  1. Hello June Fillers

I need guidance with renewing my 2 year Green Card.
It expires in October 2020 and am not sure if an I-751 is the right form to use or is it the right time to send in the form.
I would also appreciate your help with tips, fees and how to front load my application to the  USCIS.
Finally, is there another form required to get the second phase for the Green Card before obtaining the US Citizenship?

    Appreciate...

Can you clarify if she is on a B2 or VWP? If the latter as above - she cannot do anything, she has to return to get an F1. If the former - technically she can do a CoS but with the timelines involved and the constraints on when an F1 status is valid from, it is highly likely that she will be refused and be in overstay. The consequences  of this are (1) she will have to leave immediately she gets the decision from uscis (2) her existing visa is cancelled (3) she would find it incredibly difficult to get another visa. I’m sure that that set of circumstances will be infinitely more difficult than the current ones, whatever they are.

How did they children acquire US citizenship? where is the children’s father?

She is on a B2 visa. The kids are citizens by birth.

Their father is not with them.

Not possible.   The F1 visa  interview is held in the home country.

Thanks for your swift  response Paul & Mary.

Is there a program She can get on without going back to her home country?

Her kids are American citizens and they are based here.

She need to stay with them and go back to school as well.

I look forward to your advise and help pls.

    Hello

Your spouse has to come with you, it is a requirement. Your baby can too, it is always a good proof but depending on his/her age it may not be the best idea because you are scheduled for a certain time but they may call ypu later than that time (we waited for an hour before getting called) and the interview itself could be between 10 min to an hour depending on your IO. If you have a small baby it is okay but a toddler could be hard to handle during the interview

It is fine  in a medium size office with 2 chairs and not a lot of space for  toddler to move around.

The documents required are all the ones listed on the letter and some pictures from the relationship and wedding are also good, it is best to have more than not enough.

What to expect : questions on your relationship, be able to tell each other parents full name and spouse DOB, how you met, proposal, who attended your wedding,  where your spouse works and vice versa, previous places of Living for each other, if you met each other parents, they will go over the application and verify if it is accurate and go thru all the Yes/No questions.

You will be okay , dont stress it and be yourself :)

    Good luck

Thank you so much for your comments... Very helpful and appreciate.

The babies are about 17 months old and wouldn’t want to interrupt the IO whilst interviewing us with the toddlers.

    Great, thank you. 😊

  5. Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone would help me with my questions please...

1 - I have also just received my interview letter in the post after 1 year 7 months of waiting to be interviewed! Anyway, I just wanted to know what documents are required to take with me to the IO’s office and can I take my babies and spouse to the interview?

I would appreciate a list of documents required and what to expect at the interview.

@ Icfreshful, how did your wife’s interview go?

    Appreciate all your comments...

    Thank you.

  6. Seems like this is the appropriate thread to ask this question. They received our RFE on the 6th and today is exactly two weeks and I'm anxious!

Does anyone know if the website will update the status after the review or do I need to wait for the letter to come on the mail?

    Hi Marriwilljust,

It's weird cause my Finace received a letter yesterday via post saying we have been approved after our RFE since March 11 but on the website, it still shows RFE received and no email confirmation either to confirm this. Called USCIS and same update on the website.

Not sure if I should be excited or not at this point.

    Has this happened to anyone????

By the way, been on this journey for almost 15 months! Crazy...?
