Long story short, we submitted AOS at the end of January and received the NOA1's dated at the end of January. After 2 weeks we still didn't receive a Biometrics appointment letter.
I started having this uneasy feeling so I called the USCIS a couple of times and the Tier1 reps told me that the appointment still wasn't setup in the system yet and to call back after a month. This happened 3 times.
I called a couple of days ago, and I asked again to speak to a Tier 2 rep and they transferred me.
The Tier2 rep told me that my wife had missed the appointment!
I was beyond anger and shock. We never received any appointment letter in the mail. Plus the Tier 1 reps kept on telling us that our Biometrics wasn't setup yet.
Tier 2 told me we would be receiving mail in a couple of weeks regarding this incident. Not even an appointment day. Just a follow up to this incident.
They told me in the meantime, to try and do a walk-in. They told me they would fax me the Biometrics letter. Didn't receive it that night.
Tried doing a walk-in today and got rejected because we didn't have the letter.
I again called and spoke to Tier 2 who just said that they would fax it again to me today. Never got it again.
The Tier 2 reps said all they can do is send the request to the team that faxes it. It still hasn't happened.
I can't get a fax. Infopass has no openings for at least another 3 weeks.
I don't know what to do at this point. I feel completely helpless.
so sorry to hear that. I feel your frustration, can you try to contact your congressman or senator's office at this point? Patience is not a quality of mine so I would definitely try that, they might be able to get an answer faster.
Good luck,keep us posted

Can I (USC) call them about the fingerprint letter? would they talk to me? or my husband would have to call?? We are moving so I wanted to get the letter before we do that

Finally got NO1 letters in the mail yesterday Now we are waiting for Biometrics.
Now, is it possible to expedite the Employment Authorization, If we need my husband to start working ASAP ?
-
Yes, it needs to be included in the AOS packet.
-
NOA received 2/5
starting slowly to worry now, still no hard copy of NO1 not sure how much longer
looks like 8 months at TCS didn't teach me any patience
-
I received all 3 hard copies today, faster than I expected! Next up: biometrics!
looks like we have the same dates, I hope I receive our NO1 letters soon as well
-
I intend to start applying as soon as I get my NOA-1 letters (Kind of as hard evidence I have an EAD pending). That's one of the reasons I am freaking out my letters aren't here yet.
If I do find something prior to EAD approval I intend to try and expedite the EAD.
I think I will have my hubby do the same. Our only issue is where do u guys think we can look for jobs? any websites, tips?
I understand how you feel about the delay to get NO1, during the K1 process, we never received NO1 in the mail , so I called them later on and they gave me a proof of receipt, either way, it will be ok

Thank you so I checked the ceac and it says ready. It's just a little weird cause his interview was today.
And what confirmation page do I print out ?
give it a couple of days before they update it.
the page he will need is the same appointment letter. if you already have a copy he should be fine, if not, you or him will have to print another one.

don't worry u don't have to do it again, the paper is just general info Congratulations

After how long can I start checking case online. (i have tried after we got the text on Friday and today) but it's not working yet.
-
email and SMS received acknowledging of the applications acceptance last night.
so did I
-
Are you sure about that? It's on the website and it is on the lost I'd rather be safe than sorry. The list has been update every case is different
Yes I am sure. Every case is different yes but unless the person a criminal history I don't think it is needed and they tell you so on Packet 3. there is a piece of paper attached to Packet 3 when they send it in the mail (yes they will send it) that says that is is not needed for Haiti. But then again if you doubt the information, feel free to bring it as you wish It cannot hurt your case

Interestingly my applications have been delivered today. So I'm already one day ahead of my schedule Funny, never heard fedex delivers 2nd day pkg as next day.
Ours delivered yesterday as well. Look like we might have the same dates Hoping we get texts/emails soon already, lol patience is not my forte

The police certificate is not needed for Haiti so I doubt you need to do it. Me and my fiance went thru the process a couple of months ago and when they send u Packet 3 by mail (they will mail it to you and him, where ever he is in Haiti) it says the police certificate is not needed.

what do you include in the Form I-131 Supplement if you don't mind me asking??
-
Hi Everyone,
so me and my husband are filling out his AOS/EAD/AP, we expect to send it this weekend hopefully. My question: How do we fill out Part 7 of the I-131 form? to explain how we qualify for AP and which document should we attach? And for Part 4, Purpose of the trip, could we put anything, such as for pleasure? We don't have solid dates to travel, we fill for AP just in case he would need to travel in case of emergency. Any help would be greatly appreciated

thank you for your response

Hello,
I plan to change my name after getting married to my fiance, we will file for AOS soon after, I was wondering would that be a problem for all our documents? What do I provide to prove change of name and avoid RFE? Which name should we put in the application, my maiden name still (since that is the name that is on the visa) or my new married name? I know I have to change my DL, passport, social, what about my certificate of Naturalization, should that be changed as well??
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you

I am glad to hear that. If it's in Haiti, he needs to go with a copy of his appointment letter and they will give it to him. Best of luck for the rest of the process
