As far as i remember a similar story happened to Anastasia.
She filed everything again and I think got 2 interview dates...
Don't worry, everything'll be alright, it will just cost you more money unfortunately...
-
your greencard should come earlier than that, I would say in a week at most
-
just take your marriage cert with you and you're fine
-
it took 3 1/2 months to the interview after biometrics.
You should get the interview notice 1 1/2 month after the biometrics.
They will take a picture of you there, which will be on your green card later so don't make the same
mistaka as me, mine looks bad, I didn't know...

When you buy a car, can you change the title to your name but can you leave the insurance under the previous car owner's name?
As you can guess my insurance rate would be way higher as I have never owned a car before...
Thanks!

1. no, our officer didn't want the new affidavit, only new paystubs and/or employment letter if the job changed
3. the stamp may be given to you at the end of the interview if you're approved and yes, it counts as a green card
4 we had it but we were not asked for it

Hey Anutka,
We were exactly in the same situation.
My husband moved before me.
He flew in for the interview.
We didn't change the address, etc. because we said our old address
is his and my primary residence.
Don't change the address before you receive your greencard, it's my advice
and have it come to the address they have if possible.
That's my advice.

Feel sorry for you guys but I'm sure in a couple of months after your interview and your greencard comes,
you'll just laugh at this story!
Best,
Anna

You should always carry the copy of your marriage cert if you use your passport...
-
they should surprise you with the 10 year one then!!!
-
it's just a statement, they're just telling you you may have other interviews, which they do
if they suspect something (fraud)

I am not sure if you can apply for a green card by yourself now
proving the marriage was entered in a bona fide reason...
I know you can do that after the successful interview...

married name.
If you filled out all your ins applications under the married name
the AP should be also under your married name.
Only your plane ticket should match the passport name (maiden name in your case).
That's what I have done and I had no problems.

what about joint taxes?
That's important...

2 1/2 - 3 weeks.
It will be updated online.

So helpful!
Thanks guys, especially since I lost my old card.
I have just received the greencard so I'll just go and ask for the new one!
Awesome!
Thanks mdyoung!

Don't worry about it, I had one too - for medical.
It only delayed the whole process by 2 weeks
-
I took the originals of everything - birth certs, marriage licence, etc.
We were not asked for any originals.
The most important thing they wanted to see were joint taxes, bank accounts, insurrance and pictures.
I did have a voided check from our joint account.
Advice: give the officer things even if not asked, especially supporting joint stuff.
Sometimes the decision is made elsewhere and if there's not enough stuff in your file there may be trouble.

Don't lie, just explain the situation.

So yes, I received the card on mon the 12th.
12 days after the interview.
It's great, I love the back of it, big hologram, looks like a big mirror!
Sooo happy!

RFE doesn't mean a denial at all.
I got one too, for my medical.
It's very, very common.
And now I'm approved!

He should get a state ID, this way you'll show that your addresses match.
Get a joint account, it's important, especially since you're missing other things.

COngrats!
Yes, they're not really joking around...
I tried it once with the officer in Newark, who was checking out my papers and the AP at the border.
She pronounced my name perfectly so I said: "wow, you pronounced my name so well..."
You know what she said after hearing that?
"you can go now."
Wow... then I just understood and decided I'm never even gonna attempt half joking with them!
AOS Interview Questions
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
Posted
out of my experience, they don't really care about you, non-American citizen...
Most questions were directed to my husband and he was the main person talking.
She did like and ask about the fact that I have been
here for 8 years and always legal, at schools, on a student visa.
She asked me if I had all my I-20s (i.e. proofs for my legal status from schools from all these years).
I did have them.
So take more things than needed for sure...
