  1. She will not need a PC from UAE. UAE requires the applicant to be in country to receive the PC and USEM is aware of this. If asked for at the interview tell the CO that she was in UAE and it is her understanding that UAE requires you to be in country to get a PC. They will know this information. Another person just the other day stated that she went through her interview and the CO understood that UAE requirements and she past her interview without a hitch.

Your answer is here and is too long to post here. Explore the different tabs at my website as I have covered just about everything you will need.

Thanks so much for providing the information. That is great news!!!! :joy::joy::joy:

  2. Today my fiancee has scheduled the interview on September 22. We have two questions regarding to NBI police certificate.

    1. Does the package three has instructions or a blank form for applying police certificate? Should my fiancee wait for the package before going to police station?

    2. My fiancee currently lives in Manila and her home town is in a province located in Luzon as well, Which police station should she go to get the police certificate? In Manila or in province?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. To Philippines petitioners,

I just realized the beneficiary will need to have both priority date and case number to book an interview date at Manila location.

The confusion was I thought K-1 petition does not have a priority date and actually it is NOA1 date. My poor fiancee was keep typing MNL case number, because the priority date was left blank as I told her to do so, the form did not pass the edit check and the error message could be misleading and make one's to think something wrong with the case number.

In addition, Manila Embassy placed K-1 visa under Immigration visa category somehow. You will not be able to find it in Non-Immigration Visa category.

    Hope this help!

  4. NOA2 has an effective date of July 29, and I started calling the Visa Center yesterday. Because they get overwhelmed with waiting people, and once the queue is filled they just disconnect, your best bet is to call and call and call till you get in the queue. Once in the queue, I waited over 30 minutes to get a person on the line, only to be told the following:

    1) My case number has not arrived yet.

    2) It can take 35 days from the approval day to the time the application arrives at the National Visa Center

    3) It can take over 40 days for them to enter the data.

    4) You'll be not be notified when the case is arrives but only when it is completely entered in to the system.

Given that info I'm not quite sure what's being displayed on the VisaJourney Processing times, as they currently show that NVC is processing documents based on a date of July 30th. But my docs aren't even there yet. So frustrating.

    Tony

Just ignore whatever the agent say about your case. I was told exactly the same thing when I called last week or a week before last week. I waited few days and called again yesterday. Not only I have the case number, the case already left NVC a day before I called. Good luck!

  5. I got my case number and invoice number today as well!! :joy::joy:

I downloaded a cellphone app called "Auto Redial". When I heard the recording message, I just hang up and "Auto Redial" will automatically redial then I turned on the speaker on my cellphone (you can use a headphone if you need privacy). I have done the same process for last two weeks and the wait was not as bad as I thought because once I am get in the waiting queue (press option 1, 1, 1, and 1) , it will be answered in 20 - 30 minutes when I called at 7 AM EST.

  6. We also met on Filippino Cupid dating website and I found this tread after I filed the petition last month and had been worried about getting a RFE since. I researched the issue and saved useful links in my browser including a sample letter. Those actions calmed me down and at the end I did not have to use it. The petition was approved few day ago without RFE. So do not be stressed out by the possible RFE and gather information or materials just in case you receive one. Good luck!

  7. I also received NOA2 in one months on July 21. July 21 is a special date for me because it is my birthday! Best birthday gift I have ever received!

My file date is June 18th. I was thinking it would be nice if the petition can be approved by my birthday. However, the day went by without any text messages and I was a bit disappointed, however, it is totally understandable. It was just a childish wishful thinking, right?. I woke up that night at 4 am and saw the text message from USCIS. I am so lucky, am I? My Believe it or not theory is whoever was processing my application saw my birthday is 7/21 and just expedited the process and went ahead approved it . I am a nationalized citizen and I can say US is the greatest country in the world!
