My wife applied for her SSN before we were married. She checked the legal alien allowed to Work. She received her SSN card 2 weeks later. The card said she is not allowed to work without authorization. The SSN web site can be confusing but USCIS says you cannot work until you receive you EAD. We recently filed for AOS and are waiting for her EAD & AP.

If you update your timeline with the date you sent the I-485, I-131, and I-765 you will get an estimate of when they will process your forms.

We just filed AOS with EAD & AP. We received 3 I-797c's about 10 days after the USPS tracking shows they were delivered. We then received a separate notice with the biometrics appointment date, time & location.

My fiancee just completed her interview at USEM. She had the original I-134, copy of my 2014 1040 tax form and copy of my W2, At the interview they reviewed those documents and returned them to her. If your income meets the limits you do not need to show or prove assets.

The time it takes to move from USCIS to NVC varies for each case. I saw some cases received at NVC in 2 weeks time. For us, it was 36 days for NVC to receive our case. They received it Aug 5, we had a case number Aug 6, and it was sent to Manila Aug 7. Hang in there, you are very close. You don't have to wait 2 weeks to call back. I called every day.

Our case status on the ceac website changed to In Transit Friday afternoon. My fiance is paying the visa fee today. We are looking to schedule the interview for the first week of September. Is that enough time for the petition to arrive in Manila?
