I have been visiting my fiancè in the States without a hitch so far (knock on wood). I went last April and June, December ( a couple weeks after we started the k1 process) and most recently in February. POE Boston. They have been 1-2 week visits. I'm planning a 3 month visit starting on the 8th of May. We hope to get our noa2 while I'm there towards the second half of my trip. I'll let you know how it all goes. I'll have extra baggage too, because it's THREE months (well, 87 days) and a woman needs her stuff. I hope they won't have a problem with that or anything else. But my track record of visiting and returning should speak for itself.

I just want to let everyone know how happy I am that I haven't been approved yet in the TSC! Things are moving so quickly! What should I be preparing for the NVC stage because I am just so excited just waiting for my approval which will probably come some time in 2019. The other day I received some strong words of encouragement from a neighbor whose wife is from the Phillipines. He told me to hang on and be patient. He petioned for a K1 visa for his wife on July 1, 2014. He later invited me to their wedding in NY on July 2, 2014. It was incredible. I was like: "that was fast! I need to relax!"
So yeah, here I am, typing on VJ. I have been on hold for about a week waiting to speak to a Tier 2 officer. Trying to dream and wait for someone to answer the phone is pretty tricky!
Good luck VJer's. I am just loving life here in the TSC!

Finally our journey has come to an end after we started our application for a K-1 4.5 years ago. Today I had my citizenship ceremony yay!!! No more dealing with USCIS!
Thanks to everyone who helped us, especially Nich-Nick who went above and beyond to assist us.

The way it works with any bureaucracy is that a policy change is instituted for a good reason, at some point that reason is no longer valid, but it takes a huge amount of effort to undo it. I don't know what the situation is in the Phillipines, but if the expedites are continuing beyond what was reasonable at the time, it's just inertia, not because some high powered politician is keeping it that way.

Big mistake assuming any of this is logical.
It is politics, quite where the money and votes are I do not know but it will be there.

msbau764, I totally agree with you there, that there has to be some politician originally from the Philippines or some rich person influencing the immigration process so that Philippinos get auto expedited. Like you say, there are several countries with natural disasters who do not get auto expedited. Not to mention the whole Boko Harem mess in Nigeria, which makes it an extremily dangerous place right now but Nigerians are still not auto expedited, as far as I understand.
I have a colleague from the Philipinnes who just went home last summer with her husband and two little kids and had a wonderful time with sun and sea. She didn't mention anything about any devastation or difficulty travelling around or enjoying family time in the Philipinnes.
Just interesting to see why some nationatlities get auto expedited and others don't. It's a little frustrating when the rest of us have to wait so long to get approved and others get auto expedited for no apparent reason.

I think it has been almost 2 years now. FYI it is ridiculous for those from the Phillipines to be expedited, as if EVERYONE is suffering from the typhoon. Regardless, several other countries have had natural disasters, so it seems some politician is pulling favors for allowing this to happen.

I though that AOS interviews are done here in the US.
