I went on the Kansas department of corrections and found the guy. Same name and birth date. He looks completely different from my husband. And the first 5 digits of his social are the same as my husbands. I called our old immigration attorney we used back during k-1 they want us to come in and show them everything so that they can verify its not going to conflict with my husbands pending ROC and N-400. Hello everyone! The interview went well. Our IO has never adjudicated I751 but took it on. He didn’t ask many questions about the green card, and said he is approving it. N-400 exam was easy. We really did luck out with our IO as he was extremely nice. He said we should expect an oath letter in a couple of weeks.

I had my infopass appointment today in San Jose, CA to get a stamp on my passport as our ROC is still pending. Everything went very smooth, the IO only asked for my passport and the extension letter, then checked (I believe) my information in the system, wrote some stuff on my passport and gave me a stamp which is valid for 1 year. Just wanted to share with you guys, the whole appointment was very fast and easy, like 5-10min

I have been approved for the I-751! Had my dual N-400/I-751 interview yesterday.
 
The IO wanted both my wife and I to come in, saw I had photo books of my kids and looked at them at the beginning and I narrated. He asked how often we get professional photos, and we said a couple times a year. We had photo books from 2014 to 2017 that he looked at. He seemed fine.
 
The folder for my I-751 was huge. He went through my name, DOB, where we met, what my marriage date was and then said he was going to approve it. Then onto my N400 interview which was simple (as expected from all the reading I've done in preparation). I was recommended for approval for that.
 
One thing was I have international travel for work coming up so told him and asked about the I551 stamp and he said I could get one outside. They gave me one until mid July, hopefully I get naturalized by then!
 
My wife jokes that I now have my 10 year green card valid for 2 months (the stamp in my passport says I-751 approved).

Just to let you all know @Derwood just received notification of an interview. Joint one.  No date yet and they are off to work, but they wanted me to pass it on to you all!

please report that officer. this is insane. she is totally using her power to frighten you. probably she has some inner issue she needs to work on. can't believe you were treated this way. this is unacceptable. report report report.

This is not normal, so don't think that. This is appalling and I am very angry what I have heard. Firstly, @Pat80 is quite entitled to apply for a joint N400/ROC, as laid down by the USCIS rules and regulations. Secondly, saving up shows responsibility and to accuse someone of something that is unfounded is quite disturbing. Even though the USCIS IO may have certain legal rights, this sounds like to me, from what I am reading an abuse of that right.   It sounds like they don't want to be bothered to look at ROC and are angered by it, its not professional at all and the delivery of this is just awful. It seems to me that because @Pat80 first language doesn't seem to be English then it's hard for them to defend their selves. I would be furious if this happened to me, furious and upset and very angry that someone accused me of something that was not true, USCIS officer or no USCIS officer! I would put an immediate complaint into the IO's behaviour towards me and probably contact a lawyer and the Ombudsman, Senator and such immediately. No excuse for this, zero!

I’m so depressed now and so sad seeing my husband crying. The IO said she might make the decision in 3 months or 3 years.

OMG, I just gasped in shock. How dare she!! I would put an immediate complaint in regarding her accusations, she has no evidence of this and this pure slander.

I went to combo interview today and it is the worst day of my life. N 400 interview went well. And the IO then did the ROC interview. She blamed me for N 400 filing which force her to make decision on ROC. She asked me a lot of questions and some  that I have never expected like address of my landlord, the source of money from joint account. She asked why we have much money only (27k) while my husband got 30K a year. I told her that he keep it for years and did not spend much money. I actually did not understand what she wanted. She then called my husband and ask, he replied that it’s joint account and we keep it together. The IO said one of us lied. And then sent me back home said that she’s not satisfied and it’s money laundering. We did not answered wrong or lie but it’s our money we keep for long time. I don’t know what to say to make her happy. 
 
If I got deported, we both would go back my country. No more hope for this country

You need to keep that passport so secure, you have no idea how bad it is too lose one. I had this problem for 4 weeks until recently finding it. You have to have a counter signatory on the photos to apply, but it's near impossible to get the right size photos. The counter signatory would have to be someone who is professional and who your husband has known for at least two years as a friend, neighbour or acquaintance, then you would have to have a photocopy of their passport page. It is one HUGE headache and I am SO glad you found it, I wouldn't want you to go through the sheer panic I went through the past month, not too mention you probably will need that passport for the interview too.

Good morning friends, just updating that I got my GC yesterday. It was so fast from approval to get the card. 
Now it is time to apply for citizenship. oh, I am glad this stressful time is over, however we are going for the other one...ha ha 
I appreciate all of you who help each other and meeeeeeeeeeeee as well... 

Way to go Pat80.  Im glad you contacted your senator, hope they pestered and pestered the USCIS about your ROC and say its not acceptable the long wait time. Not long to your interview, so happy for you and please let us know how you got on.  Interesting also to know it has been transferred to your local office.

Hey you guys, so I‘ve been following this thread for a while. I applied in February of 2017 with Vermont (ROC). Never heard anything. Got my stamp last month. And then today I get home and wouldn‘t you know it I had my green card in the mail!!! No approval notice, no nothing. I checked my status online last night and it was the same old, one number saying case was received back in the good old day and the other number said it was transferred to my local office on March 4th. So random, I definitely did not expect this! So to everyone who has been waiting and been thinking „wth is going on“ go check your mail boxes! And Shell, thanks girl for all the funny and uplifting comments!!! I really hope everyone else here that is still waiting will get this surprise in the mail soon!!! 

Shell, You crack me up as always! Thank you for that. I cannot think about this whole thing anymore. I just hope for my wife's sake that she gets a joint interview, and we do not have to chase our tail with the whole green card approval first. I can't find it, but did Pat80 have a joint interview in the end?

Wow, congratulations firstly. Just wow as youre Vermont and it should have been approved by now. I guess a joint filing might have delayed that?  Any way good luck, shame you wont see your GC though, you could have taken a picture of it and hung it on the wall as decor to remember the LONG journey!

Anyhow, my wife was scheduled for her N-400 interview here in our Boston office on May 4th. Guessing it will be a joint interview, since there is absolutely no progress on the removal of conditions front. As I mentioned before my wife got her passport stamped with an extension for 1 year (about 1 month ago).

Anyhow, my wife was scheduled for her N-400 interview here in our Boston office on May 4th. Guessing it will be a joint interview, since there is absolutely no progress on the removal of conditions front.
