Please check my signature block below for the web link to the CFO in Cebu (the contact numbers are listed to the left hand side). You may also review Section 6.2 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide for other details.

CFO cebu is located across USC boys high, also next to 18 cherry court.
Bring proof of relationship such as photos, emails, ym, receipts.. they're gonna ask her how you met, or like when was that picture taken and stuff like that.

Hey! I just wanted to let everyone know that my case got delayed because I sent my choice of agent from hotmail. I sent it on Nov 9 and again on the 15th and NVC said they had no record of it. My husband suggested I try another email, so I opened up a gmail account and sent it again yesterday and surprise! NVC has received it! I know that it's likely that some of you used hotmail and succeeded, but I just wanted to warn other people that it might not work. It sucks that I wasted so much time because of this and I have no other explaination for it other than NVC must not allow email from some hotmail addresses.
Good luck to all of you!

CFO in manila is more strict than in Cebu. My friend, who's also a visajourney member got "denied" or something like that there because they don't accept cliche answers like "because I love him" stuff. If you're girl shows that she's confident about your relationship, then she should be fine. Somehow, they can sense when you're nervous so that's when they give you a hard time. Good luck!
I've never heard of anyone being "completely denied at CFO .
Lots have been delayed by having to get additional evidence but eventually get the sticker.
Years ago on the old Asawa site one fiancee claimed she flew to the US without having attended CFO.
Said she didn't know she had to take CFO until she signed up on Asawa!
Easy to understand as there are mostly tourist who don't need CFO stickers and very few immigrants on flights.
Well not completely, I mean denied in the sense that she had to take another CFO seminar.. but it all worked out for her in the end. We flew here together and it was a great feeling to know that we finally made it. IMHO, I dont even think that the CFO can stop you from entering the US. I know that it's in our (filipino) policy to attend it, but the US couldnt care less, all they need to see on their part is the approved visa. And yeah you're right, tourists don't need to attend CFO. Lucky them hehe!

Hi and welcome
To answer your question, it doesn't matter about what your fiance makes, you are petitioning for him so your income and support of him is what is key.
All you can do is file, provide as much proof as you can of having met in the past 2 years and be honest about any previous denials. Remember, that once he enters the states you must get married within 90 days, there are no extensions.
It's okay that you don't have a wedding date set, all that matters is that you get married within the 90 days.
Best of luck to you and your fiance!
~L
I agree. You must marry him within the 90 days or else it would be considered fraud, unless he goes back to Turkey before the 90 days is over. You know, like if things doesn't work out. You don't have to have an actual date set, my husband, (my fiance back then) we didn't have one either. When the consul asks when will we get married, I just tell them that we dont have an exact date yet but definitely within my 90 days stay in the US.
Good Luck!

Hi there,
My husband is unfortunately no help since the only way he knows are college career centers, to which I don't have access since I went to college in Europe... I tried monster, careerbuilder and some other websites, but my area is never there or only for people with 6-10 years of experience....
I'm a communications professional with 3 years experience and a MA degree living in the Bay Area... Does anybody live here too with the same profession? I'm looking since Monday and I just can't find anything!!!! I worked in event planning, PR and internal communication.... And now - nothing!!!!
I looked for temp agencies but they only do financial, legal or graphic design.
Sigh, open for suggestions!
hehe looks like we're on the same boat.. back home i was doing a lot of promotions and marketing for 3 years. www.craigslist.org is very helpful. Try Posting your resume there. I lived in San Mateo too but recently moved to redwood city. As of now I'm a Temp fulfillment Coordinator doing data entry and stuff, gets really boring cause my field is in PR. Unfortunately, since I got here I can't really relate with people so well cause they speak so slang that i'm not used to it. So I need to get use to the english here before i go back to marketing.. if i post my resume online, i do get a lot of callers but they expect so much from me because of my experience Grrrr!! Since I got here, It's like going back from scratch!

GREAT NEWS!! finally! Congrats to both of you love birds!
-
happy with my job? NO- and never have been! I hate working for other other people. And I can't stand working in an office too! So what's left for me? either endorsing/promotions and marketing.... and BUSINESS! my won business, that's more like it!
-
ok, that "check" starts from the day we arrived here in the US (and base it from our I-94 and stuff?)
-
how does this "name check" happen? Does it also apply for k1 adjusting their status? What if I have my nbi clearance back home from phils (got expired already last feb1 past 1 year) will they still check me? And lastly, how do we avoid it?
I hope somebody can clarify this to me. Thank you very much.
