Hi everybody

Mi I 485 case has been pending since January 2006. now my hubby (U.S Citizen) is getting transferred to the UK in 6 month. What should I do?

Should I just leave the country and when I get back reapply for everything again?

Should I schedule a Infopass as soon we have all the details about the transfer from his company and see if they can speed up my case?

Looking for answers somebody in the same situation?

Got married November 23. 2005 (Thanksgiving) than May 28. 2006 (Memorial weekend) and last July 15th 2006

thank you very much, i will schedule a infopass asap, even though my hubby think this is all BS can I go by myself or does my Hubby have to join because of the pending I130?

if you have pending cases you send them to the office where they are pending.

sorry to keep buggin you, they did the same with my passport (just checked it I traveld in august 06 and have stamp paroled till aug 07 and than another stamp from January 07 paroled till 08 but my AP form expired on April 24. 07 does that mean i can still travel with that stamp in my passport till january 08 even though the AP form expired.

I would not had to apply for a new AP?

They did not take it away, but when i traveled the second time they asked me for the empty one, cause the one was stamped already. So they made me thnk i have to have a empty one every time.

so from now on i can just travel with the same paper and they stamp it multiple times till it expires?

Hi I reapplied for the AP. Last time I got 2 forms and I just traveled 2 times. Now I applied for a new one but this year I have to travel 6 times due to work and vacation. Can i use one form for several journeys or do i need for each trip a new form.

since they don't really know how many times i will be traveling how do i get more forms?

I don't know anymore what to do. I have filed my I485 in January 2006

I went through a lot we had to reschedule interview in July 2006 because of my wedding in Switzerland.

Since then I have not heard from them and every time I call customer Service they tell me they will do something.

I have been calling them every 60 days to get something done.

I have extended my I765 and received that i am now filing for the second I131 and that is in process but I have not received anything about the I130 nor the I485.

Is it even worth it to keep calling them.

1 1/2 years is a awful long time especially since I see everybody getting there GC after 3month or so.

Any advice?

The light at the end of the tunnel is sooo close that I can almost touch it. Alas, it looks like the Immigration gods are testing our will and paitents. My wife has been given an interview date for 4th of May, unfortunately she has a final exams in the first two weeks of May and there is no way she can postpone those either. So we'll have to try and reschedule the interview for later in May or it could get pushed out to June.

Anyone else been in a similar situation regardless of embassy? I'd like to know how flexiable the counsulates are at rescheduling interviews or whether they'll see this as a "red flag" of some sort.

I had my Interview last year but we already planed a wedding in switzerland and payed for everything, so we went to reschedule but unfortunately they will cancel the interview and than send you a new date, for me it has been 9 month and yet I have not a new interview date!! try to go to your interview!!!

dr_iha is probably right....and keep in mind, there really is no defined timeframe with USCIS. Things could change at any time!

Sometimes they just take forever, depending on where you filed etc.

I am waiting since January 06 and haven't seen a thing last time touched was in Oct 06 and the hotline tells me exactly what I can read online.

when I refiled for it, it was exactly 105 days before expiration, They say on the form instruction it has to be 100 days prior.

I can not believe It has been now 1 year since I have filed all my documents and I have not been denied nor accepted.

My EAD is expiring in April and I do not want to loose my job I get good payed and I love it there.

I filed a new EAD 4 weeks ago and they havn't even cashed the check yet.

Therefor I called the Hotline today and all they can do is to let MSC know that I called.

Does anybody know what else I could do.

I rescheduled mine in June and I still have not gotten a respond or new interview appointment.

How long can take such a thing?

Unfortunately me and my Hubby are in switzerland at that time and we started the rescheduling. We just hope.

But we figured that it is still cheaper to reschdule than having two tickets from switzerland to DC.

I hope that my wont be denied.

I got my EAD a while ago and went right to the social security office they told me it will take 3 month until I get my new card with my new name and work status (had a non work SSN before)

Can I already work or do I have to wait until I get the SSN card?

Somebody please help??

Finally after a long way in the dark we got the letter for the interview, but unfortunately we will be in Switzerland and have another wedding and moving all my belongings.

So I sent a letter to the Fairfax office to reschedule.

has anybody experience with rescheduling. How long does a confirmation take?

I am so excited but on the other hand p*** because i am not here and I can't afford to come back for couple days and head back to Switzerland again.

I am here in Los Angeles and watching on tv the "Day without an immigrant" protests in downtown. It really infuriates me to see these disrespectful Mexican Illegal aliens waving the Mexican flag, and waving our flag upside down. These idiots rally know how to offend Amercans, our culture and our tradtions. It's a pity our gov't is too chickenshit to do anything about it.

A Mexican recording label just released a Spanish version of our National Anthem. Turned it into some Tijano pop version. This is our "American" National Anthem and needs to be sung in our Language!!!!

What a way to show the desire to integrate, eh?

I need to agree.

I could come up with a swiss german version of the anthem and so could everybody else with their native language who lives in america. This is stupid.

I don't immigrate in this country to live like I would in switzerland and it is not possible. I came over here because of a different culture and know I am in love and will not leve for a whle.

sure I practice my traditions like cooking and so on from switzerland. But I don't expect anybody to speek fluent german just because I decided to move here.

I learnd freeking language and I will keep learning and improving.

If they wan't to be accepted they should wave the american flag and not the mexican.

Today I received my EAD Yeah...

I didn't even know that I was approved. They did not update the case status so I was very suprised, very positive suprised.

I am so happy

Know I will go to ssn office on friday and than 2 more weeks and I can finally work.

This will be exactly on my second wedding and than afterwards I will go and make some money to pay off our dept.

know I just have to wait for 130 and I can relaxe for another year.

Most off the stress is finally over.

i was able to get a info pass within 3 weeks in Fairfax, I think that's what they consider as DC office.

We filed everything January 17 and I just received EAD and AP.

Sometimes it is worth it to wait an additional 30 days after the 90.

You'll see.

Otherwise you will get a appointment very quick. Some people also walk in and ask very nicely for an info pass right there.

I am a giver and a big taker as well!!!
