  1. Well after many days and countless tries I've finally managed to create and actually log in on myUSCIS so now I have something else to obsessively check besides my mailbox. And I haven't even had my biometrics done yet :)) . Here's wishing for full mailboxes for the people still waiting for their NOAs and biometrics. :)

Got an email this morning. Getting an RFE. Hopefully its something simple!

Best of luck to everyone! :)

Wishing you all the luck in the world!

  2. Well after many days and countless tries I've finally managed to create and actually log in on myUSCIS so now I have something else to obsessively check besides my mailbox. And I haven't even had my biometrics done yet :)) . I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one going through this and it actually makes the whole process a little bit easier and less lonely. Thank you VJ friends!

  3. I was married for 3 yrs before i married an US citizen, when i entered i came to visit..not to stay, my intent was not to stay because i had a life in mexico and a husband. So I didn't cross any law..

assuming is the worst thing someone can do.

My apologies, I wasn't trying to assume or insinuate anything. You just have to be very careful how you word stuff as it can be misconstrued by not only people on here but more importantly by the people that will decide "your faith" :D Mult noroc in continuare!

  4. My passport was not stamped Honey!! so idk what are we talking about..i came from mexico trough el paso driving

Was a conversation of two sentences.. hello/hello where u going/ safe trip! (They said oh uuuuu good looking chick moves in USA! )

If you entered on a b1/b2 visa I sure hope you weren't "moving" to the US, you were just visiting. The extenuating circumstances as to why you overstayed are a totally different thing but if you entered the country on a visitor visa WITH the intention to stay permanently and get married that will be seen as visa fraud regardless of how long you've been married to a US citizen. Also, without filing for AOS and going through the process and getting approved, being married to a US citizen does not give you any kind of legal status in the US.

  6. Sadly I got a RFE yesterday. My wife was out of a job 2013 June to 2014 May so even thought she is making over 40,000 a year now they still need a co sponsor. Feeling down every set back is heartbreaking .

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's crazy how many hoops we have to jump through just to be with our loved ones. Wishing you nothing but smooth sailing from here on out.

  7. When did you send your package?

My lawyer said he sent it on the 25th and that it should arrive at the Chicago lockbox between 26th and the 29th of June (because of the weekend). Honestly, I think if I would have found out about VJ before I hired the lawyer, I would have done it by myself. But I felt so overwhelmed, being almost 5 years out of status (although married that whole time), that I felt I needed a lawyer. :( I hope I hear something soon...

  8. Gonna jump on here with a question. Me and my husband have been married for 4 and a half years but only now (the end of June) have we filed for my AOS. I asked my lawyer if that means I will get a 10 year green card or the 2 year one and he kinda looked at me like I was crazy and said that it's gonna be the 2 year one. So now I am all kinds of confused. I mean it's not that big of a deal, I'm just happy to finally be on the way to a GC but hell, if I can avoid having to file for ROC in 2 years I'd be even happier. :)
