Wepaperwork it would not affect but be prepared to answer questions at your interview. I'm assuming you are filling abroad now right?

what happened is that when you enter in the U.S and you were married to a U.S citizen your visa type is not longer a visitor. It's a spouse visa now which you are filling for it now. You will be fine. no fraud commited.

When you filled out your visa application they ask have you been ever been denied entry. You should have put in yes that way if it comes up at the interview you can explain yourself. As long as your honest I don't see it being a big deal. They would not have let you come this far if it was totally a huge problem. Be honest explain the situation, and remember that incident was separate from this current approval.

If you try to say that the papers are wrong and that you signed them simply because you were tired etc then you could be in trouble and be slapped with a misrepresentation ban.

What you are listing as the number could mean you simply withdrew your application for admission- ie you just turned around. If so, all is good and other than a few questions, it should not affect your spousal visa. However, you mention in your reply that you signed something saying you lied. If you indeed did, that could be more serious, as it could be material miss-representation- ie immigration fraud, which would carry a ban.

It could affect it yes- at the very least, expect some questions at the interview. But we need more details:

- Did you lie at any stage (saying you weren't married when you were etc)?

- UK citizens on the VWP are not usually pulled into secondary inspection, any idea why you were?

- Did you sign any papers at the time? If so, what did they say? Is there anything written in your passport?

thanks a lot for the quick response. no i didnt lie, i was not even asked about being married, they found a check in my bag, which giving to me as a present because we got married in the state. he told me i was lying that is not a gift but i was working because no one will give me that amount of money for a present. that is when they took my uncle wife number to call her and ask her some question, i dont know what was asked, but he came back with my hubby name date we were married etc.

please i hope someone with the knowledge will be able to help me out please. in 2012 i was refuse entry to the US, i was visiting my uncle at that time, but was also married and my husband was also in the US, they find out i was married, and said i was moving in which was not true. so i was denied entry. my photos was taking,finger print.

please my question is now am waiting on an interview date for my IR1 visa, i want to know if this could affect me from getting my visa. husband is US citizen and my 10 month old son also has a US passport. (citizen).

Good afternoon VJ, hope we are all well. I just got off the phone with NVC and I was advised my case has been completed, from the 19. We are now waiting for an interview date. Hope London is not fully booked for next month. My prayers are with everyone who scan date was in October, yours is on it way.

my dear take heart, we all say things in a heat of a moment which we don't mean, am sure the hole thing is stressing him also. Don't take it to heart. Try tomorrow or late night and talk to him again when he is much calmed. It will never come to that, always remember you are not alone. Am praying by the end of this month or early January all of us who doesn't have CC will get one in God's Name. And an early interview also. Please try and get busy with something else and the time will move quickly. Am busy with my 10 month old baby, trying not to stress. God is with us and he will strengthen us.

I just have to say, I love how supportive and encouraging everyone on the VJ forum is for one another. It's nice to know there are still a few caring, kind, and compassionate people in this world. It truly warms my heart.

Some days I feel like I am not as good of a person as I have always thought of myself to be. I am so happy for all those progressing and getting their CC, as you have sure suffered through this horrid process long enough. As I am also happy for those that have had their expedites approved, but each time I see another person get their expedite approved in less than a weeks time, regardless of which consulate, there is a slight feeling of bitterness that overcomes me. This whole process is bringing out a side of me that I have never seen before and I really wish to never see again. God bless my husband for his patience and kind gestures. I have to be honest, I don't know how he tolerates me in the current state I am in. There are times where I feel so emotionally out of control, if I had the option to get away from myself, I'd run far far away.

Am sorry you are feeling like this, remember we are human and are bound to feel this way. It doesn't make you a bad person. The new rules for the NVC is to send photocopies only so you would bring originals to interview, however since you probably sent everything before Nov 12th, then they should already have your originals and you'll be fine. Bring your passport, the photos, your medical (if you hand carry that) and marital evidence.

Make sure you've signed up for any return courier service if there is one required.

Your son should be able to attend with you, bring his US passport.

Anyone have some words of encouragement for me today? I feel like I am at my breaking point.

Yesterday I sent my AOS and IV documents priority express next day service which had a guaranteed delivery by 12pm today, or money back. The package arrived at the Portsmouth post office by 10:43 this morning. I was thinking that it would be cutting it close on delivery by 12pm, but since the NVC is only about a 15 minute drive from the post office, I thought there would be a chance. At 11:05am I received a notice that it was delivered and signed for, however the signature was very generic, just said N Visa Center. Here's the part that is frustrating, it also says that the delivery date has been updated from today to December 18th. Typically when a package arrives at the post office, it transitions from "Arrived at post office" to "out for delivery" before being delivered. It did not this time. The fact that the delivery date changed and there was never an update stating the package ever left for delivery, it leads me to believe that someone at the post office signed off on it being delivered, just to prevent having to issue me a refund.

In calling USPS, they tell me the system shows it was delivered and there is nothing to be done. There is also no explanation as to why the delivery date was updated from today to tomorrow. I'm sure calling NVC to ask about the package is pointless at this time as even if it was delivered, I'm sure they would not have opened it yet. I am so seriously frustrated right now!

Well it would have been - I got the second e-mail. I am so doubting myself - thankfully we have a duplicate copy of the AOS (sitting at my husbands work at the moment) but they are stating I didn't check the military box.

I am so sunk at the moment. Can't write more - need to sleep and need to see this paper and what it says tomorrow.
