    Congrats on this great achievement!

    Now...

Can you tell us more about it? Was it a combo interview? What questions were you asked? Your notice mentioned both I751 and N400 or only N400?

    ;D

Sure, its actually for the n400 interview.   So 3 of us went to the interview, my wife, me and our son, she is the only one went in but the IO saw me and my son.  The questions are like who is the father of our country? What do the 50 stars represent? What is the one right of being a US citizen? What is the name of our national anthem?  When was the constitution was written? What is the party of the current president?

The notice just says n400 interview.   The IO said that ur green card is not approved yet but i saw ur child so this is going to be easy.  So after she passed the interview, the IO explained her when and where you will take the oathtaking.  So she just said my wife passed the interview but not the ROC, but she will take a look at it.  The next day i received a text that my wife's GC and citizenship is approved.

In my case only N-400 interview (6/28) and when asked to IO about I-751,  he said you would review it.  I received passed test and no decision can't be make on the interview date.  Got both I-751 and N-400 are approved on July 3.  So take your spouse with you.  They might do comb or just N-400 and then approve I-751.   Did you get any notice that your I-751 was transferred to NBC?

    When is ur oathtaking?

    Hi all,

I am in Miami and filed for I-751 in September 2017, and for N400 in November 2018.

This past Monday (7/1) I received a notice that my interview for naturalization is about to be scheduled.

Does anyone know how long it takes between receiving this message and having a date set up for the interview?

    Thanks in advance!

    It is about a month

I applied for my removal of conditions in sept 2017 and applied for my N400 in sept 2018 and still waiting ... who else is in the same boat?

I am in the same situation as urs.  Same date of filing the roc and also the n400.   The latest is the n400 was moved to a different office last may 2019.   We already got an I551 stamp from the local office and they said to be patient and we cannot approve ur n400 with the i751 not being approved yet.

    Hi everyone! I filed I-751 in September 14, 2017 then filed N-400 in December 7, 2018.

I finally got interview dates for both cases!

N-400 is in April 22 and I-751 is in May 15.

My online case status of I-751 hasn’t changed since March 1st and it says: “Case was transferred to your local USCIS office to have an interview scheduled.” ...So I didn’t expect to get the letter today.

I was hoping to have a combo interview since it’ll be at the same office but I guess it’s not happening. However my husband is still coming with me for my N-400 interview ( just to be there for me) so I’ll bring this letter and documents of I-751 just in case.

*Posting this on both threads I-751 and N-400 for sharing my updates.

My timeline (As of April 13, 2018)

Thanks to all that responded. I got my  i 751 (filed september 2017 ,Charleston Office) interview to remove conditions today and everything went great. I didn't mention in the original post that I had filed N400 in September 2018 too. I got that interview on 12/10/18 but went without my wife so the officer told me I would be rescheduled because that was a combo interview and my wife had to be with me. So one piece of advice, if you get the combo interview, take your spouse with you, no matter what.

Today I thought I'd only have the i751 interview, the officer was super nice and told me after approving my i751 (very simple questions) "you're not going anywhere, since you're here let's have the N400 interview too" I waited in the lobby for around 20' checking my Civics Test app (there are a few on the appstore) this really helped me prepare. After that time, another officer called me and conducted the N400 interview, he made me read one sentence from a Tablet (who's the commander in chief of armed forces? ) and asked me to write the answer on the same tablet with a stylus. He then asked me 6 questions from that booklet they have , I answered correctly all of them.During the interview he asked me questions covering his mouth while typing in the computer, I guess to test my listening English skills, he asked me simple questions (what's your SSN, where do you work etc) but in low voice and covering his mouth, this was kind of funny.

He finally told me I'd passed everything and to wait outside and that he was going to try to give me an Oath Ceremony date today too. 15' later they called me to give me form  N445 (Naturalization Oath Ceremony). I will attend my Oath Ceremony on 03/26.

Thanks a lot for the help during all this time, I constantly checked this forum for the last 2/3 years. It was of great help.

    Good luck to all

    JJ

Congrats to u.   By the way. Can i have ur timeline on i751 and n400 if thats ok

I am looking into filing a ‘case outside of normal processing times’ enquiry online. My case was sent to Nebraska 3 months ago, however it has been pending for almost 520 days!  I looked at cases around mine and they’re mostly all approved.

Anyone else still waiting for Nebraska?

My application was moved from CSC to National Benefit Center.   I also applied for N400 anf 751 still pending.   I called USCIS and i asked the IO on where can i find the processing time for NBS, he said that my application is in the range of 77 days before it goes outside of normal processing times.   Im 505 days now since sept 25. 2017.     So i dont know if u need to do that.  Did u apply for n400?  If u did. Probably our cases timeline is different.

hi everyone.. so just sharing my experience here as i used to visit this site frequently. iam a VSC filer . filed ROC in Nov 2017 although i was eligible in Aug. (got Lazy lol) Got the 6 mon extension like everyone. Filed N-400 as soon as i was eligible in Aug 18.. same drill biometrics bla bla.. had my combo interview on 31st Jan 19. both were approved and updated same day.. interview was very simple like other ppl have mentioned in this. Although my wife was present they only interviewed me. Case status was updated to card being produced but won't have to bother cause yesterday i got an email saying iam scheduled for Oath ceremony in 2 weeks. DONE.

If your i751 case file is also at the local office where your naturalization interview is scheduled than most likely its a combo interview. if your i-751 file is some where else than only the n-400 interview with the tests and all and you will have to wait until the i-751 gets adjudicated. These are separate cases and lot of times they don't even know your i 751 is pending until ur n-400 interview day. I asked my interviewer why so much delay than he said the i-751 cases are not priority. Naturalization cases are. i saw other people in this forum had gotten similar answers.

So filing n-400 seems like the right path if thats your end game so that ur case will get some attention. I was not notified of the combo interview  but you should go with your spouse regardless. I had a combo interview just cause my i751 file had already been transferred to the same office. I did not take any additional documents other than wht was listed on the n-400 interview notice. My EAC no was 18045... but  i think its waste of time cause its all random anyway. probably depends on where and which pile ur file is sitting on. Also I travelled abroad multiple times with the extension letter. Also went on a cruise with the extension letter. never had any problem anywhere. 1000s of ppl travel with this. They know. Good luck!!

I hope to get some help here.. I applied for ROC 9/2017 (pending) and N-400 9/2018 (interview 1/7/2019, submitted for approval by the agent). Since my N-400 interview, only the status of my I751 changed to “Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction”. No update on my N400. Is this normal a week after the N400 interview?

about the combo pending I751 and N400 application, the agent told me that she reviewed my case (she had everything since the K1 visa) and it was good enough proof to not need my husband to be there. If my file was smaller or not as strong, he’d have needed to come to my N400 interview (it was early and he was in bed). The agent also explained me that due to the double application, if i’m approved (which i was), my I751 will be approved but I won’t get a 10year GC because my N400 would also be approved and I’d be scheduled for naturalization (and there’s pretty much no need for the 10year GC). During the N400, the agent will have every single document you ever sent, make sure to send enough and if you want, you can ask your US spouze to come with you). I hope this helps someone..

We have the same time frame of i751 and n400 and ur n400 interview is on 1/9? My case was transferred from cali to i dont know where yet.    Im glad ur interview is already scheduled.

Ugh. Just checking in as we have received an RFE! The reasoning behind it....

UM.... DUH?! We submitted the application in 2017!!! Is this crazy to anyone else that we got an RFE? How is this even our fault? 😫

My friend also got the same as yours, probably they want to get updated with the evidences u guys submitted.   I think they are checking if the couple is still together.
