Really sorry for what happened. What I know from the other Gh denies is that they contacted their congress people and a couple were able to keep their case at the embassy. That should be the next step now. Find out more about the reasons and email your congress person with all the evidence submitted. They might grant a second interview from you get really really lucky, or in the least hold the petition in gh and not send it over to the US for another gruesome round.

Why did NVC do away with the automated recordings again? At least at USCIS, I could enter my case# and they would give me info on what they had! That would cut down on soooo many of the calls! I tried calling NVC today from 6am HST to 5:45HST (Because by 545, 11:45pm EST, they already had the lines closed) and I never got through. Ii went through my call log and counted. 60. Six. Zero. 60 times I called and couldn't even get a chance go wait to speak. Give me the discretion to wait 5 hours until someone answers, don't tell me to call back! And no matter how many times I get that message, when I DO finally get through, the wait time is NEVER longer than 45 minutes, and that was the longest I EVER waited. The shortest was less than 5 minutes. I don't get their system but's faulty and it SUCKS!

Yes, have your hubby make the drive, it will be good quality time for you and it's only a 2hr drive from Philly to NYC if you take the New Jersey Turnpike. Those are definitely better options for you.

Keep in mind tho, if you have a bunch of bags, you will have to go get your bags from baggage claim and re-check them because you're coming from overseas, and go through the whole overseas check-in line. So it really depends on how busy that international area is at the time of your flight. I have flown internationally three times and it has never taken me two hours to get through, but I've never gone through JFK, I have always gone through MIA. I would buy the ticket because I am an avid traveler. If you aren't comfortable navigating through the airport alone, I would opt for more time if I were you. (I am assuming you are traveling alone).

mmmmm If I understand correctly, you were right, that is a connecting flight even though it's a different part of the airport. That's normal. It is very rare that you will stay on the same plane for a connecting flight. You should be fine. Like I said earlier, just be ready to ask questions if you don't know how to find your way and you should be fine.

I agree with previous member. That's plenty of time to get to your next gate and relax. Just don't be afraid to ask flight attendants on your flight, what your connecting gate is and ask how to get there if you need to. Most airport staff are pretty friendly and are willing to help you find your way. Also double check with the agents at the counter once you de-board the airplane. They should have the most current information. They will, and the many TV screens that display all connecting flight info! good luck!

Yes, K3s are usually closed at NVC stage. the reason for that is that for almost everyone, the CR-1 is the superior visa, since it is cheaper, and you can work and travel as soon as you arrive in the USA, unlike the K3, which requires AOS (more paperwork, more fees, can't work).
The K3 was useful years ago, when it took the CR-1 several years to get approved, whereas the K3 only took around a year; that meant that at least, couples could be together during some of the process, even if the foreign beneficiary could not work. But a few years ago, processing times for the CR-1 shortened, and is now the same as for the K3 (though it is hard to give processing times for the K3, because so few are issued nowadays, we see 4-5 a year here).

So I also requested to expedite due to my upcoming short notice deployment. Just out of curiosity, and I know every embassy is different, how long did it take for the POE to actually occur from the time you got the acceptance for your expedite request? Im REALLY crunched for time. Thanks for your response!
