Was just going through Igor's list for TSC I129F approved applicants (since us TSC people have nothing better to do) and noticed that there were a considerable amount of applicants approved in only weeks.
For example February 2015 has a ton of applicants who were approved in mere weeks.
I know Philippines are auto expedited. As well as some other countries (not sure which ones exactly).
But some of the recipients countries listed definitely do not fall under auto expedite.
Just curious what else falls under an auto expedite.

I wrote a letter to the POTUS as well. We chose the K1 over the K3 because it was a faster route to get him over here even though it costs more money and longer wait to get the green card. Now, if we would've known it was going to take this long, we would have went with the K3, it would have save us money and he would have gotten his green card at POE.... That's what I summarized in my letter to the White House.
I agree with this.
This is probably the thing that infuriates me the most about this whole process.
We also initially debated this when filing as well. It was always understood that K1 would come out much quicker than Spouse visa. I didn't care that my fiancee would automatically have her greencard upon entry or that I would have to pay more for the K1 process. I didn't care how much more it was. I only cared about getting my fiancee into the U.S. as quick as possible so that we wouldn't have to waste our time living apart.
Absolutely furious.

You need a letter from someone who knows you both? ? Is this some type of new requirement?

I need some hope. Long complaining message here.
Thank you for your time in advance.
I don't know where or who I can share these with.
Hate when every time I talked with my friend she always says why don't you just get married with visting visa. ..... :/ well. That's not right thing to do. But what the heel I'm suffering from doing the right thing ?
It's only been 62 days at my noa1. So like some of you said my k1 visa still a tiny fertilized egg in big busy mama TSC.
I just got into a fight with my fiancé. About the timing we talked. It seems theres never a right time for us to talk. Even messages on whatsapp he feels like I'm bothering him sometimes.
In my night time (his morning) he got bunch of works to do.
He told me he wanted to chat with me but he got cought into jobs chores friends family.
He felt he can't be here for me fully.
That bothers him.
End up he got nothing done. So distracting.
When he got time before bed.
Its my morning. I'm working.
I can't chat with him.
We're exactly 12 hours time different.
We only able to FaceTime durning weekend.
We love each other.
But we both hate to be tied down on our phone.
I try my best to reply his messages. He does the same
We Both like to reply friends messages 3 days late or even longer.
we're so not long distance relationship type of people
We're so good to be togeher in real life.
We didn't start our relationship with long distance.
We lived together for 2 years. Never be apart. Longest time always from each other was 3 days..
Knowing that we got something in the future waiting for us. I know what we have is so much better than other where-the-future-is Long distance relationship.... I know that and greatful for that.
But still I don't really know what to do here.
Miles away. 12 hours time differnces.
Phone hater.
Both have busy schedule.
Anyone having similar long distance issue ?
How do you guys stay in touch in miles away ?
TSC related question.
I saw theres flood damage in Texas.
Pardon me that I don't have time to find out more info on the internet. But I'm wondering will it effect TSC working ?
TSC please.
even married couple can't be separated for over a year. It's really killing me now. So painful. Hurt so much.
7 months TSC vs 1.5 months CSC .... :/ so not fair.
Effort.
One of the most important requirements in a relationship.
I've seen relationships fall apart due to either person A or person B's lack of effort. Eventually it just turns into things becoming a hassle or one person becoming lazy in the relationship.
And especially in a long distance relationship, effort is extremely crucial.
This isn't a comparison post and I don't mean to make comparisons. But, I'm in the same boat as you. We have a 11/12 hour time difference (changes depending on daylight savings time), so like in your case, when it's morning here, it's nightime where my fiancee lives.
But, I will make every single effort to communicate with her and dull the pain of the TSC processing time and our time apart.
Whether it's a simple 5 minute call when I'm eating breakfast, skype chat on my drive to work, setting the alarm early on a weekend so I can wakeup and call her, etc. If you truly love the person, you'll put in the time and effort to do. There is no such thing as "didn't have time." You'll make time and the effort if you love the person. You really need to communicate with your fiance about this.
No one likes being apart for literally 7-8 months. My fiancee and I are 'phone haters' as well. When I lived in Korea for 2 years, we saw each other literally everyday. No one likes to be separated, forced to live apart, and adapt to a phone relationship. But it's what we have to do until her visa is approved.
But this is something you and your fiance have to accept and adjust to. The TSC process is grueling and truly tests the bond of your relationship. This is just one test.

"but I just can't shake that feeling that he wouldn't have to go through all of this if he wasn't with a foreigner."
I can't tell you how much this resonates with me. However, they could say the same for us. And, I'm sure every man in here could reassure us that they ~wouldn't do it for someone they weren't completely and absolutely in love with. So, there's that. But I hear you. I've been trying to think of a way to distract myself from constantly checking (now I deleted my app, so that's good), thinking about it and, most of all, worrying about it. I'm going to try super hard to enjoy what "little" time I have left here in Canada and spend more time with friends/family and less time in my room with Netflix checking my USCIS app in a fit of desperation and depression.
I feel like I have turned into the worst kind of human.
I agree with this. I'm the petitioner and although there are times when I rage about this whole process, I can't help but to think how much worse it is for my fiancée (beneficiary). Her whole life has been basically put on hold for X amount of time. In the meantime, I can continue with my life/career waiting for her to come over. While she has to stop everything, change her plans, and count the days till her life can "continue" again.
I've been fortunate and blessed in that she hasn't really shown any anger/frustration about this whole long process so far. Granted, it's only been about 3 months since I got my NOA1. I can only imagine what the Sept/Oct petitioners are going through.
It's really unfortunate, unfair, ridiculous with the processing times of CSC vs TSC.
I'm happy that the CSC don't have to go through this miserable process like we do. But sometimes I think to myself, for CSC petitioners this is just a brief process. For TSC petitioners, this is a journey.

Holy #######. Are you serious?
300 days is criminal. No one should have to wait that long.
I guess, what they say is true. It could take 500 days and no one would care.
I feel for you.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm not overly worried about AOS (not that I don't understand the frustration with the backlog and uneven processing times. it's awful too). I mostly just want to be able to stop paying for two houses in two countries and get to chance to see my partner more than once every 100 or so days (at $500 a pop). His green card, while important, is a far second to the ability to see each other and get to start our lives in the States.
Agreed. I couldn't care less about the AOS. Likewise with the green card.
I just want to get her here to the states as fast as possible so that we can actually be together in person, rather than being together over the phone and Skype.
Flights to/from South Korea are not exactly cheap (Starting from roughly $1000 and up). It's gotten to the point where the costs of the flights don't even really phase me anymore. I would drop $1000 every month or so to go see her if I had the vacation time. As we both work fulltime, our vacation times are limited so we're basically left with seeing each other only 2-3 times a year.
Lazy workers, incompetent management, apathy, etc. Who knows what the underlying reason is. But when your underlying reason (laziness, horrible management, etc.) is affecting people's lives directly, you better believe this is a serious problem.

We considered the same thing, but it's not quite as simple as that. The spousal visas may (or sometimes may not) progress faster through the service center, but they spend longer at NVC, while the I-129F petitions are forwarded to the consulate for an interview to be scheduled. Spouses of US Citizens have to go through AOS before they go for their interview. This draws out the process so it does tend to take longer for spouses from filing to visa in hand than it does for a K1 application.
Ahh...didn't know that.
Thanks for the information. Learn something new everyday. =)

http://www.visajourney.com/content/timesShows you the average processing date
http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=3&option=2&sortby=2Shows the approvals by month
I always though K1 visas were approved quicker than Spousal visas and that was the general understanding.
If what the information is saying is true, then Spousal visas from Nov. are already being approved.
If only we knew.......would have saved so much time and money. Ughh....

Telling you...we should ask for Anonymous's help.
Transparency so all can see the gross imbalance, is what we really need.
-
Help us Anonymous!
-
This is seriously beyond pathetic. CSC is what....21 days now? And now new TCS filers are being routed to CSC. So basically any TSC filer from end Aug.-mid/end Mar.(rough dates) is screwed into oblivion.
Someone needs to contact Anonymous again. They made a video about this issue when CSC had this problem back in 2013.
-
Its not fair and its beyond ridiculous. The disparity between the 2 centers is atrocious. Tsc is taking roughly 7X compared to CSC.
Imagine Amazon has 2 distribution centers. One in CA and one in TX. CA distribution delivers packages in 3 days. Meanwhile Amazon's Texas customers receive their packages 21 days later. Do you know how many heads would roll?
If this scenario was in the private sector, you'd have mass firings.
Our lives have basically been put on hold due to subpar management, planning, workers work ethic, etc. Whatever the underlying reason.
At least let us have a tiny wedding ceremony so that we can make it official. Nope, you can't do that.
Something has to change. -
The thing that makes me angry is all the misinformation being given by websites, lawyers, etc and the ridiculous imbalance between Texas and California. Once I first started my process, I met a couple of immigration lawyers and they all told me the same thing. "Ohh, it'll only be about 5 months or so."
This website is the only website that has real up to date information due to the community.
I don't get how there could be such a huge difference between Texas and California. We're paying the same petition fee as the people who are routed to California, yet it appears the wait times are nearly double of California. How is this even being allowed?
It was always understand that a K1 visa would be much faster than a spouse visa. Not to mention the money saved. Now, the spouse visas are being approved faster than the K1 visas. This makes absolutely no sense.
If I had known of the ridiculous wait times and the joke that is this whole process, I would have done things differently.

Yeah and what's more silly if you read the OP's first posting, it lists the same address.
One has DHS and USCIS and the other has USCIS.
USCIS is a department of DHS ......
......so you could put "Santa Claus" before the address and your petition would still be delivered to that address.
And there ARE issues that are not addressed in the guide (notably, how to handle Latin style surnames and what to do if street/mailing addresses do not exist in the country you are petitioning for).
That's what the Regional Forums are for.
I understand it's the same address, but that wasn't my point.
In my original post, I was asking if it makes a difference that the 'recipient's name' had to be USCIS or DHS, USCIS.
As the other poster mentioned, for us 'newbs' this is all a bit overwhelming as we try to complete these documents for our first time.
We have 'silly' questions because we've been trained to interpret these documents literally due to all these talks of RFE's over minor things.
Spending countless hours and scouring these forums, I've seen a laundry list of 'silly' things that people mention will cause an RFE.
-Using blue instead of black ink will cause RFE.
-Writing 'N/A' or 'None' instead of leaving the space blank will cause RFE on the newer forms.
-Writing with ink instead of pencil on back of passport photo will cause issues even though some people say it doesn't matter.
These are the type of things that cause us 'newbs' to freak out. Hence, why we've tried to take things literally on these documents.
For the veterans, I understand our freakouts might seem a bit silly. But for us beginners, this is a stressful period in our life as we try to make sure our petitions are 100% spot on with absolutely no chance of an RFE.
We've come to these forums to ask you veterans, the experts who've already been through this process, with our silly questions. I understand our questions can be extremely silly sometimes but, as mentioned, it's a critical time in our lives and we've come here, seeking your experienced help because you've been through this process already.

No cover-letter is needed at all. Its chief purpose, if any, is perhaps to serve as a concise guide of what you're enclosing.
Some reading:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/410945-k-1-journey-completed/
Thanks for the information.
I now understand the cover letter is not needed.
But as my fiancee already sent me her signed letter of intent (with the older
`United States Department of Homeland Security.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.' as the recipient) I wasn't sure if this would be a problem or matter at all.
-
That was the same address I put on mine (not yet filed with USCIS). I got the example form from here:
http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples
I took it that the "Address of filing location" was the same address that I was sending the complete I-129F package to?
Yes, that's where I got it from also.
It shows the recipient as:
United States Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
So I don't know if this will be a problem or not because the other files just list 'USCIS' as the recipient.
-
Please read the guides. Everything you need to know is in them!
I just pulled this from the k1 visa guide.
There was a link directly to the USCIS website.
"The USCIS Dallas Lockbox
For U.S. Postal Service:
USCIS
P.O. Box 660151
Dallas, TX 75266
For Express mail and courier deliveries:
USCIS
Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067"
I must have read an older version of the guide. Because some of the guides list Department of Homeland Security as the address.
Will this be a problem?
-
Oh no.
On the Letter of Intent, my fiancee wrote the following address and signed it:
United States Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067
Will this be a problem?
-
Hello,
On one of the sample I-129F cover letters, it shows the address as follows:
United States Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067
But one of the other sample I-129 cover letters I've seen, it shows:
USCIS
Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067For the cover letter and actual address I write on the envelope package, which one is correct?
Thank you in advance!
-
Thank you everyone!

Question about this page.
The 2nd page of the G-325a is an instruction page.
I'm assuming I can just discard this and not include with the I-129F package correct? Or is it required to be included?
-
I'm aware that you can include either the birth certificate or passport.
I'm going to include the birth certificate.
I've included the front and back of the birth certificate. The back side is blank but you can see the slight indentation of the seal.
Should I put my name, sign, and date both pages? Also, should I include a message on the "blank" page stating something to the effect that this backside of the BC is blank?
-
Have a pecular but dumb question.
Would there be any problems with writing the date twice on I-129F cover letter and Fiance letter of intent?
Before the body of the letter, typically a date would be entered.
But then at the bottom, isn't it standard to put your signature, name, and date?
I know i know, a very odd question.
Question about Igor's list for TSC.
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted · Edited by AirConditioner515
So then why are some of these random applications being auto expedited and getting NOA2's within mere weeks?
I'm assuming just the whole randomness and joke that is TSC?
