55 days sounds ridiculous.
On the processing times page, it says 'If your receipt date is before the “Receipt date for a case inquiry", you can submit an “outside normal processing time” service request online.' It doesn't mention anything about RFE so I'd submit a service request once it hits your eligible to inquire about your case. Right now, it shows June 19th, 2018 so I believe you can submit one next week since your receipt date (NOA1) is June 26th, 2018. Hope you will get your approval before that though.
Thank you! That’s good to know!
I will definitely submit a request if I don’t hear back soon.

Wow that's a long time of waiting after the RFE . I sent my response for RFE last week. What was the RFE about?
Have the status been updated to them receiving the documents?
Yes. That update was 55 days ago.
I just had to mail fingerprint cards. That’s it.
I’ll give them another week I guess. It’s ridiculous.

You can find out the date on the processing times info page; https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
You can also submit a service request/inquiry there but still hoping you will hear a good news before having to do so.
Do you know after how many days you can submit a service request?
I’ve been waiting for an answer to my RFE for 55 days now lol

That's taking so long, ours was approved after 9 days. Is your case still within processing times?
I have no idea what the processing time is right now. My NOA was June 26 2018.
I only had to mail new fingerprint cards for my RFE since we’re stationed overseas. No clue why it takes so long for them to check those. I am a little confused now because yours was approved so fast after they received it.

Potomac received my RFE back on July 24, and I’m still waiting.... 44 days and counting. Seems a little ridiculous.
-
Had my RFE letter in the mail.
I just need to send a new set of fingerprint cards (since we‘re stationed overseas there’s no biometrics here...).
Easy! I’ll do that tomorrow and mail them back to Potomac the same day.

Good morning from Germany and Happy 4th of July!
I woke up to a RFE this morning!
I already have an idea what it could be and I’m hoping to have the letter in the mail by the end of next week (everything takes a little longer to get to the military post office...).
After all this is good news because it means someone finally worked on my case 😂

Hey!
I’ve just found out that my case has been transferred as well!
On May 7th from Vermont to Potomac.
Hope that means things are moving way faster than expected now!

Hey!
Could someone please update my information for me?
Date received would be 6/26, NOA date is the same, there’s no check cashed date since I mailed a money order and I won’t have a biometrics appointment cause we’re stationed overseas and I mailed passport photos and finger print cards with the package.
Thank you!!

VSC finally received my packet today, it took 6 days from overseas, ugh.
We’re flying to a family wedding on July 6th and I highly doubt I’ll have my extension letter by then. At least my GC is still valid until July 28th.
We fly back on the 13th.
Hope it’ll all go smooth with Customs & Boarder Patrol!
-
I re-filed today!
It’ll take about 5-7 days though until the receive it because we’re currently stationed overseas.

How did you guys got the “wrong” form from? I download mines from USCIS website. I hope it doesn’t get returned lol
You definitely used the correct form then.
I think I downloaded the form a while ago, I knew there was a new one but when I finally started filling it out I didn’t double check the expiration date. So stupid.
I re-filed today.
I trible-checked everything lol

Hi friends,
I originally submitted mine in May, but got returned to me due to wrong (expired) form
So I resent it again 6/1, delivered 6/4 to VSC.
Same here.
I even told a friend to make sure she uses the right form and I go ahead and used the expired one...
I’ll resent it tomorrow.

Hey,
First of all I blame this on my pregnancy brain!
When filing the I-751 I used the old form and of course they rejected our case.
I just got the whole package back last week and they told me to re-file.
No problem since my GC doesn’t expire until then end of July.
My only question is:
Can I re-use the old money order or not?
It’s from May 14th.
On the back it has a stamp that says “For deposit only” and the Vermont Service Center stamp.
No rejected or invalid or anything (unlike the form...)
Just not sure if I have to pay the $680 again...
Please say no!
Thanks!

I had my visa interview today and we got approved
The whole thing took about 1.5 hours and she asked me 4 questions:
How did you and Kyle meet?
Is he still in the army?
What is his job?
How did he propose?
I was super nervous but everyone was really nice and helpful in Frankfurt
-
I just made it through immigration and customs in Philadelphia...
I can't believe I was that nervous.
The officer was really nice, asked me the basic questions like why am I here, how long am I staying, blah blah and then asked whom I'm staying with so I answered "with my fiancé".
My heart stopped beating while I was waiting for his next question...
But he just asked me where he lives and what he does for a living and if he was stationed in Germany and if that's how we met!
We had a really nice small talk about Germany while he was taking the picture and fingerprints
Apparently he loves Germany and mentioned that German women are always so beautiful
I guess I was lucky I chose that line
Oh the only thing he asked me was how often I'm visiting! He didn't mention the visa, so I don't think he saw that we are in the middle of the process.

I know right? It's been a pain. But yeah, things are hopefully starting to move now!
Hey, have you completed your medical yet? You're going to FRA too right? Maybe you can give me a heads up on how the procedure looks like?!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you
Yup, I did the medical on the 9th. It was really nothing special. Got there at 07.30 and was done at 09.00. Most of time I was waiting for something to happen...
Don't worry about the medical
I'm still waiting for Frankfurt to send me package 3. It's been 6 weeks since our approval...
But I sent them an email and they told me they mailed the stuff today to my address

Holy Sh.
We got a RFE.
LOL YAY it wasn't lost! Awesome.
RUSH HOUR! It's happening!!
Oh wow, finally!!
-
Fingers crossed!
Owning a condo is good - you have proof of that?
I'm super nervous and yes I technically have it attested by a notary
-
Hey guys,
I'm gonna visit my fiancé from July 20th - August 17th. We already got our NOA2 and I already had the medical exam. I'm currently waiting for the embassy to send me Pack 3.
Since we are in no rush, we wanna do the paper work for the affidavit of support together plus we haven't seen each other since February.
Now, I already quit my job so I don't have a letter saying I'll be back at work, I don't rent an apartment cause I own a condo. So do you think it'll be okay if I only have my return flight ticket, all the paperwork for the k1 visa including NOA2 and the medical exam and maybe prove that I'm still paying for my condo?
I can't think of anything else. Help?!
I am heading out tomorrow for my second visit since NOA1. I am so excited to see my fiance again :-)
Bringing
- work letter,
- apartment letter,
- travel insurance
- flight itinerary (for going there and back)
- copy of NOA1
- and the appointment thing and deposit confirmation for my wedding dress that I get to try on again in August.
You have more than I do
I'm sure you'll be fine!

Thanks girl! i checked that and nothing comes up yet. i'll keep checking hehehe
Let me know what it says once something comes up
