. They will literally say this to you, that they cannot tell you anything. I don't know who is telling you that it's the NVC's fault, but I'm certain that it can't be your embassy as they never entertain such queries.
In conclusion, I believe that embassies are the culprit, regardless of what their excuse may be. Best of luck to you all, as we're all in this together.
