You have to show proof that you have already filed the I-130 when you file the I-129F. Then your spouse can come over on a K-3 and wait for the rest to be processed here in the US.

How can I find out, before NVC actually sends it to the embassy, which embassy they will send it to? My husband is in Libya and they don't have an embassy now so we're thinking it will go to either Egypt or Tunis. Can I call NVC and ask them which embassy it will go to now?

Robert, I'm sooooo sorry this happened to you! I really don't know what advice to give you about this because I can see the pros and cons of both sides... if you confront her she might claim abuse but if you don't confront her then you might be misunderstanding so you need to talk to her to get it all out in the open. Seems like a very difficult situation for you to be in.

One thing I haven't seen anyone comment on is the affidavit of support that he filed for her... what happens with that? If she flees is he still responsible to support her??? I sure hope not!

Yea Youssef doesn't drink and eat a lot either but I can't handle it I have to do them together. My big pet peeve right now is sharing. Now when I have a Diet Coke with lunch or dinner I want MY diet Coke. If he wants one he is welcome to have one but why does he have to drink mine with me? GAWD!! Seriously it makes me soooooo crazy. He says "but it tastes better when we share" I think it tastes just fine alone. I'm not big on sharing and he has to share everything. I can't even eat a candy bar alone, or if he's eating something he has to give me some. This REALLY gets me when it's something I don't like or don't want. When I say no he says "Afak, afak, come on just choya, afak" NO NO NO I don't want it!!!! Ok done ranting! haha

I'm thinking you don't have kids yet???? I have two from a previous marriage and OMG you can't have ANYTHING alone! I tell them all the time get your own glass!!!! Funny thing is they usually have a glass of something already fixed but they just want mine!!!! I got them to stop by telling them I'm sick (it worked when I had the flu) and they dont' want my germy bugs but now they ask me everytime they want something first "Mommy, are you sick today?" of course I dont' know why they're asking I assume they just care about me right???? Did I get the object of the game wrong?

I am new to this but it seemd that I might of found the someone who can help me. I am plannign to go to Amman in July or August to marry the man of my dreams. We met online and have been communicating for a few months. I am taking my vacation time from work and going to marry him. I want to be able to bring him to me the easiest and fastest way. Please help me so that I can be happy as you are . If anyone can help me I would be very greatful. I want to do it right the first time so that no delays.

My personal advice... if you're not already married, don't get married there... when you go get engaged or have only a religous ceremony so you can bring him here on a K-1 visa instead of the other. From what I've seen so far on here it's faster that way and you can get your marriage license in the US and he can wait here to adjust his status after that. Be sure to bring lots of proof back that you have met and plan to get married. Good luck!
