  1. agreed. My only concern was that, being downwind of flaming flatulence could be somewhat alarming for an innocent party or the environment. Have you found any particular brand/bean style to be especially juicy? I was curious as to the power of Bush's Baked Beans over Heinz.

  2. I agree but ewe.

No one wants to laugh more?

I feel like I laugh plenty. In fact, this board sometimes makes me feel like I laugh too much. I don't need laughter clubs. Just give me a can of beans and about 3 hours and I'm good to go.

Hoptza! I see another immigrant punk!

For the love of all that you hold sacred, just stay away from any lighters, matches, or any other kind of open flame.

  3. I am so very sorry to hear this. I hope that things work out in the way that is the best for the both of you. I don't come around very often but I always do enjoy reading your insights (and your smackdowns  ), you have a lot of heart to offer people. Wishing the best for you and D.

  4. I have a suggestion. It is possible that some of the city colleges and universities in Florida offer a group health insurance plan. I had to enroll in this several years ago (in CA) when I was attending a local college because I am considered uninsurable for private health insurance due to a neurological condition. I was denied by every insurance company around, but the group health through the school took me. I cannot remember the name of the company that offered the policy but they allowed payment per semester or for the year. It was basic health but it was insurance. I am not sure if such a plan is still available but it might be worth looking into. I am not sure if you would have to be full-time student or if part-time is acceptable though. I am sorry, I do not recall if you said how long you were in Florida but also something to bear in mind is the residency requirements to avoid paying out of country tuition. For a local city college here, my spouse needed to be a resident of the state of California for a year to avoid the out of country fees. His first semester, he missed that requirement by a week and we had to pay over $650 for one class. I took the same class for $60.

    Hope this helps,

  5. Hopefully we will go to the gym, clean our homestead, watch Blades of Glory and Rush Hour 3 and order some Crispy Sesame Chicken, House Fried Rice, and Fried Shrimp from our beloved Rice Queen. Yum!

Err....Eat cake and drip with contempt? Sounds good to me too. I wonder if I could convince my sleeping beauty of that. Blow off the gym, cleaning house, etc and replace it with cake. Wish me luck.

  6. I don't get the whole Goth subculture - especially when it goes beyond a teenage fad. People in their 30's dressing up like The Crow. They should all cut their hair and get a job.

What's to say that a lot of the older goths that you mention, do not have jobs? A lot of members of the Goth subculture do have jobs, own businesses, etc. Just as a lot of members of most subcultures have gainful employment, own businesses, etc. Just because a person chooses a certain non-conventional lifestyle does not mean that they are welfare hounds.

  7. Even in those instances where they throw a complete blinder?

    ie:

Top five places you will find a lost television remote:

    5. Under magazines on floor

    4. In kitchen by the refridgerator

    3. Boyfriend's hand

    2. Under seat cusions

and the number one place you will find a lost remote.....

    1. Beagle2, Mars lander!

    Hooray!!!!!!

ps: edited to add that this is in reference to LisaD's post....

  8. Hello

I have a question that I am sure has been posted many times, but I have not been able to find it. I apologize if it has been covered many times over. My brain has been somewhat linty lately, I blame work sucking away all my active brain cells. My husband I wondering about the bonuses to dual citizenship. He is English and I am the Yank. Does anybody have any advice for us as to the ins and outs, pros and cons, etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  9. Hiya

We were told that my husband could not get a Cal ID because there wasn't 60 days left on his visa. We have to wait until he gets his approval letter/greencard.

ps: good luck sarah and hicham. I hate the DMV almost as much as I hate the dentist and the gynecologist. Did you schedule an appointment for the DMV? We were able to schedule on online for our local office. When we went we were in and out in good time.

  10. It's not being a drama queen, I am sick of people making fun out of my spelling or mistakes instead of correcting them.

It's not the spelling. Trust me. I always spell "**" and "shite" wrong and nobody ever busted my chops for it.
