Hi Kayla,
I am in the exact same situation as you. I received my NOA on 8/23/17, did the online service request, got the same response.
So I decided to call USCIS today and also spoke to a tier 2 officer. She said that no appointment has been scheduled for me yet and this case can take up to a year so all I have to do is wait. I asked her if she can put a request on my behalf, she refused and told me that whenever USCIS decide that they need a biometrics taken they will schedule the appointment. What is that supposed to mean???
Why did I not get the same response as you did? I am so frustrated right now
Any words of advice?
Thank you!
Yep totally agree with usmsbow’s response. Everyone gets different answers from USCIS. In my case, the tier2 person I talked on the phone never mentioned about my biometrics being waved. She put a request on my behalf and told me I should receive an appointment letter in 15 days. Instead, I recevied a letter stating I don’t need biometrics this time, they’ll re-use previous biometrics they have on file. If you’re too worried, I’d recommend calling them again. This is all we can do, calling and just waiting, waiting, and waiting....

Hi, has anyone tried to apply for TSA PreCheck with the 1 year extension letter? My green card is already expired in October, and I have the 1 year extension letter and driver's license. Would I be eligible for TSA PreCheck?
Thanks! 🙏

I had no issue renewing my driver's license with the extension letter in CA, just bring your driver's license, expired green card, the extension letter, and passport (just in case they require) to your local DMV.

I got the NOA1 on 8/1/2017. Called USCIS on 9/21, and got another email on 10/4 below:
We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice, by mail, once an appointment date has been established for you.I still don't know what to do next. At least I know I'm not the only person and you guys are not the only people on the same boat. I'll try to get more updates and will let you know.
I received my NOA on 7/28, submitted online service request and received pretty much same email as you. I decided to call USCIS about 2-3 weeks ago and spoke a tier 2 person. She put a request on my behalf and told me I should receive a letter in 15 days.
Couple days ago, I did receive a letter saying I don’t need biometrics this time. I also got the receipt number to track my case online. I highly recommend calling USCIS. Good luck!

Update: I called USCIS and talked to a tier II person about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday, I finally received a letter saying that they can use my biometrics data that's done in the past, and I don't need biometrics this time. Probably, this could be the case too for the people who are still waiting biometrics appointment. Honestly, I don't think the online service request is accurate because I also received an email stating they're still in the process of scheduling my biometrics appointment when I didn't need one...

For some reason these "longer delays" are only happening to people who filed in late July... Everyone else seems to be getting biometrics on time...
Now i wish I'd waited a few days to file
I know! I see a lot of people who filed in early August already got biometrics... So weird.
I called USCIS today and spoke to a tier 2 person, and she said nothing scheduled for me and they should have scheduled by now... She filed request on my behalf and told me I should receive a letter in 15 days. Now waiting again and see if it actually happens...

It's been more than a month since NOA and no bio appt letter yet. Is anyone else still waiting on it?
Same here, it's been almost 2 months for me since NOA...

It looks like people who applied early August are getting biometrics appointments, but not end of July applicants. I sent my packet on 07/25/2017 and received NOA on 07/28/2017; but still haven't received biometrics appointment. I understand it is just random but it is so frustrating! I sent e-request and still waiting for response from USCIS. Should I call?.. Has anyone who applied end of July received biometrics?

Just sent my package today!

Hello,
I am about to file a petition to remove conditions on green card (I-751) and need a little help with documents. My husband and I have a joint bank account since 2015 but barely used it (most months don't have any activity at all), and was wondering if the documents I have will be sufficient. The documents I prepared are following:
- Copy of IRS tax transcript filed jointly (2015 and 2016)
- Copy of apartment lease agreement with both name on it
- Copy of car insurance both name together
- Copy of renter's insurance both name
- Copy of health insurance both name together and designated beneficiary of each other
- Copy of Fidelity (403B) with designated beneficiary of each other
- Copy of credit card statements ( I am an authorized user under my husband but statement shows both name on it) and we use this card for grocery shopping
- Copy of PG&E bill both name together since couple months ago; other bills under my husband's name but shows same address
- Copy of pay stubs showing same address
- Copy of flight tickets/hotels (about 4-5 trips in 2 years); one of the trips was with my brother in-law and his girl friend (can provide couple pictures)
- Copy of flight ticket to my husband home which my brother in-law purchased for us
- Copy of receipts/credit care statement for gift to each other (apple watch, necklace, purse, perfume, flower delivery, wallet)
- Copy of couple wedding invitations from friends addressed to both of us with our current address
- 40-50 pictures together of past 2 years
Although we don't use our joint bank account, my husband writes me a check every month for half amount of rent/utility bills. Should i include this proof in replace of joint bank account? or it will look more suspicious?
Thank you in advance!!

Finally received my green card! Here's my timeline.
04/28/2015 - Received NOA
05/21/2015 - Biometrics done
07/07/2015 - EAD approved
07/09/2015 - new address update requested
07/21/2015 - new address updated (after several phone calls)
07/29/2015- EAD received
09/09/2015 - Interview done!
10/08/2015 - Received green card in mail. Yay!!!
I updated my address online which USCIS never updated in the system. I had to call them several times to make sure they have my new address. Luckily, everything worked out well. In terms of interview, my interviewer was nice, very straightforward and smile at times. My interview took about 15 minutes and I was approved on the spot. Most of the questions she asked was about information that's on the file already, and some questions about our marriage/new documents I brought with me. That's it! Wasn't too bad.
Good luck everyone who has upcoming interviews!

Congrats to everyone who got EAD/interview!
Just wanted to give you guys my experience cause this forum helped me a lot going through this very stressful situation!
My NOA was 4/28/2015 and EAD was approved on 7/7. Still haven't received approval notice or the acutal EAD card cause I just moved a week ago. I've submitted online address change form but I called uscis today and just found out that it was actually never updated on their system. But it got all cleared now and the representative said I should receive my EAD and interview notice real soon!
Another problem I had was my new job started today but I had no ead card with me. The representative said I am legally allowed to work in the United States and even gave me the expiration date of my EAD. And he told me that my employer should be able to e-verify my work authorization. I went to sign my papers today (including I-9) and it all worked out just fine! (But I already had social security number from OPT) My employer never even asked me to show them any
Now just waiting for my EAD card and interview!
Hope this helps in any way for you guys
Good luck everyone!

Hello everyone,
It looks like people who applied in April starting to get their EADs approved.
In my case, I applied I-130, I-485 & I-765 in April 2015.
NOA - 04/28/2015
Biometrics done on 05/21/2015
EAD still pending as of today day 76
I have a job offer starting 7/20 but my EAD hasn't been approved yet. I already pushed my start date back once, so it would be my last chance to work there. My question is, should I expedite my case? or just wait for it? I read somewhere that it could take a long time. I can't figure out which way is better for me..
Any comments would be appreciated!
Thanks
