    Oath Details;

    We were called from the waiting area a few minutes after the scheduled appointment at 11:50 and lead to the area for the Oath Ceremony, where we were spaced out. There were 5 of us and 1 interpreter for one of the oath takers.
    They review your form, ask you to review the certificate, take your green card and tell you where to sit. There's a screen between you and the oath officer.The chairs are spaced out.

    Once everyone was seated they started off with a speech, then everyone stands with their right hand raised and says the oath. Then he explained what was in the envelope he gave us:  passport and voter registration directions. He advised that there was another ceremony at 1, so not enough time for pictures and showed us how to exit.

    It was over by 12:05. The multi year journey is over.

    Note: there were a few people called when I was in the waiting room that didn't show up.

    Congratulations!!!

    Thank you for the follow-up. Baltimore is apparently taking their sweet time. Mine was de-scheduled mid March, I wonder what are they doing 🤦🏻 It doesn’t seem orderly at all

    I think you should hear soon. It seems like they have small groups but it’s obviously several groups a day. I’d advice to write them on ELIS - uscis in-line account website, I wrote their twice and you actually get the response from officers, at least it looks like.

  3. So what can I say... became a US citizen today! The process is very streamlined- you are guided, in line always 6 feet apart, a few people in the building and I did not see many interviews or other appointments happening. However, it seems like they are doing interviews in the main lobby as I’ve see Ipads installed in the main lobby next to the windows. Also, there were about 25 people naturalizing today in one room and my time - not a lot.  What’s interesting is many of these people had interviews in February and March as I overheard, which suggest a long wait for those not scheduled at the same day after interview.

    They told us same Thing after waiting 2 hours after my interview to get oath. Then they asked us to go home, I started yelling really bad on all of them for over 10mins. The office they interviewed me said he never saw on my file that any file was missing in the first place for them to cancel my December interview. They don’t just want to do job ontime. After I yelled at them they asked us all to come back in and sit down then they gave us the date. So if I didn’t do that we would all still be waiting for their rubbish. When I checked my uscis.gov account it says approved and date will be sent but says also completion date is now September from May that is was before. I don’t really care though, I have the date and time and all letters required for oath.

    Good job! Well given you had this erroneous cancellation experience, I can totally understand your frustration. I really hope I can get sworn in before May as I’m planning to go home at the end of May and will need to apply for a passport.

    Hi Pupa, thank you for sharing your experiences! Did she ask any question about your spouse or just asked for tax transcripts? Did you show your 2018 or 2019 version?

    You’re welcome. The IO actually looked through entire 2014-2018 Transcripts, and asked on EVERY of them if I filed and paid in full which I did. I only owed 2018 and it was paid so she was satisfied with the answer. But I think transcript also shows it.

  6. I am here to describe my N-400 interview experience this morning. It was short and sweet, I was called on time and the officer was nice but sticking to the application. She verified all the answers, then we did history and gov test- passed. She asked me to show the tax transcripts - I’m glad i ordered and brought them! No issues, but I would recommend taking official IRS transcripts to your interview. She also asked to see LPR card, social security card, passport, and drivers license. At the end she printed “Recommended for approval” letter and said that she has no issues with the case and told me to wait in the waiting area to be called to pick the oath date. Within 5-7 min, the same officer appeared and called me back to say that they having tech difficulty with scheduling now, and she said I would be getting letter in the mail. That was a bit disappointing but i’m ok with that. When I was getting into my car, I got the USCIS status update stating “The Oath Ceremony Will be Scheduled”

    So I take it that all went well. I will keep you posted when I get the letter in the mail and on dates.

    I am so excited for you! I hope mine will be scheduled soon. I am under 3 years rule as yours. Are you bringing a lot of supporting documents?

    I will bring updated financial evidence along with copies of some evidence that I submitted with N-400, but I hope the IO will have the whole filing (I paper-filed) in front of him/her- that was the idea. So not a lot, but all relevant and updated.
