This is an embassy specific question. Follow the advice from the other British VJers
-
The officer never asked my fiance about our engagement. In fact, there was no "Will you marry me" moment for us. We just knew that was the next step for us when he finished a contract out and we just talked that way for awhile. The emphasis on engagement (the moment and wedding plans) is really embassy specific sometimes.

The officer at my fiancé's interview didn't even look at my income or ask about it. I had my paystubs, letter, and last year's return.
But every embassy is different.

As someone else as mentioned before, it is entirely possible for you to just delay your entry and marriage until you are done. It would not be the ideal situation, but is an option. You have 4 months from I-129F approval to do the interview, however, your consulate may grant an extension of up to another 4 months. Then you have 6 months from your interview to enter.
Our I-129F approval happened in July. His interview wasn't until Dec 17.

You don't have a local HR representative that can give you that letter?

I left it blank and wrote N/A K-1 visa process

If you aren't planning to get married until March or later, just do the K-1 visa. Then when you come, you can get married and stay in the US. It's shorter than the others, but there is more filings to do, so a little more expensive. But With your plan, there is a lot flying back and forth that can be avoided with the K-1.

Have you arrived in the US, yet? Your timeline doesn't even say if you have been approved for your K-1. Anyway, you have 6 months to enter the country after approval. Is it possible for you to arrive after the gigs? I am sure you are anxious to be with your loved one, but throwing out another option.
-
P.S. Keep in mind you only have 4 months after approval until the petition expires, so unless she is going through the Consulate in China, you may be pushing it. Someone from the Japan forum be able to answer how easy it is to get an extension.
-
You don't need one from the U.S. so there's one worry off you. They do their own screens.
She can get it before she leaves, but do it as close as you comfortably can to her departure date from China.
-
Have you gotten the original yet? Deutsche Post has been really slow lately.

There is a packet of info that is sealed. The visa itself is in his passport.

I would advise seeing if you are going to even be able to get back into KSA. Unless things have changed in the past few years, hey don't usually give out visitor's visas or the like, even to Muslims. Most of the visas to non-KSA citizens are only done for hajj. More than likely you will not be able to visit her again to get evidence of meeting in person. I have known a few men who attempted to visit fiancees and couldn't get in. After establishing whether you can go back to KSA, the next course of action can be figured out..

I would bring a letter anyway. Even crossing into Canada for a weekend visit I need to show I am the sole custodial parent by showing my daughter's birth certificate. We have done it 5 times and I needed that proof all 5 times in order for us to leave the US. Same thing when we went to Europe. I was even asked for it when entering Amsterdam. She has a passport and the card.

Create new ones. Just have the beneficiary send you an updated one.
-
In my state, they ask how you want your last name. If yours is the same just put Smith Jones (for example) there. Our state then transfers that to the certificate.
-
Yes, Dublin. We used pre-clearance in Winnipeg and for whatever reason we got a US visa stamp in our passports even though we are USC. They will get all the info in Dublin and proceed as if you were in the US . You come into the US like a domestic flight. Make sure you have enough time in Dublin to accommodate.

We last saw each other Aug 2014. We filed June 2015. No issues and no RFE. We were approved in 27 days.

Do you have those plus your two simple assaults? Here is the ND Century code that they are relying on. 2b on the first page.
Ask a mod to move this to the IMBRA forum. You may have better luck there.
-
Uffda (another North Dakotan here). Were family members involved? The reason I ask is because a lot of domestic violence incidents are charged as simple assaults in ND; whereas some states do have separate domestic violence charges.

When we went back, they had reopened our DS160 to the photo section. Got it in. Thanks!

I think we are at the end of the road.
Everything was submitted to the Frankfurt Embassy. We were not able to attach a photo to the DS160. We both tried and we couldn't get the photo to be good enough quality. We chose the submit without photo option. My fiance sent an extra passport photo with the barcode confirmation page with all of our evidence. Embassy sent us an email this morning that all of our info has been received, but "DS-160. Form DS160 need the following correction: passport photo missing After you attached the photo, please resubmit the form and send us a notification via email."
So do we email back and explain? Or are we going to have to redo the entire DS160 all over again? Is there a way of just adding the photo to the one we have already done?

To be safe, I would do original signatures. My fiancé's work portion of the g325a wasn't done completely right, I added a page with the necessary info. No signature added.
Question about DS-230
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
I don't understand you asking to fill out the DS-230 for each member of your family. It should be for you and anyone coming with you. For K-1s that's usually children coming on the K-2.
