    Gracias...

  2. Hello to everybody, We are trying to get everything ready for the interview and I have a question regarding to all the evidence we need for the affidavit of support.

We have a joint sponsor who makes enough money and has made it for the years we need. For the NVC we only submitted her last three years of tax transcripts and the w2s and they didn't request for anything else...

I don't know now if for the interview we need more stuffs or that's enough... If people from the Colombian Forum can clear my doubts I would really appreciated.

The NVC page states that if the person makes enough money the transcripts are sufficient but I want to make sure with people that already went through this.

    Thanks in advance....

Hola Buenas tardes...

  4. So I am ready to print my I864 will be mailing it this week. Do I need to put N/A's or NONE in spaces that are blank. Some will not let me write anything since its a numbers column.

On the spaces that ask for word information, we typed N/A. Where it asks for numbers we typed None. There is a link that explains how to fill the I864 but I don't remember it... If Someone else here know if they can help you out...

  5. Team,

I just want to say THANK YOU ALL, always lurker, never poster but i have to share the happiness with you. We were approved today, mostly because this site prepared us from the beginning to the end. Paperwork, questions, etc. We brought like a million documents, "they can't say NO" was our battle cry. even the pictures were labeled (uncle XX with YY), hahaha, they required only 3 documents: marriage certificate, birth certificate (beneficiary) & police record all originals, because we submitted copies for the case initially (USCIS-NVC).

Questions were asked fast so you don't have time to think, around 15-20 questions in 5-6 minutes:

Where & how did you met?

Did you kept in contact from year XX to year XX?

    How you kept the contact?

    When did you meet again?

Why you decided to marry on XX year?

When did your wife moved to USA?

What does she do for living?

Where does she do that? (Name of company)

Do you have children in common?

Do you have children by your own?

Is the kid in the application?

Have you lived in other country?

What were you doing in this country?

    How long you lived there?

Besides this place, have you LIVED in other country? (We had a little argument here between words living & travelling, because i (Natural Me, complicating what should be basic) said well i lived for 15 days at XX place but that was travelling, so consul fixed glasses and looked at me straight in the eyes, digging inside my brain, and then was more specific and asked about residence and not pleasure travelling. I think he thought i was trying to be smart*ss

Have you had a criminal case here in this country?

Have you had a criminal case in XX country?

Have you ever being petitioned by someone from the USA besides this time?

People i think i'm missing 3-4 questions, but that was the core of the case

Appointment lasted around 10 minutes but overall process took 2 hours... Checked CEAC site visa said AP at 11:30AM & at 2:00PM it said ISSUED

    Congratulations!!!!! :dancing:

  6. I am sad! I just calles NVC and they told me that I have to wait 6 weeks before I can know if my case is Complete or checklist. Today is my 28 days.....my scan date is April 29, 2016

Don't be sad... You most like will find out on May 30th or 31st since the 29th is during the weekend... I would call again on the 31st... That was what I did with mine.... It was on a Sunday... I checked the whole day on Monday and since I didn't see my 3rd N/A I called on Tuesday...

  7. thanks a lot Nathan&Cata

what is W2s and AOS bar-coded cover sheet and IRS" my petitioner is my wife she is having last three years papers of taxes return

    thank you so much

The w2 is something gotten from the employer if I am not wrong..... It is used to file for taxes... The cover sheet you can get it on the CEAC that has to go in the AOS and IV package... It is available after you pay the fees... The IRS is from where your wife can get the transcripts....

Hello It was what we sent if I can help:

    For my husband:

    · AOS bar-coded cover sheet

    · Form I-864 (signed and dated)

    · 2015 Tax Transcript

    · 2014 Tax Transcript

    · Signed statement of not providing 2013 taxes.

    JOINT SPONSOR’S DOCUMENTS

    · Form I-864 (signed and dated)

    · 2015 Tax Return

    · 2014 Tax Transcript

    · 2013 Tax Transcript

    · Proof of the U.S citizenship (Copy of USA Passport).

DOCUMENTS TO PROVE RESIDENCE IN THE USA

    · Cover letter

    · Attached documents

Our sponsor also provided her W2s..... Since she made a mistake and instead of requesting her 2015 transcripts she requested her 2015 account taxes...

You can find all the information here:

  9. Yes, your spouse files an I-864, any additional sponsors file I-864A

No, that's not right... If the sponsors are joining income they will file an I-864 and an I-864A that's when they live at the same house..... But if they are different sponsors they have to file two I864.... In my case, my husband filed an I-864 and a close friend filed an I-864 also.... We were thinking about using his sister as a sponsor but she doesn't make enough to sponsor me... But if we had used her as a sponsor she would have had to add her income with her husband... So her husband would have had to file an I-864A....

That's in the NVC page... Idk... People can correct me here.... :)
