Hello! my green card will expire in 2017, right now my k2a visa is on process my PD is march 2015. Do y'all think i need to renew next year 2016 just to make sure my green card would not interrupt my case?? and I will be eligible to apply for citizenship 2017. so Should i just renew it but it will cost me $450 not sure for the price or wait until my family gets here then apply for citizenship ??

My category was f2-a. They told me that after case completes. They can set my appointment (IL) it defence how busy is the benificiarys country.. My country is philippines.

My wife is also from Philippines.

They told me at immigration im just gonna wait up to 3 months to get IL after i submit my ds260.. And now im on almost 2months.. And my case was completed lad oct 7.. Propably on december.

Just keep calling.. Call call call is the best.. Good luck

Saidk, how did u get approve so fast? As of now the priority dat is april 2014, and yours is jan 2015. Your almost done with everything. Do u have a lawyer?..they will process your visa when its near to priority date but yours is fast. I'm really confused.

Omg! This waiting is killing me.. My case was complete last oct.7 2015 via phone nvc phone call.. And got the CC email oct 14. Until now no more IL yet 2 times i called nvc already lastweek and still waiting for the appointment date to set ?...

Sad to say NO, your re-entry permit does not allow your continues stay in America. You need to wait 4-5 years to apply for citizenship.

Im k2visa but mines priority date is march 2015. My petition is on the system of NVC but not on process yet..it's a long wait since you just started but i think your visa is faster bec it's k1.

What's the NVC doing?? what is taking so damn long????? i just checked the priority date and its 15APR14, #######? my priority date is march 2015!!! every month they change month to month?? why is it so slow to process the damn visa! omg im so pissed of waiting. I just want to be with my wife and daugther! Urghh!!!!

Currently they are processing visas for those who applied before March 1, 2014. Your PD is in March 16, 2015. Still the date has to move one year to reach your PD. When the date comes anywhere close to 6 months of your PD, like Oct or so, NVC will send you the invoices for AOS and IV fees. You also do DS261, DS260 and I864 forms at that time. Once NVC reviews all those and everything is ok then they will say your case is completed and when your PD becomes current they will send all your documents to the embassy where your relative will have the visa interview. They will also schedule the visa interview like one month before the PD going to become current and notify you via email.

Then your relative has to do medical and biometric and then go to the interview. If the visa is approved in the interview, you will get your passport with visa within three to five working days. You will also receive a documents packet along with your passport. Don't open it. You have to give it to the immigration officer in the usa airport.

I am expecting around 8-10 months from now for your PD to become current and interview getting scheduled. That's just my guess based on current movement on the date.
