You don't have to wait. I submitted my k1 petition the day of my naturalization and now approved(check my timeline). Just make sure to triple check your documents before submitting to avoid RFEs. Good luck mate!

to those who have, please keep us updated if you can. Im curious to know about the process at the US Embassy Manila (how long it takes to get interview, etc)
