I was able to find case status online earlier, but recently it shows “ USCIS cannot provide with information for your case, plz contact the USCIS contact”(as the attached pic)
but I called, and talked to the customer service, he said he can find it, just the online status sometimes doesn’t show.
Is this normal?

Does anyone have any more good news?
We just checked the CEAC site and our case made it to the Taiwan "embassy" (aka, AIT) and it is now READY. :-)

Thanks so much, LoveinGhana! We are ready to run! Haha

We are having a similar problem with my timeline. Our NOA2 to received by NVC dates are separated by 113 days and we are getting errors which prevent us from updating our timeline.

?????!!!!
So happy for you! it's so funny, I feel like I've got mine too lol. Congratulations. I hope everything goes quickly from now!!
I made another post about this 'fiasco' lol. I'm tryna get enough people to read about this and try and get their situations resolved.
?? so happy for you!!
Thanks, Howeetest D. Hang in there. We hope you get your case number soon.

Yay! Good news in a follow up call from Congresswoman Johnson's office. She said there was an update to our case. I called NVC and got a case number, invoice number, and beneficiary number today.

It looks like today is the day for good news. I got a follow up call from Congresswoman Johnson's office today. She said there was an update to our case. I'm now on hold with NVC waiting to talk to someone about our case.
I'm hoping that I will get a case number and can start the visa process going and be with my finance soon.

Tonight, I will call NVC again for the millionth time. I'm nervous and my heart is already beating fast, hoping for good news, but my mind expects to hear the same old bad news, "it takes up to 35 days for NVC to receive and process your case" nonsense that I keep hearing. It's already been 92 days since the first time USCIS/TSC sent our case to NVC. It's been 112 days since NOA2 and 19 days since they resent the case it to NVC. Yeah, it's frustrating that some get their cases from NOA2 to NVC in less than 19 days, but I'm still happy for everyone else who has cases that are moving smoothly. For those in the same position as us, I feel for you and hope that we all hear good news soon.

Hi, Howeetest D. Did you get a notice saying that CSC sent your case to NVC? At this point, according to the statistics page at http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=5&op2=d&op3=1&op4=9&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=California%20Service%20Center&op66=All&op7=All&dfile=No&adv=1 you and many others from the CSC have cases that have not been received by NVC yet. Hang in there. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Yeah, USCIS has been one of the most disorganized government agencies I've worked with.. and that says a lot considering a majority of government is disorganized. I can see why you'd be distrustful of them - and that isn't to say they didn't screw up - I just don't think it was intentional. They seem to screw up a lot about this process. Much of it is because on the USCIS service center side they aren't using a fully digital system. A lot of this is hand keyed and actually reviewed on paper. There's a lot of room for error. At NVC it's typically better, though even they have some issues there. Malicious or intentional I doubt but disorganized and not all their ducks in a row? Definitely.
Good luck - hopefully it gets straightened out soon. At the very least once it reaches the embassy you know it's at it's final destination.
I work for the Federal government and assume that USCIS/TSC and NVC are similar to where I work. Budget cuts and worker shortages make it difficult to keep up a high level of customer service. Problems are inevitable, but I always do my best to provide the best customer service that I can. This frustrates me because I can understand the difficulties in dealing with hundreds of thousands of cases and looking for problems with a few, but dealing with those problems is just as important as every other case that goes smoothly.

yeah same thing happened to me.. they said they received it on March 25th and I called them back a week later and they said they hadn't received it
makes no sense !
Hope everything is ok with your case. We have been waiting for our case to reach NVC for 106 days since our NOA2 (we don't even want to count now)! So far, just in a phone call, a Tier 2 officer said they had re-sent the case to NVC, but we did not get notification from TSC. We hope they are telling the truth this time.
Next time you call the NVC, if your case is not in the system, ask to talk to a Tier 2 officer. Let the regular customer service personnel know that someone said it was there and then later someone else said that it was not there. Ask Tier 2 to submit an SRMT (Service Request Management Tool) to find out if everything is ok with your case. It will take a while for a response to the service request, but it may prevent or fix a problem that may exist with your case. I hope your case is not on the same path that our case was on, going to NRC instead of NVC. Good luck and keep all of us up to date with your progress.

You also need to take into consideration that the period of time between your NOA2 and the original shipping date included a MULTITUDE of holidays. You typically can't include - Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Day after Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day. So right there a week is gone. Dec 24, Dec 25, Dec 26, Dec 31, Jan 1. Not to mention weekends and holidays. It sounds like your original shipping was right on track, however something happened in the transit and it had to be resent. Sometimes it just happens that way - one person's file takes longer than others in the same situation. I wouldn't think there's any red flags here.
Thanks for you input. What you say makes sense. At this point, we are so distrustful of USCIS and NVC after all of the different stories I have been told and after they sent our case to the wrong place and did not correct it until two months later.
The first two times I called NVC, they said they received our case on January 14, 2015, but to wait for the case to be input into the system. The third time I called, they said they couldn't find our SRC# in the system, but that it takes 42 days to enter it into the system. The next few times I called, they repeated the 42 days and also came up with a new 35 days period. After passing the 42 day and 35 day marks, they said it takes 90 days. All of this was said when I saw everyone else on Visa Journey getting their cases sent to NVC in 7-21 days. I guess I just have to have faith in the system that this time they got it right and that we will get a case number soon.

Sometimes the site is never update or slow to update, because if you called they'd give a different answer than the website says. Seems to be more of a CSC thing for whatever reason. I know mine's K1 so it may not be relevant but here's mine below......
NOA 2 3/20/15
Sent to NVC 3/27/15
NVC Recieved 4/3/15
Only 7 days after NOA2, your case was sent to NVC and then received 14 days after NOA2. That's less than the 20 days it took for them just to say they were sending our case to NVC. Looks strange to me. I think instead of sending it within one week, like most cases, it sat around and then was sent to NRC. I can't prove it, but it sure looks suspicious. Thanks for your input.
-
If you're doing K1 might want to change it on your profile. I thought you were f-1 but it looks like you're k1
Thanks for noticing that. You are correct and I have changed my profile.

How long after your NOA2 was your "Sent to NVC" notice? In our case, it was 20 days!!! The reason I'm curious is because our case was "accidentally" sent to NRC instead of NVC and I noticed something in the K1 Visa Timelines http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=5&op2=d&op3=1&op4=44&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=Texas%20Service%20Center&op66=All&op7=All&dfile=No&adv=1 A couple of cases approved near 12/18/2014 were at NVC around the time that our case was just being sent out.
If other people are getting their NOA2 and then their "sent to NVC" notice the same day as their NOA2 or close to it, in hind-sight, it looks like a red flag of trouble to me.
12/18/2014: our NOA2
01/07/2015: our case sent to NVC
03/20/2015: our case was resent to NVC (and wondering when it will arrive at NVC and get a case number)

We finally heard some good news today from a Tier 2 officer at USCIS. Our case was mis-sent to NRC, but it was returned to USCIS/TSC and then shipped out to NVC on March 20 at 6:46pm.

Hello guys I need some help here, my case was sending to NVR, and I got an email just las week that my case was found in NRC, and then they going reviewing and sending back to NVC, I just needed to know how long it takes and accidentally they sent my case there, can you give me some information about it? I appreciate it.
I think I am having the same problem here with the TSC sending my case to NRC instead of NVC. Did they eventually get your case sent to NVC? How long did it take to get to NVC after they requested the case be sent from NRC to NVC?
Before getting the email saying they found your case at NRC, what steps did you take to get to get them to investigate and find your case?
I talked to a Tier 2 person at USCIS and they submitted a Service Request (SRMT) and then I got an email saying they were requesting that my case be sent to NVC, but it didn't actually say that they found my case, only that they were requesting that it be sent to NVC. Among other things, I also have Senator Ted Cruz's office investigating the situation and trying to get USCIS to expedite my case since it is so out of normal time frame.

My NOA2 expired a few days before it arrived at NVC. There weren't any problems or delays due to that, and our petition approval was extended by 4 months (not sure by who, but that's what it says on my fiancee's visa).
In other words, that's one thing you don't have to worry about...
Thank you, usmsbow. What you said really makes me feel better....
-
Not sure if we need to worry about the expiration of NOA2. Our NOA 2 is going to expire in 3 weeks, and so far, we only have an email(March 7th) from USCIS service request said they sent to wrong location, and will called back the file and then send it to NVC.
However, so far we have not got any notice from TSC. Not sure what will happen if NOA 2 expires before they do something......

Just venting a little...
Today is day 87 after NOA2 approval (December 18, 2014) and we are hoping to hear from USCIS/NVC soon, saying they have sent/received our case. This is a long and stressful wait for us.
We had planned to marry in February, but instead we were left in a state of libo because USCIS said they sent our case to NVC on January 7, but NVC says they never received it.
We have contacted:
- February 12, NVCResearch@state.gov (no response at all),
- February 13, Senator Cornyn to submit a Congressional Inquiry (waiting for response from USCIS/NVC),
- February 13, Congresswoman Johnson to submit a Congressional Inquiry (waiting for response from USCIS/NVC),
- February 13, Senator Cruz to submit a Congressional Inquiry (waiting for response from USCIS/NVC),
- March 5, USCIS Ombudsman (received email reply, wait up to 60 days for action/response),
- March 6, SCOPSSCATA and TSC NCSCfollowup (received email reply, wait up to 60 days for action/response),
- March 6, USCIS Tier 2 Service Request (received email reply, wait up to 90 days for action/response),
I have done everything I can at this point and now it's just a matter of waiting for someone to get our case found and moving again.
The waiting is driving us crazy.
Please say a prayer for us and send loving thoughts our way. Thanks so much.
Done venting. I feel better.

I got an e-mail last night saying thatmy case was transferred to the department of state. What does that mean please.
Your case is supposed to leave USCIS and be shipped to the National Visa Center (NVC). You can start calling NVC (603-334-0700, option 2) in a couple of weeks to get your case number.
