  1. i just received my notice for an interview schedule and my online status is still stucked in "Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview". I guess, there's an issue right now with the USCIS system online. Might as well have the interview now. I have read somewhere that if your interview is waived now if you are adjusting from a K1, you might have to undergo interview once you will apply for Removal of Conditions.

  2. Just curious if anyone has seen this;

We received 3 notices by email; all 3 are "USCIS Acceptance Confirmation" emails, all sent out a few minutes apart from each other. However, 2 of them, the 1st and last, have the same receipt number. I have no idea which one refers to what application (AP, EAD, AOS)

Typo, or is it possible that the AP and EAD are on the same number?

AOS, EAD and AP has different case numbers. Just wait for your NOA1 hardcopy. ☺️

  3. AOS package was delivered on June 28th... we attached the electronic notification form. Should I still be expecting that they send a text and/or e-mail? Curious how long it takes them to 'accept' the package. They haven't cashed the filing fee, either. :/

I sent my packet May 31st, they received it June 1st. I received three texts and e-mails (AOS, EAD, & AP) on June 9 and hardcopy of NOA 1 on June 11. I just recently received my biometric letter last Saturday, July 2. Biometric appointment will be on July 14. Just hang in there, yours will come soon. ??☺️

  4. Hey guy I have been reading other forums regarding the EAD and AP card we will get once we are done with biometrics, and I wanted to put this question here to find out your opinion or to see if someone has a precise answer.

Once we have the Avance Parole, can we travel outside the US or do we still need to ask for a re-entry permit to travel explaining the circumstances?

I found this thread but it's from some years ago. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/345637-entering-the-us-with-an-i-512-advance-parole/

I think the re-entry permit is only if you plan to be outside the US for more than a year, but still not 100% sure of it.

And the other question is, once we get the green card do we still need the EAD and AP card to travel or does the green card replaces it?

I will probably have to travel because of work and would like to go visit my family. I have a very sick grandma that I would like to visit.

It would be nice if someone who has also done this type of research on this issues could give me their two cents on this.

    Thanks in advance.

The EAD usually comes together with the AP. It is called combo card. The AP serves as the re-entry permit. You can stay out of the country less than six months. Once your green card arrives, you can disregard the combo card. There are some cases that green card arrives earlier than the combo card.

  5. hi friends.

if some one is being kind enough to answer ,i wanted to know if once we have a 'biometric letter' in hand and its appointment date is like 3 weeks away. Can we still go WALK IN to our local office and ask for biometric get done, before the set biometric date in appointment letter?and if yes,,dont they need to see the appointment letter?which has later date after 3 weeks?

hope this will not go unanswered.. thanks

As per the previous posts of the members here that I've read, some are successful with their walk-in biometrics. Some are not. I guess, it depends on the volume of the applicants the office has to cater that day. I think, it wouldn't hurt if you try. Read some of the previous posts as well, your questions are mostly shared by the other members. ☺️✌?️

  6. Anyone here who flew through China Airlines? How's the lay over in Taiwan? How's the service? Will they ask for the credit card if the passenger is not the owner of the card? Any insights will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
