thank u ,but if my uni is agreeing to give me admission in the course

is it legal for me to take the course

i wanted to do a course at university.

by saying ill be free means...i will not be able to work and all ill b doing is to wait for AOS to get approved and gonna have spare time...so i saiid ill b free.

do u think i should call USCIS to ask themm....is it a good thing to do

or shall i just go tp particular university and talk about my status and course??

i just want to value my tme in a productive way ???

Hi friends ,i am just wandering like i know we cant work until our AED is in our hand, now i have recently applied for my AOS status and i wanted to do one of course at university - as i know ill be free few months untiL my AOS is approved.

so my question is can i go for a course??? or not or have to wait until my AED or AOS is approved??

hey friends im a newbie in terms of filing AOS. I need some answers please so i can prepare my self for the waiting game.

I have sent my AOS packet yesterday on 6/24/2016.

my Questions are , i know we will get text once USCIS gonna recieve our packet.but i wanna know

1. How long it takes to get our Check cashed.

2.Do we get three text from USCIS saying different case # for Package for AOS / AP / EAD .

3.Are we gonna get three NOA's for i485, i765, i131 in the mail.

4.How to track (what website to follow) once USCIS have our case.

5.How long it takes for biometrics( what they need at biometric appointmen,any interview etc)

6.Once u have biometric ,do all of us have to go for interview.

7.How long it take for our EAD, and AP.

I know they might b simple or silly questins but it wil b great help for me to understand the whole time again,approximately

Hey guys we married last month and my wife has changed her name on Socisl security and driving license .

My question is that since she is s USC and has changed her name , I read here on vj that people are sending "Copy of petition for name change" along with AOS packet !!

Do I have to also send "Copy of petition for name change"???

I need advice asap please ...

I am the one who married her & she has her old name on our marriage certificate !

But once we got married last month ,she changed her name on driving license ,social security already ..I am confused about her name in passport !

Ok we are thinking if my wife has to change her name in passport too? As she has all the stamps of entry and exit when she visited me ...she has changed her name on SSN card after we are married now ..so how to work on it ?? As I think if we gonna go to passport office they will keep her old passport to issue new one ??and new one gonna has no stamps ?? We are sending her passport with AOS packet ?? I'm just wandering as her name in all the AOS forms & social security card and driving license has been changed now & as you know we have to send her passport with AOS packet. If her old name is there ..does it a problem ? Or we need to change passport with her new name ??

Hi vj family !

We are applying for AOS, and almost there to send the packet ..my wife changed her name after our marriage & now we have to sign in the AOS forms and various other places ...but she has not changed her sign yet ..and I think as she changed her name & her old sign(signatures ) says her old name !

Now in this case do we have to file some kind of "petition for name change"??

How this gonna work ,she has until now her Socual security card with her new name after marriage ? Can she simply sign the new signature or process is more complex ?

As USCIS previously have her old signature in K-1 packet when we first apply for ..does it gonna make difference with old and new sign of her ? If yes what possibly we can do & where to start as she has her SS card with her new name now ,but we didn't sign on the card as we don't know if she can sign the card with new name ,when she has her old sign with rest of other places ..like bank,driving license,lease etc...Does USCIS will ask for old sign or new sign is fine with them ..if not ..what we will be doing as she need her new sign as her name is changed now after marriage

Ok does any one know ..his long it take to change the band again ,as u know my wife SSN is in process & we might be getting it any day next week ...can we give an application to change the name & do they need just a marriage certificate to issue SSN card again to my wife.

And or is there any time limit in guide lines of social security that you have to wait certain time to change the name again once the card is issued??

I worry if there's time limit than I might be running out of time to apply AOS, as we need SSN of my wife for various documents to start applying for .

Do u think I'll b able to apply the SSN of my wife again as soon as I get to change the name ? Or I gave to get some kind of court orders to do that ?

Isn't SS office as important as USCIS ?

My wife is USA citizen & she still are positive that this is US custom & this is not US law .
