Received the email from NVC today (3/1) saying the case is completed.
Our NVC scan date is 12/8/2016.
Waited six week and called NVC on 1/20 and was told the case will be reviewed by supervisor.
Waited another six weeks and received the email.
So the estimate of 10 -12 weeks process time at NVC is quiet accurate for our case. Thanks.

Our scan date is 12/8 and it is in 9th weeks now. I called NVC at the end of 6th weeks and was told the case will be moved to supervisor review and the review period is another six weeks ( I did not request the case to be moved). Where did you find "Currently NVC is judging the cases in 10 weeks" ? I do see a I-130 case completed in 11 weeks last week.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advise. She is fully understand the ramifications of the action.
I am quiet sure she does not want to go home and stay there for one year because she was so worried about that and kept asking me to promise her that I will apply CR-1 petition. I understand if her dad's condition is not live threatening, we will waste one year of time and resources. However, her dad who is a farmer maybe expect kids at his bad side when he is sick regardless. She is eldest sibling in the family and feels very strongly about taking care of her family.
She is already aboard a flight heading back to Manila today.

I see. My wife just checked with her sister again and her sister did say she will need to come back tomorrow. So we will have to bite the bullet and start all over again (applying for CR-1) and now I just hope she will have a safe and uneventful trip home.
Thank you.

File for Emergency AP Documents at your local office.
Emergency Advance Parole Documents
If you are experiencing an extremely urgent situation, you may visit your local office to request an emergency advance parole document. When visiting a local office to request emergency advance parole, you should bring the following items:
- A completed and signed Form I-131, Application for Travel Document
- The correct I-131 filing fee
- Evidence to support the emergency request (e.g. medical documentation, death certificate)
- Two passport-style photos.
How to File
To apply for an emergency travel document, you must file Form I-131, Application for a Travel Document, complete with supporting documentation, photos and applicable fees. See the application for specific filing instructions.
Where to File
Where to file the Form I-131 depends on the benefit sought. See the form instruction pagefor details. Your local office may accept an emergency advance parole application if you are experiencing an extremely urgent situation. Business trips, weddings, holiday parties, and other planned events would usually not be considered an emergency situation. If you are filing Form I-131 for an emergency travel document at your local office based on an extremely urgent situation, you are encouraged to make an Infopass appointmentfirst. "Make an Appointment (Infopass)."
When to File
You must apply for the travel document before leaving the United States. Generally, an applicant for a travel document must also complete biometrics capture at an Application Support Center (ASC) prior to departure from the United States. Failure to do so may cause the applicant to lose permission to reenter the country and lead to the denial of any other applications pending.
Thanks you all for such quick responses.
Apparently, I was far too optimistic on the issue and did not realize the consequences of the action for my wife to leave US without applying an emergency AP. I should have gone to the local office and submitted the application this afternoon.
My wife is suspect her family members have been down playing her dad's conditions and I asked her to find out more details and see if she can postpone the trip at least till next Tuesday so I can file AP on Monday.
Thanks you all again!!! You guys are awesome!!

My wife came to US with K-1 visa arrived on 10/16 and we got married a month later on 11/23. Her father has a serious stroke this morning and is admitted to hospital. Her family members did not say much about her dad's conditions and asked her to return to Philippines ASAP. She is under tremendous stress and will go back to Philippines tomorrow.
I have not file I-485 for AOS and as you know her K-1 visa is for single entry only. I asked her to take our marriage certificate with her and call US embassy next week. I am not sure what else can I do before she is leaving at 12 noon tomorrow. Should I or can I file I-485 after she left the country?
Please advice and thanks in advance!

For me it took exactly 1 week to get my visa after my interview.
Your country is a bit bigger so I suppose 2 weeks max, don`t book your ticket before you have your visa in hand though, just in case it gets lost or something.
Thanksgiving is 25th of November so you`ll definitely be able to spend thanksgiving with your partner
Congrats on passing the interview!
I myself am leaving here on October 25th, right in time for halloween and pumpkin carving

Wow just 1 week? That's fast! Congrats to you! You will be with your love soon
My fiancée interviewed at Manila Embassy on 9/22 and Visa status updated to "Issued" on 10/1. Not bad at all.

Incorrect
I would say they are almost over qualified.
Most couple in Philippines only meet one time and then file the petition and are quickly approved. The age gap is normal in Philippines.......
Agreed.
My fiancée is 30 years younger, we have been dating for 7 months as well, and only met once, she had a very quick and easy interview last week at Manila Embassy and got approved without any issues. I did provide lots of materials and we went to see my mom and relatives who live in Thailand now. Good luck!!!

This is good news, it means that you went from immigrant to non-immigrant if you have a new case creation date. If you look up at the top of the box, it should now say non-immigrant. Check back each day and you should see either another round of administrative processing or issued! You are in the home stretch
Great! Thanks a lot!!!

My fiancée passed interview at Manila Embassy last Tuesday (9/22). I have been checking the visa status daily at WWW.CEAC.GOV. The case updated on 9/23 and 9/24, nothing happened on Friday (9/25) and I checked today the case creation date became 9-28-2015 and the status is still showing "Ready". However, the description changed to "Your case is open. Please check your status two business days via the CEAC launch page to http://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/."
Is this good news or is very bad news?
:huh2:

CFO is very particular about their required docu
ments. At times more so then USEM.
The only document that I am aware of that they will except, that proves singleness, is your IRS 1040. As I see it, you either get on line today and request your most recent transcript from the IRS or take you laptop to a computer repair facility and ask them to get that document off the hard drive (that is if the HD can still be accessed) onto a thumb drive and you print it out and email it as a pdf for her to print off.
Took your advise and went to Best Buy with my broken old laptop. Geek SWAT removed the hard drive and installed it to USB laptop disk drive enclosure, basically a case holding the drive which costs me $29.99 without additional charges, and I went home plugged into my new laptop, retrieved and sent the 1040 form out.
Problem solved!!! Life is good to me!
Thanks Greenbaum!

Hi, this question is specific to Philippines K-1 application. I am not sure how to create new question in that area.
The question is do I, I am the petitioner, need to prepare proof of singleness for my fiancee's CFO seminar? The following URL suggests I can use 1040 form instead.
http://www.mrspresson.com/immigration/k1-fiancee-visa-process/cfo-seminar-philippines/
However, my 2014 1040 form is stored on my old and already broken laptop. Request a transcript of the form from IRS takes up to two weeks.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thank you greenbaum! Actually I have tried that link and it only directs me in to printing my personal copy. I have no idea where to get the other copy. When I filled in my Ds-160 , I was not able to print the confirmation because it skipped the page :-/
When I called NVC and received my case number in August. When I was about to hang up, the person said "Wait a minute. I need to give you the invoice number.". I was not expecting to get that. So guess you can call NVC back and ask for the invoice number if you really need it.

Hi,
We have scheduled the interview on September 22. My fiancee does not have any vaccination records. She went to Dubai to work November 2011 and stayed there for seven months. She had two additional shots when she arrived Dubai.
The agency handled her medical is gone for good. Is this a critical issue? Is it possible the doctor at the hospital will subtract whatever shots she got when she went to Dubai to work?
Any suggestions will be great appreciated! Thanks in advance.
As a follow up on my original posting. My fiancee does not have any vaccination record. She went to the hospital at 4 am on the past Thursday and went back to the hospital on Friday again to get four vaccination shots. She was told to arrive at the hospital at 8 am on Friday. So anything went well and she passed the checkup. Thanks everyone!!

Slightly frustrated at this point. Technically it's 29 business days since our NOA2, by a strict day count it's 36 days. Last night I spent 3 hours on the phone waiting for a person to answer only to have it reach midnight and at 12:10 I hung up. I'm very happy for the folks who are having their interviews now, but it's exceptionally frustrating to be caught with no visibility into what's going on.
Tony
In case you are still waiting for your case number from NVC, you can try to call NVC at 6:55 am Eastern time, 5:55 am Bogota time if calling from Columbia and based on my own experiences, the average wait time is between 20 to 40 minutes only.

Does anyone here have an Interview on Sept 22 @ USEM?? Thanks:)
My fiancée has K-1 visa interview scheduled at 7:30 AM 9/22. She currently lives in Manila. Her email address is dreamegan888@yahoo.com. Good luck!!
-
I'd suggest getting a blood serology done to detect immunity to her required vaccinations.
That can then be presented for the medical.
Thank you so much for your suggestion. The interview is on 9/22 an my fiancée may go get the medical next week and see what doctor says about it.

Read through the St Lukes process. They require proof of vaccines and cannot just rely on self justifications. Vaccines are included, under Medical Exam fees.
- The Medical Examination fee is inclusive of vaccines.
Got it! Thanks you so much for the info.

Okay, so I'm a bit confused!
I am trying to fill out the ds-160 and it's asking for the priority date. I looked at the NOA2 as that's where it's supposed to be but it's blank... What date should I put in then?
Use NOA1 date instead.

For those who are applying for a visa from the Philippines, I'd like to extend a little help to you. Once you get your text message that your case has been approved it's time to Rock and Roll. Be active in getting your MNL# and don't wait for the hard copy of the NOA2 as it can take 30 days or more to arrive. So you wasted a month. I have a website, free to use, that walks you through every step of the process for USEM Philippines. It's easy to navigate. Start with the tab you are on in your process and each step is listed for that process.
For those who are waiting for NOA-2 you need to register myUSCIS to follow all your cases, communicating to NVC or USCIS and changing your address.
NOA2 or packet 3 may never arrive for USEM so don't wait, be proactive.
Thanks Greenbaum. That is the best website for Philippines petitions I have ever seen so far!!! I already got an interview date by following the step by step instructions.
One quick question - How about packet 4? What is in packet 4? Should we also disregard it?
-
my fiance's interview is this coming aug 28..so nervous.i hope everything will be ok?..
That is light speed fast!!! The following website has detailed information regarding the medical exam and interview. Good luck!!

Thank you. No we never called NVC we just waited for the letter. Where does your fiancee lives? Maybe she should tell her housemates that she's waiting for an important letter so they can keep a lookout for the postman or the courier. Don't worry i know sometimes we hear these stories and makes us paranoid but i think NVC checks if the letters they sent were actually sent to the petitioner and beneficiary. I hope we can get a schedule this September. Thanks again and God bless us all
She lives in Sampaloc area in Manila with her grand mom and cousins.
What is in the packet 3? Is it the instructions as I found in the following URL link?
The main page of the link is as follows
-
We just got our packet 3 today. Finally we have our MNL case number. Praise God :-) We just decided not to call NVC and wait for it and we got it today after 30 days of being approved. NOA2 is July 22
Congrats!
Does that mean you did not call NVC asking for your case number last few weeks?
Now I am concerned about where about of packet 3. My fiancee she said letters sometimes gone missing because kids are playing outside the gate ( in Manila) and they could snatch letters and my fiancee went back to her parents place for few days this week, she may have just missed the letter. ( NOA2 date is 7/21 and Embassy receive date is 8/19).
Does the packet 3 require signature upon delivery?
BTW, you may want to get the interview as soon as possible. Yesterday I saw the earliest available date for September is 9/22.
CEAC states "Ready" with 2 updates to date, what does this mean and how long?
