Hi everyone,
Any NVC updates for anyone yet? We submitted our I-130 and it was received on Aug 26th, 2014. Just got the notice that it was transferred on feb 12th, 2015 to the NVC. I've been reading the forums and noticing that its best to wait a month before calling NVC to follow up on the case numbers etc so that we can continue with the necessary forms. We're halfway there though! ...keeping hopeful!
congrats! how exciting!! Do you know how i can go about changing the email address i initially set up? Will they also send us a physical piece of mail with the NVC welcome letter?
Thanks for your help in advance!
My guess is that the only way to go about changing your email address would be to call NVC and give the details. Cos the welcome letter comes to the email address given to USCIS and once NVC starts processing your case you can give your contact details in the DS 261.
Haven't recieved the welcome letter via post yet. Email works for me

I just received the NVC welcome letter with all the details (case no & IIN) to my husband's (petitioner) email. Yay! My NOA2 date was 01.30.2015 so anybody around the same time should keep a close eye on their email cos it's on it's way
All the best!
Our NOA2 approved on 01/30/2015 states that the NVC will contact beneficiary within 30 days if not to email nvcinquiry. Just sent them an email. Hopefully would hear back.
Has anyone taken the route of writing to this email?
Their phone line is impossible to get through to and the only time my husband got through to them they haven't given any information stating to call back if we don't hear from them within their timeline of 35 days.
We also received an email notification from USCIS on 02/12/2015 that said our case was sent to NVC. Hopefully 30 days would be from the date of approval and not from the date they sent the file to NVC. -
I use the Google Hangouts app on my phone.... it works from my laptop as well.... it's a free app, just need a Google account
Awesome! Thanks so much!

Are you calling NVC from outside of USA with no charge? If so please let me know how? Would make life so much easier if I am able to call to from Sri Lanka.
I got the update as well and confirmed over the phone that they had physically rec'd the cases in office about a week after the date in the 2nd message.
As for the phones, exercise great patience and just keep at it..... I use Google Hangouts on my cellphone so that there is no long distance...
Best wishes!!

On Tuesday I got an email from USCIS:
On February 3, 2015, we sent your case, Receipt Number LINxxxxxxx, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing.
Does this mean I will have a case number when I call NVC or will it still take more weeks? Did anyone else receive a similar notice?
We just received one stating the case was sent on February 11th. NOA2 date was January 30th. 2 weeks just to pass on the case! I was actually hoping NVC would have received it by about now. SO FRUSTRATING!

I completed the DS 261 and paid the AOS fee on 03.03.2015 and the confirmation receipt states that it will take 2-3 business days. It's been close to 2 weeks now and the status still shows as 'in process'!
Tried calling NVC but as usual it's impossible to get through to. Anyone else faced with a similar situation?
