  1. Ok, i will just have to submit the evidence again,

beneficiary information from our job insurance

    joint bank accounts

    multiple joint credit cards

    joint renting

    pictures

    joint phone bill

vacation tickets. those are the evidence we sent in.

we do not have life insurance yet. My daughter joined us last November he (my husband US citizen filed for her) so we want to add her information, such as credit cards he opened for her under our accounts. he is listed on her school records and also send info showing we all living together, along with pics of all three of us since she started living here.

  2. Hi, I did mt ROC in April 2015, my 2 yr green card expired may 2015, I finally got a letter march 2016, they need more evidence. my cut off date to send the evidence is May 29, 2016. I sent a list of prove they needed when i filed in April 2015, thru out my process i never had to do anything my self as I went thru a agency. now I have to do this part my self. I do not know what to do and I am so close to the cut off date. oh and I lost the letter but i request for a copy and it should be here soon. In the mean time i need to gather information. I am so stressed out, I am wondering if i can just skip this and go the interview route. Is it possible i could just schedule for a interview?

  3. I understand fully that there are cases where travel is desirable related to an emergency situation.

However, I am amazed at the number of people on this forum who seem to want/need to travel when there is always some risk involved. i.e. Risk of not getting back into USA.

This process is critical and tons of problems can develop where applicants travel, change locations, change jobs, etc. at or around critical dates.

Seems to be totally logical and the best choice to sit tight until new cards are firmly in hand . . . except for true life threatening events.

Note; I am putting this here in this thread because I am just now reading it. It is not aimed at current poster any more than it is aimed at all such who do this.

Hi, I had to go pick up my daughter who is 17 who was migrating here to the USA (her first time leaving the island), which was very very important, going and comig back was verrrrrrrry smooth I had no problem, all they needed was my expired green card, my ëxtension letter and my passport. I appreciate your help thanks.

  4. congrats!!. can you give me a description of the package when you pick it up or anyone else who has gone through this process.

HI, So my daughter is finally here she came sunday, going thru immigraion was smooth, it took less than 10 minutes, the package had her passport and a letter stating how to pay the entry fee and how to obtain the social security number, then there was brown envelope that had a stamp on it saying "DO NOT OPEN", that envelope you hand to the immigration when you get here. her POE was JFK

  5. Kryssy...the visa may have been issued today but it may not be with the couriers yet. I would call tomorrow to check with DHL if they have it and if you can pick it up and then you can go from there with rescheduling the flight. Keep us posted if you call.

Hi, her visa was picked up today by DHL I received a tracking number via email from the embassy, and I can also track it now thru the website i registered her passport..... i am so happy, because i had resheduled the flight for sunday nov 22nd.

  6. you can call DHL directly...they'll be able to tell you if they have the passport and you may be able to pick it up if they do. I told my husband to call them tomorrow to see if his is ready for pick up because it was issued yesterday. Last year my mom's visa was issued on thursday and was ready for pick up on monday so that is two business days...idk if it is the same right now.

but i can call even tho i dont have a tracking number? what information will they need?

Thank you, I have a idea that its not yet with the couriers yet, and thats why i am just going to recheduling my flight, its a fee but I have to do it, but who should i call to check if DHL has it?

  8. Hi kryssy,

I can certainly feel for you. Yeah, although it states "do not book flights ..... ", we did the same thing. If you were right on, then you probably would have saved money, because flights are cheaper the further in advance you can book. So it's a gamble!

As far as your question. It is very frustrating. We required additional documents which were received by the embassy in Bogota on October 23rd. Still waiting for that status to change from "Administrative Processing" to "Issued". Just trying very hard to NOT check the website more than once per hour. LOL.

    Best of luck.

Hi just wanted to let you know that its now showing "ISSUED" in ceac, I am super happy, i hope yours change soon, if it has not already...... best of luck to you....

P.S I was checking the website atleast 10 times per Hour, LOL. GOOD LUCK AGAIN!!!!
