  2. First, I would like to extend sincere congratulation to whom got approved. For those who have not, I wish you all the best as well. I'm CSC and you how it works :ranting: I got my I-551 stamp 3 weeks ago because my mortgage underwriter required it to approve my loan (of course they don't like the extension letter.....). The lady who gave me a stamp said: "I could not give me a stamp more than 30 days before the expiration date on the Green card itself. HOWEVER, since you have a letter from the lender requires it, I can give you an exception." She took away my GC and then stamped I-551 with a 1 year extension from that date with the note "I-751 pending, expired card take CR6." Since there is no hope that CSC will touch our I-751 soon so I applied N400 online last Saturday and received an automatic response on Sunday that they accepted my application and it would take 8 months before they work on my N-400. I'm glad that I am a part of Feb 2017 family. Thank you so much for all your help and kindness. Hope to see some of you again in N400 Feb filler thread.

  3. Can't believe browsing on my phone and a text came in from USCIS about case update l, I hurry to check what it was and I found this on May 19, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC159xxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. I have been approve for a 10 years green card and I am so greatful to God made it possible for me even when I doubted that it will be possible because of my domestic battery charge which was dismissed because I was innocent. God always has a way he does things and he always do it at his own time and he has done this great thing for me and am so greatful. It took a month and 4days since my interview to approval. Hope everybody who are still waiting gets approve soon. Thanks

Congratulation! Glad you did it. Enjoy the card and good luck to you!

  4. I think you should make an infopass and ask then what happend to your case. I believe that your I-485 has been stuck in background check! So make sure if you make an infopass, ask them about that. Besides that, you can try to contact to your local Congressman/woman office and seeking for help. If it's available, could you mind telling us a little bit about your interview experience so we can take a guess from that.

  5. Hi all,

I am really appreciated for your helping and useful information. Today, I received texts and emails from USCIS that my I-130 and I-485 have been approved. About 1 hours later, they sent me another text/email noticed that Card/Document Production. It is exactly 2 weeks as the interviewer/officer said. My husband and I are extremely happy and relieve after this really long waiting game. Good luck to all of you!!!! Best wishes for you! I hope we can see each other after two years from now on. During this time, I will try my best to help you through my experience. Please don't hesitate to send me an email :)

  6. I filed my package in December, 2 months after you...so far I havent heard anything on the interview..my I-485 status still shows " Your RFE is received, should hear something by March 29..." based on your timeline, guess i may be scheduled for interview in June--questions for you if you dont mind:

---you received interview letter 2 months before the actual interview date? only by mail or by texts also? does it say directly the interview date?

--- I see you are not approved on the spot...did you hear anything now? how was the interview? is it very intense?

    thanks!!!

Have you tried to call to the USCIS to asked about updated after your RFE was received? I called and make a service request and they response within a week with the interview schedule. I receive an update from site and text shows that I have an interview specific day. Up till now, I am still waiting for their responding after my interview! A little bit tired of this waiting game! Wish you luck!

  7. I will also chime in so you know you are not alone. Similar situation here. Interview also on April 16. However, we did not sign anything, and we did not get the "held for further review" paper. Not sure if that is something to worry about. We did get the conditional green card instructions though. She took my old EAD, I kept current one. She said something about 6 - 8 weeks, and that she will "recommend" us. Everything seems very vague, so it is a little frustrating to just be waiting once again. We needed to buy plane tickets and make travel arrangements now for a visit to my family in June, but it seems like we will have to kiss that visit goodbye. Good luck to you, this waiting will be over soon.

It seems we are on the same track! No clue what gonna happen next, however, you got her "recommend", mind did not have it. Wish you luck!

  8. What visa are you adjusting from?

    I'm adjusting from F-1 Visa.

Same situation here. Had interview on the 20th of this month and he ask how we met and that was it. He said he seen that we already have an approved i130 and I said yes that we had our interview for i130 last June. He asked for my passport,I'd,drivers licese and ask for my wife's too. He started typing and he left to go make copies of all my document. He said so I have been arrested and I said yes. He ask for what? I said for domestic battery. He ask if I have the final disposition of the case and I said yes and handed it over to him. Just so you know the case was dismiss because I was innocent. He then proceeded with the yes and no questions and also asked if I am working and I said yes. Then he had me and my wife sign a paper to show that we attended the interview and said if we have any document we would like to show him and I said yes and gave me our recent lease and bank statement and utility bills. I told him I forget our car insurance card in the car and he said its fine. Then he said we have submitted enough and that he can not make a decision that he needs to review my file. He gave us a paper that said case continue for further review. My lawyer ask how long and he said about 2weeks. Till today my satus still says interview scheduled and I am beginning to worry and just to let you know I have been married for almost 3 years. In July it will be 3 years and I did not apply for i485 until now. So am hopefully ing if approved I will be giving a permanent green card.

You are luckier than me that your I-130 has been approved, mine doesn't. Besides that, I think you have lawyer so he can get involve if you don't hear anything from them after 2 weeks. I don't have any lawyer or attorney so....... Deal with USCIS is dealing with "waiting game" :(

  9. Hello, I am writing to share my experiences.

My husband is the one applying for a green card.

    Interview date: 04/16/2015

    Location: St Louis, MO

We arrived there a little bit early, however, we only needed to wait for 10 mins before the interview called my last name. She's old (late 50s) and mean. She took us to her room, requested us to show my husband passport and my ID, and ask us swearing to tell the truth and only truth. Because of getting flu so she asked us to sit far close to the wall (about 3 feets from her desk). Then, she asked some kinds of basic questions:

    1. How did you meet?

    2. After the 1st meet, then what did you do next?

    3. Do you see your wife's parent often?

    4. What's your address now?

    5. How did you get marriage?

    6. Did you travel a lot?

That is all, then, she use her "stamp-box" to stamp on the yellow paper (which she used to write down everything we said) and also the I-864 form, I-485 form. Next, she explained to us about the GC condition and how important to renew it before it expires. She asked us to signed on the paper which confirmed we had heard and understand the GC condition. Then she stamped on that paper. Then, she asked my husband YES/NO question on I-485 form. After that, she asked us about the evidences. We gave her:

    1. Joint bank accounts (2 different bank)

    2. Auto insurance

    3. Air tickets, hotel reservation, movie ticket, shows ticket.

    4. Pictures. She laughed when she saw the picture that I look funny when I drew a bunny on my husband's face when he slept. She took random picture and ask us where was that. That's it. She quickly glanced to other evidences and she said everything look OK now. We asked if our case was approved. She said: "I did not say anything about the approve but you will receive my decision and the status update in two weeks." And then she escorted us to the waiting room with a big smile and call other people. The interview took only 15 mins, relaxed and painless.

Note: My husband I-94 is electronic so he just printed it out from the CPB site but she kept the copy of it. Besides that, she did not give us any letter or paper state that our case is being held and under review liked other people. We believe that the interview was really well because all the answers were cleared and she looked satisfied with our answer, she even made a joke on some of them.

My question is: what do you think about our interview? is it normal without receiving the "interview's result" paper after the interview? We are kind of worried because most of the people get approved on spot or the same day. Till now, nothing is updated from USCIS site.
