I just did a search and it's starting to look good for Nov 7th NOA1's. Hopefully tonight we'll be high-fiving. Fingers crossed.

I went to see my fiance in December, and Customs in Toronto didn't ask a single question about my application, nor was their "interrogation" any different from past visits. I think every officer is different, and I think based on the consistent travel we've made, there is an eventual return date. It's always good to be overprepared, in case something does happen.

    Hi everyone

I've been following very closely and quietly for the last couple months. I am so grateful to have such an amazingly positive and supportive group of people to go on this stressful and confusing journey with.

Today Thomas and I got approved! We received or NOA1 on Nov 3rd, and today, the 25th of Jan we finally have our NOA2.

Sending so many positive thoughts to everyone still waiting for their good news. And many thanks for the support and advice given so far!

That's essentially what my fiance and I submitted. We wrote a letter, stating how we met and a timeline of all the traveling we've done in the last 2 years, and digital copies of 5 pictures, with a date stamp to coincide with the letter/timeline provided. We also made sure to include photos with pretty unavoidable landmarks in each respective city we've visited (i.e. Niagara Falls, Disneyland, CN Tower, etc.). It would be hard to "debunk" those photos. We figured we would have heard something in terms of an RFE by now, but nothing. At this point (after all this waiting), it would be pretty upsetting to receive an RFE vs. an NOA2. But if it happens that way, that's ok. We are OVER prepared!!!

Thank you I have updated my info

Its now been three months since we got the confirmation letter and my partner is coming here in 3 weeks to visit so we are hoping to hear something before he arrives. Im a little concerned though as we didnt come across this website until after the application was sent and I am worried we didnt provide them with enough proof of the relationship. We only included a statement on how we met and plane tickets for him and myself to prove we have visited each other. I guess the only thing that will happen is they will come back and ask for more information however this will delay the process even more

We didn't even submit pictures (largely because we don't really have all that many; we just forget to take them...). But I also made a list with all the meetings we've had (time period and place / country  / region) in the last 12.5 years, I included the digital copy of my I94 (current passport), boarding passes for the both of us for a flight within the U.S., and train tickets from Germany... If we get an RFE, I guess, it would be because there is one box on the i-129F that we forgot (and that's really upsetting because I went over the whole thing about 20 times before submitting).

I wonder if today there will be little movement in case approvals/RFEs due to the events occurring in Washington?

    I REALLY hope not.

I have just done a bit of googling and it looks as though only government departments in DC get today as a holiday.  Although California notes it as a legal holiday - their office for EDD (employment?) states that is open as usual - so fingers crossed!  With the backlog of cases they currently have, I would imagine that they'd have to be putting staff on overtime in order to not run the risk of hitting their five month limit within the next two or three months.  I guess we'll know in a few hours when the first cases are logged (or not)

Aproooooooooooooved.....   finally my Fiance's 129f has been approved today January 19th.
I sent the RFE last week, they received it on January 12th and approved it today. What a Rollercoaster but finally it has been approved. Now the NVC wait.

I understand the frustrations, but things are moving along again. I could be wrong, but I don't think most Nov. filers will be waiting past Feb. Some likely will be, but I think most will be completed by then.

Okay, USCIS performance sucks. How does it suck? What should they be doing to go faster? Keep in mind K-1 NOA1 -> NOA2 used to take an average of ~120 days (4 months). We're pretty fortunate to have had sub-60 day processing times for almost the entire year. But it is what is. I don't think performance is as much of an issue (besides the holiday season, which we expected little to get done) as it about workload. The number of incoming petitions jumped in late October/early November, then spiked again before the new fees kicked in. I don't blame USCIS...I don't know how they could just handle that kind of increase. Hiring sprees still have that lead up time. Nobody I'd rather wait another month than get somebody who doesn't know what they're doing working on cases.

tldr; Have hope, and have faith that they're going as fast as they reasonably can.

This definitely helps understand what a day looks like for the Adjudicator, and why our status/case can be in limbo for so long. I can't imagine the volume of cases received by CSC vs NSC, and how much information they must file through.

I went a little stir crazy just reading that (I'm of the Twitter generation, clearly ).

LDRs are not easy to deal with. Since my fiance and I have been together, we've been lucky to be able to visit each other almost every 2.5 months. I have been fortunate to be able to spend more time out in the States, than him being able to come visit me in Canada (i.e. vacation time, custody/financial issues with his son's Mom), but everytime we part ways after a visit, my fiance gets into a spurt of desperation. Looking for ways to get me to move out there sooner than later. We're all feeling the desperation, and the wait times for the next notice of action (#2!!!) is not helping. We just want the first obstacle to be over with in order to be with our loved ones.
