I did the biometric a couple of months ago. Today, I received a letter from uscis, they requested that they need more evidence for our marriage. "good faith marriage, insufficient evidence"

Originally, I sent documents on mortgage documentation, 2017 tax returns, auto insurance policy, and bank statements. 

This time, i will be sending 401k beneficiaries, life insurance beneficiaries, 2016 & 2018 tax returns, driver licenses, health insurance cards, photos, and letter from friends family.

Any other ideas what to send or tips that you can give me?

They sent me RFE as well last week , asking for more documents . Send them documents from the marriage date to the present date. Normally they mention which documents they already have  so Don’t send them those documents. Send them federal & state tax return from the marriage year to 2018. Lease documents from the marriage date to the present. Drivers licenses copies of both of you showing same address.bank statements from the marriage date to the present with transactions pages . Health insurance from the marriage date to the present, auto and renters insurance from the start to the present date . I also included the ledger statements for apt lease , insurance companies they can provide you upon request.

Also they made me redo the biometrics about a month ago. This people are ridiculous 

I received RFE letter on Monday as well . They requested me documents from the marriage date to the present day . I sent them a box of documents yesterday to keep them busy for a little while .

I mailed the documents/RFE back to them today to California Service Center . Hopefully they will receive it within 2-3 days . And after that I don’t know when they will be able to process my application? Does anyone have any idea how long does it take from there ?

You could add in a statement as to why you don't have a joint account. Something simple such as that as a couple ya'll have chosen to keep your finances separate, and then explain who pays what bill and so on and so forth. This has helped a good number of couples who don't have joint accounts because joint accounts is almost something USCIS expects from everyone, along with tax returns.

We included random bank statements for each of us for address verification and payments verification for different utilities that also shows online transfers between our accounts.

Thank you everyone for being so Generous here . I am able to gather a bundle of evidence from the date of marriage to present date .

1. Copies of lease from the marriage date to present date with General ledger which shows all payments activities.

2. Copies of state and federal tax return with W-2 for year 2015 and 2018( they already have 2016and 2017) .

3. Copies of Drivers license for both of us .

4. Copies of health insurance from the marriage date to the present date.

5. Copies of car insurance from the marriage date to present date with Ledger shows all payments made . 

6. Copies of renter insurance from the marriage date to the present date .

7. An affidavit from neighbor. 

8. Several vacation tickets from each year.

9. Since we don’t have any joint checking or savings account so we included utility bills and checking accounts statements for both of us for random months from each year. 

10. Official confirmation letter form UPS stating change of address from old address to new address in both names . 

Am i missing any thing ?

We already submitted 2016 and 2017 tax return with our petition. Should I include it again with 2015 and 2018 tax return? They provided a small envelope to return these bundle of additional evidence which I can’t fit it in .... it’s like asking elephant to go through doggy door

I did send the car papers where I'm a co-buyer, mortgage papers where I'm the co-owner, previous lease documents of the apartments we used to live at are where I was listed, I sent joint checking account statements, I sent pictures of all of us in different years on Holidays and family trips, I sent bills in my name and his name that are sent to the same address, joint tax returns for a few years, I did send the marriage certificate. Some say it's not needed, but in Law School back at home I was taught that it's better to send excess documents and be redundant than have things missing and lose the case.

Thanks for your time  . All they need is evidence from the date of marriage to the current date . With my I-751 form I submitted documents/evidence after I got 2 year green card . We thought they already have previous documents but they requested those documents again which is completely waste of time , paper and Ink.

Not so good with CC that made that evidence a bit harder to use.

Letters address you both or some in her name and some in yours shows that you both get mail to the address. If its more important mail like bills that would be better! Utility bill are a good one to use. I would sent them from time of marriage til now since you guys lack the good financial evidence for ROC. 

I thought Joint Tax return is a part of  financial evidence . And will include some letters from random dates . I appreciate your time . Please let me know if you have more ideas . Thanks

So for the financial you said you guys have a shared CC right? Can you print out statements from start of marriage (or when you get it til now)?

Also attach a letter saying that you do not share a joint checking or savings account do to ....

401K or anything else you guys have that show you/your spouse is the beneficiary of that

Do you have any mail address to neither of you (some in your name and some in his or in both names) that can show that you lived at that address together. 

Also print out the account where the payment are paid from to that rent.

We don’t have any checking/saving account . And yes I am authorized user on her credit card but I lost my credit card 2 years ago so we use her credit card for groceries and stuff so on statements it shows only her name .  

For proof of payments I requested lease office to print me ledger for payments . I also requested Car insurance and renters insurance companies to provide of ledgers for payments made from start to the present date . 

For tax return I am gonna include 2015 and 2018 statement  . They already have 2016 and 2017.

Much of the evidence you submitted is recent because it is dated or effective in 2018. The evidence you submitted is insufficient to demonstrate continual and communal residence with your spouse from the date of marriage to the present. It also did not demonstrate commingling of financial responsibilities as described below from the date of your marriage to the present.

To establish eligibility for removal of conditions on residence, Please submit additional evidence to show you and your spouse entered the marriage in good faith and continue to share life together. “

Congrats on your approval. May be you have Answers for my questions . They sent me RFE request as well which I haven’t received yet . May be I will receive it tomorrow. What did documents did they request from you ? And how long did it take after the RFE to approve ?

A lot of times, they will list what they do have. If you see anything missing that you know you sent, send it again.

But yes, it looks like other than Joint Tax returns and the credit card statement saying it's in both names, you will want to try to add in joint accounts (bank, credit cards, etc), joint bills, joint loans.

You'll want to send AT LEAST one full bank statement for every quarter you've been married. If you want to make sure you're good 100% you can send them all.

We don’t have joint bank checking or saving account . I sent 2016 and 2017 tax return . And 15 months apt  lease copy and renter insurance assuming that they already have the previous lease agreements and rental insurance. Looks like I missed to sent them my spouse passport copy and marriage certificate copy

I am CSC June 2018 filer . Finger Print Appointment done on July 18th 2019. And my case status update today to RFE letter sent . With my application I already provided , joint tax return documents, lease documents, rental insurance, car insurance, health and dental insurance, Marriage certificate, my GC photocopy,  credit card letter confirming both names, vacation tickets and pictures, 2 letters from friends. What else may they ask for ? And once I provide whatever they want HOW LONG I MIGHT WAIT AGAIN?  Are they going to throw me back to the end of line ? This is so frustrating...

Sorry I have done mine biometrics on July 18th( mistyped in earlier post) and it will be a similar interview if you have done one for conditional greencard . Just get some fresh evidence with you like lease , insurance, tax returns , some vacation tickets and few pictures etc . You will be fine
