SSA requirements is not per state. I went there a day after I received my combo card. The lady put my full legal married name. She based it on my marriage certificate as it was stated there what's my new legal name. Once you applied, you can check it in SAVE case check status.

My combo card has been mailed to me! Havent received tracking # not sure if they send any. Hopefully card gets here soon!
It took a week for my card to be in the mailbox. When your status changes to "Card has been picked up by the Post Office", then they will give the tracking number.

Got my combo card yesterday. And now, my husband and I just went to SSA office to have my card changed into my married name. Hopefully, DHS will verify my status fast so I can get my SSN card soon enough for me to start driving and job hunting. Sending good vibes to everyone. ???

Got my combo card today. Just wondering, if any of you knows if I can use my combo card to ask for a name change in my SSN card as my card still bears my single name. And if so, how many days do you think is enough for me to go in SSA office and ask for a name change? Thanks a bunch! Hoping for speedy process for the rest of the group. ♥️♥️♥️

Approval notices for EAD & AP received in the mail yesterday. Expecting for the actual card to be received later in the day. Received date for me was June 1st. My AOS still says "Ready to be scheduled for an interview". ☺️☺️☺️☺️

GRATS!!
My received date is june 1 closer each day!!!
My received date is June 1st as well. Yesterday, my EAD turned up "New Card is Being Produced" earlier in the day and in the afternoon it was "Case Approved" together with my AP. You might get update anytime soon. ☺️

I am able to track my case status now for I-485, the case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. The EAD and AP still gives validation error. Praying for a speedy process for all of us. ☺️?

I had my biometrics in ASC West Sacramento. Went a little bit earlier than the appointment time, had to wait for approximately 15mins. before they started to call those whose appointment time is 3pm. Filled out a form. All in all, the whole process took about 30mins. Now, the real waiting time begins. ?

Just curious if anyone has seen this;
We received 3 notices by email; all 3 are "USCIS Acceptance Confirmation" emails, all sent out a few minutes apart from each other. However, 2 of them, the 1st and last, have the same receipt number. I have no idea which one refers to what application (AP, EAD, AOS)
Typo, or is it possible that the AP and EAD are on the same number?
AOS, EAD and AP has different case numbers. Just wait for your NOA1 hardcopy. ☺️

AOS package was delivered on June 28th... we attached the electronic notification form. Should I still be expecting that they send a text and/or e-mail? Curious how long it takes them to 'accept' the package. They haven't cashed the filing fee, either. :/
I sent my packet May 31st, they received it June 1st. I received three texts and e-mails (AOS, EAD, & AP) on June 9 and hardcopy of NOA 1 on June 11. I just recently received my biometric letter last Saturday, July 2. Biometric appointment will be on July 14. Just hang in there, yours will come soon. ??☺️

Hey guy I have been reading other forums regarding the EAD and AP card we will get once we are done with biometrics, and I wanted to put this question here to find out your opinion or to see if someone has a precise answer.
Once we have the Avance Parole, can we travel outside the US or do we still need to ask for a re-entry permit to travel explaining the circumstances?
I found this thread but it's from some years ago. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/345637-entering-the-us-with-an-i-512-advance-parole/
I think the re-entry permit is only if you plan to be outside the US for more than a year, but still not 100% sure of it.
And the other question is, once we get the green card do we still need the EAD and AP card to travel or does the green card replaces it?
I will probably have to travel because of work and would like to go visit my family. I have a very sick grandma that I would like to visit.
It would be nice if someone who has also done this type of research on this issues could give me their two cents on this.
Thanks in advance.
The EAD usually comes together with the AP. It is called combo card. The AP serves as the re-entry permit. You can stay out of the country less than six months. Once your green card arrives, you can disregard the combo card. There are some cases that green card arrives earlier than the combo card.

I am happy for those who received their biometric appointment who I have the same timeline with, but don't get me wrong, I am envious as well. ? I just hope we'll all get this process over and done smoothly. ☺️

hi friends.
if some one is being kind enough to answer ,i wanted to know if once we have a 'biometric letter' in hand and its appointment date is like 3 weeks away. Can we still go WALK IN to our local office and ask for biometric get done, before the set biometric date in appointment letter?and if yes,,dont they need to see the appointment letter?which has later date after 3 weeks?
hope this will not go unanswered.. thanks
As per the previous posts of the members here that I've read, some are successful with their walk-in biometrics. Some are not. I guess, it depends on the volume of the applicants the office has to cater that day. I think, it wouldn't hurt if you try. Read some of the previous posts as well, your questions are mostly shared by the other members. ☺️✌?️

It seems like those who filed early this June got/done their biometrics. It has been three weeks now after I received my NOA1 and haven't heard anything yet from USCIS. ?
-
Good afternoon! Usually how long does it take to receive Biometric Appointment after NOA1? Thanks!
-
Only if you sign up on myuscis on their website and choose to get notifications sent to you.
I sent the G-1145 along with my packet. Just wondering coz I keep on getting validation errors whenever I check my receipt numbers on myUscis case tracker.
-
Just wondering, will USCIS send us an email or text notification everytime there's a progress on our case? Thanks! ☺️
-
Just got his finger print appointment letter in the mail today, appt date is 6/23.
Yay! Congrats ☺️ When's your NOA1?

I wake up this morning to show a cashed check - no e-notifications or emails yet and I did send those forms. haha
Good for you. Mine, still there's no notification nor the money order has been cashed. ??
-
Haven't heard anything yet if they received my packet. It has been received since June 1 as per USPS.
-
HeavensAngel, i just put a date on that part. I guess, it wouldn't hurt if you put a date. Leaving that blank may cause you RFE.
-
Sent in my AOS packet May 31st and it was delivered June 1st. Praying for a smooth process. ☺️??

Anyone here who flew through China Airlines? How's the lay over in Taiwan? How's the service? Will they ask for the credit card if the passenger is not the owner of the card? Any insights will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Most banks have wire transfer. I have an account with BPI and I inquired about wire transfer. They charge $14 regardless of the amount you'll send.

i just received my notice for an interview schedule and my online status is still stucked in "Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview". I guess, there's an issue right now with the USCIS system online. Might as well have the interview now. I have read somewhere that if your interview is waived now if you are adjusting from a K1, you might have to undergo interview once you will apply for Removal of Conditions.
