Parkers27910 got a reaction from Eric & Idalia in I-751 July 2017 Filers
I apologize in advance if this is a ridiculous question, but I'm hoping someone can help with some clarity! I have read a lot of panicky type of posts on this thread with regards to how long applications are taking to process. As I've read that once we receive the NOA form, the green card is temporarily extended for a year, I'm confused with how the processing time to have the conditions removed could hurt us if we already have the temp extension? What are the drawbacks (what can't we do while this is processing) to it taking so long?

    Thanks!!!

Parkers27910 got a reaction from Aahil in May 2015 Interviews
Just FYI for everyone interviewing in Montreal... I emailed them questioning whether or not I (the petitioner) am allowed to attend the interview with my husband. They responded the following:
The petitioner is not required to attend the interview. However, American Citizens are allowed to accompany applicants if space constraints permit and they bring their U.S. passport. Also, as part of our security procedures, all backpacks, bags, luggage, or large purses are prohibited inside the U.S. Consulate. Any visitor who refuses to follow these security procedures is prohibited from entering the Consulate facilities.
I am including the links below with helpful information in order to be fully prepared for the interview.

Please visit https://usvisa-info.com/ to register the appointment. When completing the registration, you will be prompted to choose a pick-up location for the Loomis courier service.
If you have any questions regarding the courier service or need assistance with your account, you may visit https://usvisa-info.com/ or contact the Official U.S. Visa Information & Appointment Services: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/information/contact_us
We hope that this information is helpful,
I saw discussion about this earlier, so I just wanted to pass the info along!

Parkers27910 got a reaction from ChristinaG in NVC Filers - March 2015
I received my email from NVC this morning stating they received my pack last Friday (March 20th) and it says "We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents."
Add me to the long list of you hoping for no checklists!
Also, I honestly have to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for those of you whom take the time to help the rest of us newbies. There are so many things I would have screwed up if I hadn't found this website.
Please realize how much joy and ease you have brought to my life as well as the lives of so many others. I'm feeling very, very grateful for you guys!

Hi Salem. You have to call NVC two weeks after uscis sent them ur file to ask if they registered your case. You can start filling ur AOS form I-864 u can download it from uscis website. For u to fill this form u have to have in hands W2 and Income taxes from 2012,2013 and 2014, which u will have to send together with the AOS. Also the beneficiary documents. Marriage Certification, Birth Certification, Passport copy, 2 photos, Criminal Certification and thats all. (You just get this ready, dont send this until you have ur case number and invoice number, fill ds-261 and ay the fee of 120usd). From 20-45 days after NVC registered your case you have to keep on calling NVC to ask for ur invoice and case numbers and also to add ur email address. So when u have this numbers u will go into ceac.gov and fill form ds-261 Choose of agent And pay the fee of 120 usd and PRINT to coversheets one for the Affidavit of Support and another one for the documents. When u fill ds-261 and pay 120 usd is when u can send the affidavit and the beneficiary documentations both in the same package). Then call to NVC three days after sending this to see if they received it. So then u will just have to wait for they to approved the ds-261 and when they do it they will enable the fee of 325 usd when u pay them on the website it is going to appear PAID and then some days after they will enable the form ds-260, You fill it and then u will just have to wait for case completed it takes from 45-60 days and then they assign ur interview some days after. Be Aware not to get a checklist each checklist means 60 more days of waiting. There are some documents online which tell you how to fill the form I-864 which is the most important. You have to sign this document with black PEN And write the case number nvc gaves u with PENCIL on each Affidavit sheet of paper. There are some youtube instructions too.
Good luck, wish my english was better so I could help u more.
