  1. 2. Please help me to understsand more about ROC. I have been in USA since Oct 12th 2015. And I just received my SSN Card not so long ago.

My POE was LAX Airport and On my passport has US Stamp said Admitted LAX on Oct 12th, 2015 /Class CR1 Until Oct 12th, 2017.

    1. Does it mean my conditional residence expires on Oct 12th, 2017 ?

    2. When can i file I 751 ? How does 90 days windows work ?

    3. Do I have to submit all evidences again like I submitted when filing I 130 ?

    Please guide me through

    Thanks so much

Hi, how are you?. yes the your conditional residence will expire on that date. You have to file with in the 90 days of experation, not before and not after, mine expiered on may 15th 2015 and i filed on April 24th 2015, I recieved my Receipt of notice letter on May 15 2015th, the same day it expired (that was cool), which will be a temporary 1 year green card until I receive the 10 year green card, and yes you will have to submit evidence showing that your marriage is still active such as pictures together or with family memebers, trips taken together, health insurance, mortgage or rent reciepts in both names, bank account in both name, phone bill, car insurance, so with in this 2 years gahter your evidence along the way.

    P.S I hope this helped

  3. I had my interview a few days ago. However when I got home I realized that I (benificiary) did not get back my birth certificate as it was requested at my interview. It is an original copy. Is that normal, do I get it back in the package when my visa is delivered to me? any similar experience let me know ASAP please.

Yes i have experience this, they never give you back your originals, I am out of originals when i did my paper work they kept it , my daught just did her interview and they did not give it back, i will have to visit RGD when i go down to get some more.

  5. Hi davidboston, thank you and yes its cheaper to book the flights early plus i have to sign up for vacation like a month in advance, but you are so silly about checking the website lol, what website do you go to to see the status? I did not go to a website, i called the NVC, but what website did you use to see the status?

Hi, never mind i just got the link, and now am going to be checking it every second, lol,

Put in your case number, it'll give you the same updates that they're giving you on the phone. =]

Here is the main home page for that site if you need it for reference: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

boy do i love this website..... thank you soooooooo much, this is way easier than calling and being on hold for 40 minutes or more.

  7. Hi kryssy,

I can certainly feel for you. Yeah, although it states "do not book flights ..... ", we did the same thing. If you were right on, then you probably would have saved money, because flights are cheaper the further in advance you can book. So it's a gamble!

As far as your question. It is very frustrating. We required additional documents which were received by the embassy in Bogota on October 23rd. Still waiting for that status to change from "Administrative Processing" to "Issued". Just trying very hard to NOT check the website more than once per hour. LOL.

    Best of luck.

  8. No way for you to expedite this process, sorry. I would contact the airline to see if they will change the departure date for free if need be.

Thank you, I did contact them but there will be a fee, I was just hoping she will be here for thanks giving, I also booked because that was the only available slot open for vacation at my job too, untill nexy year, i just hope someone will feel sorry for me and exchange.

  9. Nobody can predict the future, especially when it comes to AP. You get warned against booking your flights before you have the visa in hand EVERYWHERE. Here on VJ and even the embassies tell you to not make any nonrefundable travel plans until you have your passport with the visa in it in your hands. I'm sorry, but all you can do it hope for the best.

    Good luck.

Thank you, its my fault I knew that, but i was hoping she would be as lucky as i was when i went thru the process of booking my flight before I got my visa, I will just have to play the waiting game, but thank you.

  15. Hi, thank you guys so much for your replys, sorry for the late response, so it turns out that they wanted divorce papers, i really don't know why they would ask for that when this was my first marriage and am still with my husband.... obviously. so we had to send them a letter to explain, now they said they recived my letter 0n the 26 and that they will be moving forward with my case, the said i should recieve a decision or case update by march 27th, and i can check online on what to expect next, so am very happy.

  16. Hi, i am a permanet citizen of the USA because my hsband filed for me, I migrated here in may 2013, now my husband is filling for my daughter (she is not his child), she is 16 yrs old and we started the filling in july of 2014, i just got a email on january 12, 2015, from uscis saying they suspend the case untill the recieve evidence, as they are rquesting for more evidence, in the email they told me that they will be sending a letter to my address with the information they need, is this normal or did we miss something when we started initailly? and if its normall what will they need now, please if anyone has had this experience i would love feedback, thanks guys.
