    Banff, Canada

    Cancun, Mexico

    Mahe, Seychelles

    Maldives (expensive and short stay)

Venice, Italy combined with Budapest and Prague

  2. Hi,I have interview on 16 February .after done evrything and kept Pasport co give me white slip 221g new joint needed.17 February same status ready for interview update and then 18 same status ready for interview updated .

Anybody have any idea what is goin on or what will nest status.thanks

Did you submit the papers for a joint sponsor yet? I'm guessing not yet. That update might be in err. I would contact the embassy via email. Go to the embassy website where you can fill out an email. They reply within a few days, usually.

  3. Yes, we are all in the same boat but most of us just deal with it. No point stressing over what you cannot change. I see different religious views here and that may be why people see it differently. In our faith, we believe everything is already pre-destined and what will happen, will happen. There is nothing I can do to change it. But I can do something about how I deal with it.

I don't know where you got the OP's 8-year wait from. She filed the I-130 in December 2014. The previous 7 years were due to issues with her parents. Nothing to do with immigration. As has been pointed out to her, there are people who have spent years in AP. In the grand scheme of things, her immigration journey has, thus far, been pretty standard for Pakistan. I think that is what has caused frustration with other members when they hear comments like "I feel like I'm dying" when there are members here going through an even longer and even more complicated visa journey.

We are here to support and understand one another. And that includes the OP. We have all chosen this journey. We had the option of marrying someone from the same city. When I met my husband I had no idea I would one day marry him. And I certainly had no idea I would one day be spending a year waiting for my visa approval for us to live together. But as things got serious over time and we decided we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives, this is something I had to think long and hard about. For me, the end result is more than worth the wait. I would wait forever for my husband.

    1. She has a right to vent and express her frustration. If you don't like to read about her frustration, ignore it. Don't read it.

    2. Your religious views are yours and even though you acknowledge different religious views you fail to realize, you can't impose your views on someone else.

In mine and Aliya's religions its okay to get frustrated. It's a normal human reaction. But of course it would be wrong of me to criticize you for being too patient. We just believe in God and that everything is in his hands and that prayers can change what would otherwise be destiny. Now that we are all familiar with each other's religious views, let's all respect each other's individuality and beliefs.

    3. Thank you for sharing your story. I wish you all the best and a fast and happy conclusion to your immigration journey!

  4. Hey El_killer47

Thanks alot for your kind words. It really means alot. Nd thank you so much for the prayers. Who is the applicant in ur case? Nd wats the case category? Can you please explain some if it as it will be helpful! Nd where were you interviewed?

Im really worried because I seriously can't take another year or even a month! Now me nd my hubby are planning to live in Pakistan as long as i get Approved. For me 3 weeks of AP is more thn enough. I salute to all the ppl who have been in AP more than 3 weeks!

Thanks for your kind words again! May you too get ur visa as soon as possible!

Thank you for your duas, sister. Inshallah your case will be resolved soon, from the way it looks. My wife was interviewd at Islamabad. our category is spouse of usc. you're lucky, at least in this sense your husband agreed to live in pakistan with you. God forbid if I put myself in your place, I would not be able to leave USA due to work. but, make the best of the time. Islamabad is quite nice. Go see Bhurban, Monal, Muree, Ayubia etc.. We had a grand time, when I visited for the interview.

  5. Wow. Women do this all the time. Pretty much 100% of the time... try to get married to the man in hopes of a better life. So what if a man wants to get married and hopes to live a better life in the USA with his wife!

I just don't like people holding double standards. Esp now with all kinds of gender equality being fought so hard for. However with that said, I will mention the tiny doubt in my mind that this post is at all authentic. I've been on the internet too long and I've seen a few too many things.

  6. Wow. I'm shocked at the empathy level of users in this forum. We are all in the same predicament- away from our spouses and hanging in the balance.. people can be more understanding., esp given the OP's 8 years of wait. I'm not surprised if she's fed up by now. Kudos, Aliya for the patience and hanging in there. Your wait will end soon now, inshallah and you and yours will be united very soon. The finish line is near, just hang in there a little more.

    edit-

oh and we are also in AP after interview dec 15, 2015. there have been 2 updates, one in response to an email i wrote and another by itself just last week.

  7. Hello Gentlemen and Ladies. We are in the same situation as you all. After interview, we were asked to submit documents, which we did yesterday through karachi courier service (US Visa Service Center) is there a way to track when embassy receives our documents? We already know about the ceac case status site. thanks

  8. Our case status updated on feb 9, exactly 7days. we have not yet submitted required documents.. and I didn't write any emails to them. what does this update signify? if anything? is it a good sign?

some background.. they asked to submit a joint sponsor, which we are doing presently. it's in transit but hasn't reached the embassy yet. last update was jan 11 when i emailed and inquired about the requirements.

how long after we submit the required documents and they receive them via US Visa Service Center... will we hear good news, if everything else is fine Inshallah.

  9. eh - i've answered this, over the years.

have you had a chance to use the advanced search tool, when logged, from a PC ?

LOL. thanks for having already answered this question.

Since you are very knowledgeable and eager to help other, could you be a dear and post a link to your previous answer? Let's just say and I'm not very good with details and research. I'm just curious about this situation.

Oh and thanks in advance ;)

  10. In a previous thread of OP claims another lady with a joint sponsor filled his AOS.It seems his wife is NOT involved in this immigration process. This is a fraud case guys.

    Wrong.

A joint sponsor is often needed in cases of self employment. It looks like his wife is the primary sponsor and therefore not a fraud case. At least not for the reason you mention. Let's not be judgmental and understand that the man is having a hard time in life.

Assume OP gets in and gets his conditional green card.

How is OP going to remove conditions in his green card without any proof of a bona fide marriage?

Getting in and getting a conditional green card is not the end for a CR-1 visa holder.

Withdrawing the I-864 is moot. There is not enough time before he enters. Once he enters, the withdrawal will be denied.

i think it's gonna be a IR-1 case by the time he enters. Marriage has been 3 years old if I'm not mistaken.

  11. I understand that I need to deliver the documents to my relatives in Pakistan and then they send the documents to the embassy via the embassys approved courier service- AX Travel Service..

I was wondering how do people usually send documents to their relatives in the first place? What courier service do you guys use? DHL, TCS, UPS. FedEx? What is reliable and efficient? Thanks.

  12. We need a jointsponsor. We were told that at the embassy at the interview.

I have a friend who is willing to be our sponsor. In 2012, 2013, 2014 he made approximately $90k/ year. In 2015, mid year he switched jobs and got an even better job, with a base of $150k plus bonus. That's his situation right now.

So everything looks great except the issue his, his wife doesn't want to sign the i-864A as she doesn't know me. His wife earns about $90k and they filed 2014 taxes jointly. 2012, and 2013 were filed separately by my friend as single.

He can be our joint sponsor alone, but my concern is, will the CO at Islamabad ask for an i-864A from his wife since the 2014 taxes are filed jointly?

What if, we just send an i-864 signed by my friend where we mention the income listed on 1040, $170k (combined) and then attach his w2's only reflecting his income only, 3 recent paystubs from the new job and a job letter from his new job stating his base salary of $150k.

Will this be enough? Or will the CO at Islamabad further delay our case and ask for an i864-A from my friend's wife? Anyone with experience, please help. Thanks.

  13. We need a joint sponsor.

I have 2 friends who are willing to help me. Both are married and file joint tax returns.

Friend 1 is self employed- all income belongs to him. His wife is a housewife.

Do we need to submit i-864A for his wife? eventhough her income is 0?

And if so, do I need to include copy of her green card. Her green card is currently missing.. somewhere.

Friend 2 is w-2 employed- his wife is also w-2 employed.

He is willing to sponsor my wife but he wants to reserve his

wife's income for future sponsorship of her parents.

Their combined income is around 165k on 1040 my friends w-2 and his portion of income is about 90k

Is it possible for just my friend 2 to sponsor us, without including his wife? no i864A etc.

The tax returns are jointly filed and reflect AGI of around 165k.
