    my friend had green card and he had problem at airport and air port officials at midway airport chciago did not allow him to fly (domestic).

    Mostly people use 1. Vaild Passport ; State ID and Driving Liscence as acceptable ID at US airports. I suggest you to take both EAD and passport to airport and try your luck with EAD first and if it did not work use passport.

    I received a strange letter from USCIS

    HI ,

    i received a letter from USCIS on Jan 30, 2007.Here is content of the letter.

    Dear ***** ( petitioner)

    On 05/01/2006 you ,or the designated representative shown below,contacted us about your case. Some of the key information given to us at that time was the following:

    caller indicated they are:The petitioner

    Case type: I 130

    Filing date: 04/**/2006

    Receipt #: MSC 0*********2

    Beneficiary : ANS*****,*****,*****

    A# :not available

    type of service requested : Typographical error

    the status of this service request is:

    You notified the Service of an error on your I 130 application. Unfortunately ,we were unable to correct the error prior to the card being produced. Due to security and privacy concerns, we can only create a corrected Card upon approval of I 130. As a result you will need to file a new form I130 to replace that document also;if the error was made by you then a fee will be required . You can download this form from our website www.uscis.gov. You can also file this form electronically on our website . Please follow the instruction on the form . Please note , you will also be required to return the incorrect card to us prior to a replacement being produced and any documentation that proves who made the error.

    okay this is the letter i received from USCIS.My wife called USCIS on may 1st , 2006 because they spelled beneficiary name (ANS***) incoorrectly on I 797 receipt for I 130.On phone the agent made correction and after that we received 2 more recepts for I 485 and I 765. On those receipts every thing was okay. I am now confused why i received this letter on jan 30, 2007. I alread had my interview in July 2006 for my green card and i am waiting for FBI name check.I do not have any "Card" .

    What should i do now??Do i have to file I 130 again.

    Need help and advice.

    Quick I131 Qs?

    Hi,

    a)I filed I 485 + I 130 package and sent it to chciago Lock Box.I received I797 notices later on telling my cases are in Missouri Service Center. Is it same as National Benefit Center or different? While filling out I 131 form it asks where did you file I 485 ? So what should be my response?

    b ) I am e-filing I131 (AP form) . Can you please tell me What documnets should i sent along with the application ? Do i need to send Photographs and passport copies and purpose of travel ? and if yes where should i send?

    C) i am going to travel abroad for 90 days,is it okay to mention it on the form or just mentioing few weeks?

    I had my Green card interview in July 2006. Unfortunately there is no news of Green card. My name is for FBI name check. Now i am planning to go back to my parent country. I am based in naperville Il. Can i apply for online advance parole? Which one is better online or paper ? I would like to travel in march , when should i apply for that?

    Hi,

    I would you suggest you something different. As you have multiple entries for US entry. Make a visit to USA. At point of entry tell the officer , if he/she asks you about yor merital life , the truth that you need to meet your wife .

    There are examples that officers are sympathetic to such cases of husband and wife. Your wife is busy with job and she cannot come that is why you came here (USA ) to meet her.

    Then you can stay with your wife and file application for adjustment of status here.

    Other option is the usual as others fellows have told you.

    Note: your wife is citizen and some day you will be having green card. Filing from other country will cause you guys to live separately for couple of months or 2 years at most. so it is upto you.
