Please do not accept the bs of him staying half year here and half year there,he will have a new family there, period, and he will return here every time he needs some money. You love your husband, but I don't think he loves you at all. What you described here is not a healthy relationship my dear. Buy one way ticket, ,divorce him and move on . Life is to short to live with someone that clearly has zero respect for you.

One way ticket, if he wants to come back he can work, save to do so.

This will not expedite your case nor will it carry any weight when the file is reviewed.

Really? You think every domestic violence case has solid basis? There are so many women who make fake calls about it, and most of the time, who is the court going to believe? The woman........ However. I do think there's more to the story. Who knows what really happened that night? We never will.

Then why doesn't everyone just get a tourist visa and adjust status once they're here?

Is it legal for her to even be in the US with an expired tourist visa? Legally you should get married and she goes back to her country to wait just like everyone else. Doesn't matter if you met her after she was already here.

Actually, no. Plenty of people in the US are wrongly convicted. And due to the story, I can see how it may have looked to the cops like domestic violence. Even if the wife tried to defend him at the scene, the cops still could have taken him in because in many domestic violence cases the woman will still defend the man. They probably thought she was only doing it in front of the "abusive" husband. Come on, don't act like the cops in this country are saints.

Shauna&Wael got a reaction from kamw in How did (or are you ) dealing with the separation during the waiting process?
I haven't seen my husband since January, and before that it was a year since I'd seen him. You won't survive unless you have complete trust in your spouse and faith that the waiting will be worth it. I try to take all of the waiting as a blessing in disguise because it makes you appreciate every little moment you have with your spouse when you're with them. It also makes you realize how much they mean to you and how much you're willing to do for them. We rarely fight but when we do it's usually because we're both so stressed out and tense about the situation. Don't let this distance and time come between you and always remember why you're doing it in the first place. Good luck and YES, it will all be worth it. (Even though it's still not over for me).

Is it legal for them to make the decision before the interview has been conducted? sounds like some CO's are grouchy and just don't want to accept evidence given at the time of the interview. can't you ask for their supervisor?

The U.S. citizen is always the petitioner, the foreign spouse is always the beneficiary. Which one are you?
