How soon your GC will expire? Do not travel with an expired GC or without the I-551 stamped on your passport if you want to be allowed to re-enter US.

If your green card will expire while you are gone you can either, get an I-551 stamp when you send off for renewal, OR not travel until you are a USC.

As long as your GC is valid you will have no issues coming back. Short travel won’t impactyour citizenship processing.
