  1. I am a Dental assistant in DC, here everything is overpriced and most dentist don't even accept insurance. If I would be you go the Dental school, like Athena NY mentioned with them you may be able to get a finance plan. Also when you call ask them how much consultation is. Sometimes if they will treat you the same day they wont charge you for the examination. Do not get the tooth extracted due to the tooth bellow called (antagonist) will move toward the empty space and you will get possibly an abscessed tooth there. you can also ask if they can treat it temporarily until you will have insurance. I would do Root Canal treatment.

  2. Hi all, I guess I will be #4  We have a Appointment in Frankfurt on Monday to file in person (Frankfurt) I'm doing DCF I-130 and hope it wont take tooooooo long with the new Law.

I used to live in the US and was a Greencard holder but surrendered Residency in Nov. 2005 to move back to Germany. (BIG MISTAKE) well now I have to do it all over again. I am a german citizen and my husband is american. We have a Co-Sponsor since my husband is also in Germany with us.

    Hi there

Quick question I currently live in the US and have my 10 year Greencard but I am planing on moving back to Switzerland in August. Is there anyway to keep the GC or to apply for citizenship earlier?

How long has the process for the second GC taken?

  3. I just received the 10 year GC and I wanted to know what the difference is compared to the conditional GC.

How is that with the N-400 do i need to have the GC for 2 years first or is it enough to be married for 2 years?

I am planing on moving to Switzerland but Hubby and me are planing on visiting the US twice a year.

  4. I guess I was just accepted

I got this email today from CRIS

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On November 20, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I am so excited one day after the Interview this is great.

Thank you all for the support

  5. Hi everybody

I just got back from the Interview everything went well. We unfortunately forgot (did not know) to bring a bank statement that proves our shared live. good thing we just opened in January shared account. so I went to the bank and got everything printed and drooped it of at immigration. She said our case looks good and she will send us the decision with mail.

I am so glad to have that all done.

now i will wait till I have it and use it for 8 month till I will go back home.

I still need to find out what I can do to not loose my GC due to moving back home.

Thank you all for the support I will let you know as soon I get mail.

  6. hi there, if you filed for the I485 you are able to apply for the EAD (work permit) it takes about 3 month to get it. you can also apply for a AP (advance Parole) form so you can leave the US while waiting for the Green card. usually if you file for I485 you send everything together out.

Hi there! Thanks a lot! But you see I want to go home after i get the Green Card and not during the processing of the Green Card, so do i still need to apply for an AP?

After the Green card you can go home you are not allowed to stay longer then 1 year out of Country. but for vacation you are fine.

As soon you will receive the green card they will explain everything to you what you can or can not do..
