  1. Hmmm....

Yana32, you are congratulating Mad & J, but quoting me, so I am not sure who you are asking your question to.

However, as I explained earlier, there truly can be no 'case before you' as Mad & J posted, because TSC does not process files in order, and the NOA1 Case numbers are not in any specific order either. However, there is a chronology to the numbers, and somewhat of an order, based on the internal timestamp of the case files, which cannot be seen on the Receipt.

For example, My case file is SRC1590222846, which is a March 5th NOA1, There are 13 others, (small group, as some days have upwards of 150). I have an APP on my iPhone called Case Buddy. It's free. It allows me to input multiple USCIS case files, and check on the status at anytime, just by selecting 'Update'. Since all of the March 5 cases begin with SRC1590222, that means that I only had to cycle through the 1000 different combinations that are the last 3 digits to locate the other 13 numbers. The smallest being 511 and the largest, (mine) at 846. I have all 14 plugged in to the Case Buddy APP, and can check on all March 5th Files as often as I like. I will know when a fellow March 5th case is Approved, or RFE'd before it is ever posted on Immifairy, and possibly before the lucky Approved Couple does.

So, as Mad & J posted, it IS Possible to know that the file 'Before Yours' is approved. even though it truly is not 'Before', just 'Near'.

    Tom

Ohhh sorry Tom i meant to congratulate mad and j. I must have hit the wrong button as i am reading and rereading and tryinn to understand things. This is crazy and i wish the waitig would end soon.

  2. Congratulations to you!!! :) thats giving me some hope... I hope we too will receive some good news soon. How do you know the cases before you?

If you look back to page 20 of this thread, I posted a question, "What is your REAL NOA1". From your description 'Our receive date was feb 25 and we received email notif mar 2' it sounds as if your real NOA1 may be earlier than March 2. The date listed as 'Received' on the Case File Status page when you type in your SRC case file number, is your actual NOA1. It is also the date in the middle of your hardcopy. The date that the notice was sent only refers to the mailing date of your hardcopy, but the date listed as 'Received' is the one that was used to enter your case file into the system.

    https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus

Ours was mailed on Feb 28th, Received on March 5th, and notice mailed on March 7th. So, we are in the system as March 5th filers.

  3. There is no sequence.

USCIS receives about 20,000 applications per quarter, so SRC numbers are assigned according to availability. If you go here

    https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus

You can plug in your Case number to check your status. However, if you change the last number of your SRC (the last three), you may see the status of a completely different visa application, and one that was filed days, weeks or even months different from yours. For instance, your case number may be SRC1590221***. and when you type it into the link above, it returns the status of your Case file, but also lists that your case file is a I-129f, Received on March 2, etc...

But if you change even just the last digit of your case number by 1, the response may show an I-797 Received on August 8, 2015, or a note that a Green Card was Mailed, tracking number is "....."

No sequence to the numbers, and neither rhyme nor reason to the way TSC chooses files to process.

    (Tom)

Thank you Tom! Our receive date was feb 25 and we received email notif mar 2. Still waiting for noa2. Taking a toll on both of my partner and i but we are trying to be patient. Hoping for the best. And praying for everyone who are still waiting too.

  4. No, they aren't accurate. However, they are a good tool to see where the rest of the VJ members are in their process and an average of where your NOA2 may land. I think it's close enough, though. Some will get their NOA2 earlier and some later. For example, there are still some January 2015 waiting, while some March 2015 filers are getting approved.

Since TSC doesn't seem to process K-1 petitions anymore, then maybe they will finish our September with one last good faith effort push to get their cases out the door and on to NVC! For our case, we got notifications late in the evening, so I suggest you don't drive yourself crazy during the day. Make sure your USCIS account has the electronic notifications turned "ON", even if you sent in the e-notification form with the petition.

Keep in mind your sacrifices will be worth it!

Ohhh ok ok.... Thats really encouraging :) i guess i should just relax a little and be excited about this all and hopefully iy doesnt take long. Are you also waiting for your noa2? Whats your noa1 date?

  5. Thank you guys for all your replies.. Do you know if the estimates here in VJ gives a spot on? It says we will br adjudicated somewhere brtween aug 27 - sept 22. I hope its really soon. :)

Yana, there are two March K-1 filer threads. One for both CSC and TSC and one exclusively for TSC. I suggest following at least the TSC one so you can see the March TSC filers getting approved and share your joy! That will give you a place where you can see what people have gone through to the next step too.

    Yes, you are almost there!

  6. Thank you dear! I hope it works out with you real soon too... So maybe if 6months for our lapse i may also call USCIS, actually getting worried that the application got piled up of other applications.

I wish you and your husband the best, expedited process and hopefully we will be reunited with our loves soon. Me and my boyfriend have been away from each other for 7 months now and dont know when we get to hug each other again. :)

  7. Hello

I found the estimates produced by VJ to be very accurate. The accuracy is only as good as the data entered by the users. That is why it is so important to fill out your timeline properly and keep it updated.

Ohhh i hope that it will be to us too... Waiting for noa2 anytime now. Been almost 6 months of waiting. Pray for us.

Mine was pretty spot on. I think the VJ date was two days after my actual approval date but I think that's because some people didn't update immediately when they received their NOA2.

Our estimate is aug 19 - sept 26 for noa2. Will it be anytime soon? I am really scared that it might not be the case for us but trying to be optimistic. What do you think so?
